  • this grouping of Trowr and Jack together was a dream come true for me, amazing how well they sounded together

  • The vid was smokin'

  • A heavy punch on the chin

  • Comment removed

  • Trowers guitar licks makes you feel like you just left your body into another space in time, like a raging bull.

  • Bruce and Dewar with Trower was his best stuff I think. No disrespect to the others but come on, two bad ass bass player singers!!!!

  • Great Riff Rock Explosions!

    Brilliant:-)

  • one of the best riffs ever not to mention the voice , the legend Jack bruce . This jam gives me gooseflesh.

  • BAAADDDD Futher Muckers!!!

  • Great song. Today's bands should be ashamed of themselves, these old men kick so much more ass. They make modern fake tough guy groups like Godsmack sound like retards. Take a hint, punks: this is how to riff, how to solo, how to sing, and how to groove all in one lesson and with only three guys.

  • What's with the fuckin fade out???!

  • @yippierb I have the original CD. Unfortunately the fade out is original.

  • WARNING!!! Cry Baby solos in this song MAY cut off your head!!!!

  • @sublimy99 has the right drummer (Bill Lordan, hence BLT) although Corky Laing would indeed have been a good fit. Lordan replaced Reg Isadore after Bridge Of Sighs. Isadore returned for the 2nd Trower / Bruce record, entitled Truce. BLT is the one to have, with about 7 of the tracks being solid or better; even the filler is listenable. Truce (by the admission of the participants) was simply not as cohesive.

  • I love the song ..and the pictures...the fast changes gave me a headache ...would have loved to have been able to check out the green strat more ...thanks ..for posting

  • Love this song, it rocks/wynn

  • I wonder if Jack Bruce made Rolling Stone's list of greatest singers of all time? If not, it would be a HUGE travesty!

  • they r bad ass

  • WOW aint this just great, brilliant musicians. Musicians of the 60s / 70s were and are soo the best.

Listen to CONSORTIUM the albums "REBIRTH" and "13th HOUR" you will love em as well....

  • sheiot, this song rocks so hard, gives me goosebumps and standing hair on ma arms, my true test when a song rocks me!

  • The riff si pretty much a copy of LZ Whola lotta love

  • @jazo54 yeah, kinda, with a whole lotta "voodoo child" in there too.

  • Had this in the cassette deck in the buick at all times during the 80's.

  • This is the best stuff on the planet .... Trower Rules!!!

  • Awesome. Two of the absolute best in the World...so unbelievable!!

  • I love the way Robin mimics Jack's lead vocal line. Classic!!!

  • @screamfff these two were made for each other, when i first heard they did an album together, i was in heaven, always enjoyed both of their solo careers, and to hear them together was pure ecstasy!!!!

  • Robin Trower did an album with Jack Bruce and drummer Bill Lordan. TheY were called "BLT" and this song was on the album. Bruce, Lordan, Trower.

  • @sublimy99 /I think that this is jack bruce, corky lang, and robin trower

  • OH MY GOD!!! I can't believe it. Robin Trower playing with Jack Bruce? Oh man. This has to be a HOLY SESSION. It's like the best decade was the 60's, then the 70's and since the 80's it went down hill. LOL I am glad to see that these kind of videos are getting mega-views because it shows that our generation STILL has taste. Basically the record companies additude is: You can't write, can't sing, can't play......YOUR SIGNED. Musicians who CAN play are screwed.

  • Awesome!!..Check out my Robin Trower videos!

  • Just love those old Riffs coming through...

I love Robin and Jack has such a distinct voice and sound...Great Post!..:-)

  • I am glad to see someone still plays like this. Good stuff.

  • "...might even raise a little sand...."

  • Jack Bruce + Robin Trower + Gary Husband At O2 Shepherds Bush Empire, London

    Wednesday, 5 August 2009

  • Robin kept the flag of blues rock flying between Hendrix and Stevie Ray - we all owe him a debt of gratitude!

And just doesn't get any better than with Jack Bruce on bass and vocals does it?

  • sure it does,james dewar!

  • I saw Robin in Houston in 07 and thought maybe it was Don Notts or Porter Wagnor when he came on the stage. Then he started playing....

  • Did you go last friday to see him?

  • As a matter of fact I did. Even better this go'round. I wouldn't've believed it. Just Unbelieveable.

  • Yea i went to at the house of blues it was amazing!!!

  • killer.thanx.

  • hope they play this at the london show in august ...been waiting 28 years,ha ha ha!

  • killer

  • That's Alright, I'm Deaf Now!!!

  • I've seen him probably 20 times ('76 through today) & he hasn't dissapointed yet! Rock On Robin!!!

  • Without doubt, ' In City Dreams' is one of my favourite albums.

  • when the wild winds blow

there will be no turnin back

  • Love that riff....awesome track :-)

  • OMG! Thanks so much for putting this up, this is my absolute favorite!

  • i have walked on the water, now im drownin on dry land!

  • Trower is a master of the wah pedal

  • AW don't feel bad, u tube is full of shitheads like you who don't have a clue, and love showing the world that fact.

  • MM yeah you had to reply that way, you couldn't reply using reason , I guess if you knew what you were talking about you wouldn't have made that stupid comment in the first place about EC ..

  • Smokin'... Can You imagine if Ginger Baker was playing on this Track? Next to JamesDewar, Bruce is one of the most underrated Vocalist In Rock and Roll, as Trower is to the Guitar. BLT Cooks!! just wish they were Playing together today.. In the age of Indie and Emo, this is a breath of Fresh Air..

  • one of the best and most honest comments on this post, too bad this idiot can't handle opinions that differ from his, probably because there are so many his head spins.

  • Robin was good with Bruce, but the song writing with James Dewar was much better.

  • Terrific! Robin is a great guitar master... a Jimi disciple.. another MASTER

  • Listen to that tone!! *smile*

  • one of his best.

  • Nice vid, for a GREAT SONG! Good work Twice! Can we get some more? How about something from 7 Moons? You rock dude!

  • Good stuff.

  • HEAVINESS is back, thank God!

  • MAN, thanks

  • anyone with at leas HALF A BRAIN knows you can't mention that idiot-stick ted nugent on the same page as robin trower. Ive played guitar for over thirty years, and NOT ONCE HAVE I EVER HEARD SOMEONE LOOKING FOR "TED TONE".... but thousands of guitarists would give their left nut for "TROWER TONE"... SO, DO THE MATH, bitches.

  • clapton to trower = aba 2 sabbath trower manhandles eric;]-

  • Yeah, he should have received the recognition he deserves and would've been great to see him on the Crossroads DVD's. I personally think he's a better guitarist that Clapton, well, I prefer Trowers tone anyway. Claptons tone with his mid shift shounds thin as piss but Trower has such a fat tone it's unreal.

  • why robin was not at either crossroads festivals

  • makes you realize just how "light" clapton is... clapton got lucky, but trower DESERVES it.

  • do you feel better now that you vented honey?c'mon jsilence418.... down boy, down...silly little boy. come up here with the big boys , we'll hold your hand honey.

  • I partially agree. He stole the Hendrix sound, but most of his style and writing is different.

  • He stole it and did a pretty good job of OWNING it, like Stevie Ray - RIP!

  • I really like this cd. Nice to see them together again--and getting along, musically speaking. I think Jack gave Robin some more room. At least that's the way it sounds to me.

  • Saw Robin in Miami, late 90,s, fantastic player I was never a fan in the 70's but became one after that concert, he was supported that day by Harvey Mandel another fantastic axeman. Look forward to seeing him(and Jack if Poss) on the next tour!

  • nothing to do with trower. but i just bought 2 tickets to see sabbath priest and motohead. sabbath is featuring the original heaven and hell line up with dio at the vocals. I cant wait

  • derik st holmes rocked the show also. alot of the girls i over heard talking liked him better. trower was better in my opnion but derik sounded better then when i saw nugent. im a nugent fan but seeing him live 3 times. im not that impressed by his guitar playing. but i will give respect. nug did write some great rock anthems. cat scratch fever has suck a killer rythem to it/ thAT opening riff still hits ya like a ton a lead, as for jack bruce touring with trower. 1 can only hope

  • Yeah...I'm like you on Nugent. Kind of narrow in his playing but good in his own way...not real advanced but has some signature licks. I thought the opening riff to Dog Eat Dog was cool too. St. Holmes really gave Nugent that extra element that was needed in his sound. He started going down hill after that. You can't help but like Nugent though...he has such an in-your-face personality and still puts on a good show to this day. It seems like about everybody knowns who Nugent is.

  • Trower and Nugent were in the vangard of rockers keeping the faith during the disco era.....never forget that....we owe these fuckers

  • This isnt from seven moons, It's on BLT! I still have 2 copies on vinyl

  • If you took the time to READ the description, this was posted BEFORE Seven Moons was released as a way to promote that "upcoming" new CD. This version is from No Stopping.

  • 7 Moons, best record since Richie Kotzens Into the Black bout 2 years ago

  • Thanks for a great video..I have the great pleasure of working for Robin and will be in Madison on the 5th of April for the last show of the tour (My Birthday). I really loved the picture of Robin's Guitar in the display case at Guitar Center especially since it belongs to me and is now back in my living room. I was pleased that you liked it enough to include it in your video tribute to one of the great guitarists of of all time.

    Michael Gladstone

  • Since you know Robin can you tell us if he and Jack Bruce will be doing any live shows? By the way....have they ever performed together in a live concert. Just curious. I had the other albums they did long ago but never knew of them touring together.

  • Great Questions... As to their playing live together, No they never have which would make it really special if they did after three records and almost twenty five years. I worked for Jack in 89. Personally I think it would not only be historic for them to play some live shows together but it would also be an amazing show to see. I know there are efforts being made to do at least a few shows live.Keep your fingers crossed and hope for a DVD if they do.

  • Thanks for the info. I know I've seen your name somewhere...maybe some credits relating to Trower...I'm not sure but I recognize your name. A Bruce Trower Line-Up would really bring out the fans for sure. I wonder who the drummer would be?....maybe that can remain a mystery for now.

  • I seen Robin Trower performing in a bar(Brat Stop) in Kenosha Wisconsin with Derik st Holmes formerly of Ted Nugent back in 1986.The Show rocked.I was right up from touching stage. Can't believe that It will be 20 yrs ago in Sept. How did I get old so fast?

  • He's in Madison on April 5, 2008. I saw him 2 nights ago...I highly suggest you see him again; he's never been better.

And, I got old too my friend....

  • I'm a Trower fan. I heard Derek St. Holmes could really rock in his club solo act....is that true. I think he was a really great singer and a good guitarist too....probably as good as Nugent on guitar but Ted rarely let him cut loose....too big of an ego at the time.

  • Two heavyweights ! I have listened to the vinyl over the years!

  • Nice post! The still images come so fast it gives the feeling of a video. And of course the song smokes.

  • Seven Moons IS GREAT!!! Another win for all! Great Job!!!!!!!

  • yeah i have this albbum on cd - its loads better than truce

  • always loved this one. A friend of mine had the album.

  • i have this on vinyl. :)

  • Thanks!...been a Trower fan from the beginning,...and can't get enough!

  • Thank you. Haven't heard this since vinyl.

  • Ditto! This great song gets NO airplay - and it should!

  • Thanks for posting one of the greatest guitar tunes ever. I've worn out the vinyl version.
