Beautiful looking car but disappointingly torqueless. Power is OK but needs to rev too hard to achieve max power... Who the hell will redline all the time to keep up? WRX or Mazda 3 MPS is money MUCH better spent. Uber torque at such low torque... Experience the kick in the nuts torque delivery which takes you too 100km/h in second gear in a snap.

the reason that i say its exclusive is cause there are so few of em on roads where i am..it's flooded with jdm type Rs everywhere..i would definitely want to own a wrx for the performance it offers with what i am paying...but there are complications in getting a turbo car,the amount of insurrance u pay for a wrx is horrid..enough of whinning on my side..i love the wrx and the type R and i would say both are very different cars. Imo the fn2r aint a track car to begin with.

Yes they aren't in the same league but you are probably the only one that realizes Vtec aint equivalent to turbo. Don't know how much WRX is where you are but here in Australia a 08 WRX, 08 Mazda 3 MPS, 08 Civic Type R and 08 Golf GTI are the same price. Yes insurance is massive with turbo but looking at bang for buck for what the car is worth, Honda is behind the pack. Don't get me wrong, I respect the K20 for instance but not the new 08 Type R or S for that matter.

I owned a 2007 Type GT which I bought from brand new and sold December last year. This car may not be as frantic and furious as the old Type R but it still got Hot Hatch of the year. It's more of an everyday car, still sounds great, handles well and looks the fucking part Don't listen to Clarkson ffs he's one man. Everywhere on the net gave it 4 outta 5 or 8/9 outta 10. 0-60 in 6 seconds aint slow this is a gr8 front wheel drive car. I pwns the shitty Golf GTi and aint chavvy luike the Focus ST.
