  • I wonder what they think is in the cargo??

Also, shouldn't they be more upset when the white man intercepts and steals all the things allegedly meant for them??

  • I like how the fucking christians flock there first to convert them

    like its a fucking race

  • This video show how religion is ridiculous.

We find it stupid they worship plane but we all doing same by worshiping jesus, allah, budha and other shit.

Same ridiculous, but stupid theists cant see that.

  • @Impulse116 Great Post

  • xtian plague went even to these tribes

  • I bet having n enjoying sex is God send

  • @UpNfamish2 PROBABLY

  • euro-centric shit

  • @communismisfreedom

While the aim of this video is certainly Eurocentric. I think the outcome is different. This barely shows how advanced we are. This shows that our religions are just as primitive as theirs - regardless of our technological feats.

  • As wild and suspicious as a savage beast.... LOL

  • @floweroflife7787 These are niggers... They are savage beasts!

  • @JohnWilkesBooth1864 Actually you're a savage beast. They are just people, like me.

  • wahaha I'll take the Cargo Cult over the Catholics any day. "Last outpost of civilization" my ass, you mean to tell me you got money for fancy priest robes and shitty crackers but you can't hook a brother up with some coca-cola and a pair of fuckin' pants?

  • @HelFKiernan No Levi's.

  • @HelFKiernan imagine 10,000 of these niggers storming the port. need somthing to keep these monkeys in line and thats the church

  • Wouldn't it be crazy if god turned out to be an alien?

  • @supernova901

He most certainly is an alien leader... or according to 6600 year old testimonies....

  • A while back a fellow told me atheism isn't about random chance because life is getting better and better. Really? Please provide examples. Next provide a mechanism for this to occur without interference from an intelligent agent. Atheism IS about random chance because it offers nothing else other than random chance, matter, and time to explain everything. Without randomness the atheist narrative collapses under its own weight for lack of a change agent upon which natural selection can act.

  • @kc5qhh Atheism just means not believing in god. Saying that gods existence doesn't meet the burden of proof doesn't automatically make someone believe in pure chance. In fact, mutations might not really be random at all, but the result of pre-existing conditions and complex processes, just as flipping a coin isn't truly random, but that doesn't automatically require a god for it to be the case.

  • Could the narration possibly be any more colonialistic? Jeez.

  • Primitive people and organized religion. Perfect fit.

  • Hate the speaker. "They need a fath" - Yeah and the priest needs their little boys. This is colonial BS.

  • Very powerful scenes.

  • Imagine trying to tell these cargo worshippers that their religions is a load of BS and without evidence and that just having FAITH in the planes doesn't make it true?

They would reject your facts and evidence and call you an idiot scientist since you are challenging their false and deluded belief.

FAITH! Wether Christian or a Cargo Cult - it always works the same!

  • @mysql0 planes are real, yahweh is not.

  • exactly how Christianity was formed.

  • Those people are completely surprised about the stuff we have.

They do everything to get it to, and the religious westerner abuses it.

The westerner should have stain away, and if not, those people have the right to a proper explanation for al this.

  • Isn't Christianity a cargo cult too?

Cargo cults believe that ancestral spirits will arrive bringing good.

Christians believe that Jesus will arrive bringing good.

    Very similar indeed.

  • @drrobertoboogie97

You're an idiot. Cargo cults are based on primitive cultures who think advanced technology was meant for them and not the people using it. How exactly does Christianity fit into that?

  • @randir14 You believe that an ancestral spirit (Jesus) will come back. What cargo cults think of a plane, you think of Jesus. The only difference is that it is indisputable that the plane exists, they see that plane before believing in it.

  • @drrobertoboogie97

You're really stretching it. Next you'll tell me "autism and psychopathy are both mental disorders. Therefore anyone with autism is a psychopath".

  • @randir14 I would say false analogy, but you've done a pretty good comparison of autism/cargo cults and psychopathy/Christianity. I forgive your fallacy.

  • @drrobertoboogie97

There is no fallacy other than your original statement.

  • @randir14 How so? You committed the fallacies of false analogy and ad hominem. I just showed the similarity of cargo cults and Christianity (or any other messianic religion for that matter).

  • @drrobertoboogie97

Except you didn't show similarities. You compared worship of technology to worship of a godly figure. And not only that, you called him an "ancestral spirit" which makes absolutely no sense.

  • @randir14 If Jesus is God, then he's a spirit since God is inherently spiritual. Plus, he's inherently ancestral since he lived 2000 years ago and if we all descended from one couple (Adam and Eve) it makes Jesus an ancestor of us. Not to mention the fact that cargo cults believe that the arriving of cargo will start a new holy age for them. Replace "cargo" with "Jesus" and you have Christianity.

  • @drrobertoboogie97

The cargo cults worship technology and think it was meant for them instead of the people using it, you haven't shown how that has anything to do with people worshiping a man who they believe is their savior. Maybe you'd have a point if Jesus was part of a different culture and the first Christians thought "he was meant for us not them" but that isn't the case, since they believe he was sent for everyone.

  • @randir14 If he were sent for everyone, everyone's sins would be forgiven. However John 3:16-17 says otherwise. Only the ones who believe in Jesus will be forgiven. At least that's what the Judeo-Christian mythology says.

  • @drrobertoboogie97

"sent for everyone" meaning anyone in the world who accepts him as their savior.

  • @randir14 Well I didn't know that everyone meant only 33% of the people in the world.

  • @drrobertoboogie97

You also didn't know that comparing cargo cults to Christianity was stupid, but now you do.

  • @randir14 Are you aware of the fact that you implied that everyone meant only 33% of the people in the world? My last comment was sarcasm.

I will go 3 comments back. Jesus in Matthew 15:24 says that he was sent only to the "lost sheep of Israel". Yet you claim that he was meant for you, not them.

  • @drrobertoboogie97

....like I said in one of my last replies, "everyone" as in everyone in the world can choose to believe in him. Yes he came to the Jews first because they were God's chosen people who had gone astray, but they rejected him so he turned to the gentiles. And since you brought up the book of Matthew, look up verse 28:19-20 where Jesus commands his disciples to preach to all nations.

  • @drrobertoboogie97

In my opinion he didn't imply 'everyone' only applies to 33% of the population. According to the New Testament, Jesus was sent here to help EVERYONE gain forgiveness, the only conditions being that u accept him as ur savior, and are genuinely repentant etc etc. So he was sent for everyone. It's not his fault if only 33% of the people actually accept him as their savior and so on.

  • @Kattyboop But he created those people with 100% knowledge that they would reject him. He guarantees that they will end up in hell, there is no other way around it.

  • @randir14 um, i have autism, and it is a mental disorder. i have once been told by one of my teachers that it is a "disease" but it is a mental disorder. its brain damage.

  • So you taught them about Jesus and now they worship planes?

    good job guys...good job....

  • @Leekduck Jesus was the begotten son of the almighty magic bird lol

  • @Leekduck

They have ADD. Jesus must have been kinda boring compared to the planes.

  • @Leekduck Same result in the end.

  • Judeo-Christianity is a cargo cult, waiting for the return of the technologically advanced Elohim.

  • @Doliath Spot on I wish more people could see that!

  • You have shown your own ignorance. You can't spell and only an idiot today would use the "N" word. Go crawl back into your tea party hole you stupid asshole!

  • lol they started teaching them about jesus?

    we are indeed doomed.

  • is that Detroit ?

  • Comment removed

  • Theyve moved on from knowing that the mountain god will destroy their enemies and the rain god will reward them with fruit to knowing that the zombie carpenter god wants us to eat his crackerbody and drink his booze blood. WOW! We certainly have civilised them!

  • I'm surprised that these missionaries haven't convinced the women that running around topless is "sinful" yet!

  • this is really sad.

  • Australian REPUBLICAN TEA PARTY followers. They have about the same degree of intelligence.

  • @sailrjim you Nignorance is amazing... are you nigger?

Republicans in Europe (Irish Republican Army and ETA) are Socialists and Marxists...

  • Republican Tea Party is a political party in the USA stupid!

  • @sailrjim Irish Republican Army is Marxist/Socialist para-military movement, stupid

The world is not only for America

  • How sad....:( they are gonna be waiting forever...But instead they should wait on the Lord because the lord gives us real strength and real wealth not in riches but in life <3

  • @theresxhope THE PLANE COMES, WERE IS JESUS????

  • I hate religion! Christianity, Islam, Judaism...GROW UP!

  • this is more disturbing than the burying alive of unwanted children by the amazone tribes!

  • Yea, Christianity what these people need.... fucking missionaries.

  • the narration sounds kinda patronizing

  • This is crazy. Watching this should make anyone an atheist.

  • Well it looks like black people are same everywhere, waiting for whitey to arrive with a free handout.

  • oh poor natives, soon they will have to give their last money to the church

  • Metal then how did they get that bell?

  • Hey, Stop stealing their ancestors’ plane!

They just wanna be rich and happy! Dammit!

They engaged in rational practices such as building crude imitation landing strips, aircraft and radio equipment and mimicking the behaviour that they had observed of the military personnel operating them… They are doing everything right.

  • @German1184 So this is the root of the evil white man bull shit. lol

  • The film-makers are unbelievably biased! How can they call these people "savages" or "cavemen"?! The narrator is completely ignorant of their society. These are humans we are talking about, not animals. And saying that the "Catholic mission is the last outpost of civilization" is just stupid. These people are a civilization.

  • These ancient people once believed their gods were ancestors. Now with the influence of western culture and the added imposing of a false religion on them is only worse. One fuck up following another. It is disgusting and a great loss. Primitive or not, we all could have learned so much from them, had they not been interfered with. PS. The Music Sucks.

  • What is the whole film called? Is there more of it? Can it be downloaded from somewhere?

  • @iliyaDZ The documentary is "mondo cane"

  • did anybody else think this was a youtube poop after watching the first few seconds?

  • Great! Replace one superstition with another! Poor people don't know what hit them! 2000 years of oppressive dogma, made into a perfect mix of fear, guilt and supposed redemption from it!

You gotta love some of these Christians. First thing they wanted to send to Haiti after the earthquakes was audio bibles! Can you imagine anything more useless?

  • @slipcurve You really blame the pilots for them worshiping planes? What do you expect them to do, seeing as they know nothing about flying or metallurgy, when a huge, thunderous, and shining plane come in to land and drop off wondrous goods at an airport. There is no one you can blame here for the creation of a cargo cult.

  • @ZombiezuRFER

You didn't get it. I was talking about the Christian missionary workers.

  • @slipcurve Christians do as christians do. Missionaries are meant to convert or otherwise spread the word about christianity, that is their job. To hate the actual missionaries for it is wrong. All religions have missionaries. Don't blame any of them for anything, as conversion is a personal thing that the person who converts CHOOSES to do.

  • @ZombiezuRFER

That logic doesn't work. The job of the neo-Nazi's is to violently assault racial minorities, that's what they do. Many countries have neo-Nazi's, don't hate the neo-Nazi's.

When people with higher technology and superior scientific knowledge interact with primitive native cultures, they have a certain responsibility. The natives are going to look up to us, we cannot feed some superstitious bullshit to replace their own.

  • @slipcurve But did I even mention neo nazis? No, I spoke of missionaries. A missionary does his job to convert. There is no violence with the missionary job, unless the missionary was him/herself violent. I fail to see

  • @ZombiezuRFER

    It's an analogue, dummy.

Even though modern day missionaries don't use violence any-more, they are abusing their position as people from a culture with higher technology and vastly superior quality of life. It doesn't take much to convince a primitive (that's why they do it there - only children and primitive people fall for that crap).

They shouldn't do it just because "that's what they do". It's immoral to teach superstition to gullible people who know next to nothing.

  • @ZombiezuRFER Don't fail to consider all the times conversion happened at the barrel of a gun, the tip of a whip or the blade of a sword. Missionaries, while considered peaceful now, have in the past used violent means to convert the people. Haven't you read Joseph Conrad's "Heart of Darkness"?

  • @ZombiezuRFER That's idiotic reasoning, as what you have just said contradicts so much of law, politics, and basic morality. The only person this stupid rule would apply to is the weatherman.

  • @skydome29 How is that idiocy? A missionary does his job to convert. There is no violence with the missionary job, unless the missionary was him/herself violent. I fail to see your argument stand.

  • @ZombiezuRFER "Don't blame any of them for anything" is mostly what I was talking of, being a missionary excusses no one from anything. I was saying it was idiocy to assume missionaries had diplomatic immunity, that's all.

  • it's too bad that missionaries take advantage of people who don't know any better than to believe in fairy tales about a guy named jesus

  • Blood-guzzling Mau Mau cannibals exemplify all non-monotheists. (Just thought I'd throw that in, as long as we're folowing that line of reasoning here...)

  • @KublahKraus

    GOD doesn't exist!!!

  • @BaroneAlTavolo Then how do you know His name, wiseguy?

  • The Cargo Cults are extinct now and would have been forgotten a long time ago if atheists hadn't made a cottage industry out of Cargo Cult videos.

  • @KublahKraus Oh so it's the fault of Atheists that someone bothered to record the disgusting behavior of the Catholic Church ....

  • @KublahKraus - Atheism is itself a sort of Cargo Cult where all that is can be explained by random chance and necessity operating over time. Everything we need just appeared a long time ago in a galaxy far away. I find the similarity between the cargo cultist bamboo airplanes and atheist cosmology and science (sic) striking.

  • @kc5qhh Atheism is not about random chance. Atheism says that life is getting better and better. How is that random chance?

  • Christianity is still destroying people lives. All religion should look at this video and compare it to their believes... to their gods.

  • @miztergray Jesus loves you, you fag.

  • @KublahKraus And there you go proving my point. It seems to me that being a fag is far less harmful than being a christian...

  • @miztergray I'd agree with that, I have never had any reason to fear a fag, but Christians scare me.

  • @KublahKraus "Jesus loves you, you fag." not according to the bible he doesn't

  • BUYABAYABAYYAYAYABOOOOYOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

  • @Rcee01

    buyabuyabuyabuyabuyaooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!

  • While I do not doubt that cargo cults have existed, something about this particular set-up makes me think this is just a big fake for the camera.

  • I cringe when I see those fucking missionaries brainwashing these tribals. Makes me sick in my stomach.

  • @juggep80: I feel the same way!

  • Retarded fools

  • Chissà se il Pastore tedesco o il Cardinale Sodano hanno mai visto queste vecchie ma attuali immgini!

  • Extremely theatrical! Keep to what was, is and happens, and skip the nostalgic golden-age-of-ignorance fantasies! The cargo cults tried to deal with change and society stress that is probably inevitable in this world, and the missionaries are trying their best to give those Tannan aborigines a fair chance. The music of this video makes me rabid!

  • The cargo cults are only a notch dumber than the Christian one.

  • @easyeasy900

    110% agree on that.

  • @easyeasy900 What else are stone age people going to call airplanes and modern weaponry?

  • @easyeasy900 I would argue that Christians are much dumber because most Christians live in the developed world were there is clear evidence against their beliefs, these people are actually seeing something they can not explain.

  • @easyeasy900 Are they really dumber? I mean, at least they SAW airplanes filled with cargo before they started believing in them.

  • @narcissusgray Excellent!

  • @easyeasy900 They are not really dumb. They just don't understand like christians did when they met extra-terrestrials

  • @easyeasy900 - But they cannot compare to the monumental institutional edifice of ignorance that goes by the name Atheism. LOL!

  • @easyeasy900

Actually... cargo cult is even less irrational than any other religion.

In some parts of the world you can attract foreign investments by building roads and airports.

In middle Europe for example, the cargo cult makes more sense than the christianity ;)

  • @MADcomedyPL True, but in your example people who build roads and airports understand what they are doing; building tools for commerce. The cultists are just performing rituals and building fetishes without understanding WHY the planes come.

  • @ehetheri Imagine "modern cargo cult". For example: when the people of some middle-size city decide to build an airport nearby - they do not know exactly WHO is gonna use that airport or which airline is gonna operate there. They build an airport to attract the investors they DON'T know yet. There's only hope that some will come (because based on some indications from the past they know that making such development to the city will eventuelly attract somone). Isn't that just a modern cargo cult?

  • @MADcomedyPL No, it really isn't. Cargo cults believe that planes will be sent from their ancestors to bring them wealth. This is purely a faith-based position. A city building an airport will succeed or fail based on necessity and economics, rather than faith. You're confusing faith with risk. They aren't the same thing at all.

  • @monkeytube138 chill... I really get the idea of a cargo-cult, I know where it comes from and how much does it differ from economy and gambling ;)

I was theorizing about "modern" cargo-cult. A belief that if we make things easier for outside investors (foreign perhaps) - they will come and solve our problems with their money.

Which is true... but not everywhere in the world. You have to be in the right spot ;) and the time has to be right.

That was my point, more less.

  • @MADcomedyPL Ah... now I see your point.

  • @easyeasy900 I'd actually say it makes more sense. It's based upon reality, however, it seems they bend it to be pretty nutty. :P

  • Fuck the church!!! how the fuck they want to set them free, if those people are free already? they are free from this religion bull shit and stereotypes of our world... leave them alone...

  • It's far too late to just leave them alone.

    We should take them skydiving.

    I'm not joking...

But remember, when the church is finished "civilizing" them, they can all go and get their own pilots licenses!

  • Well THAT settles it...I'm not wearing a hat in church anymore!

  • This is Obama and the Democrats in Congress trying to create a thriving economy by putting money in people's pockets. This tribe thinks airplanes land where they do because there are things that look like runways there. Likewise, Democrats think the economy used to thrive because people had money in their pockets. So this tribe built things that look like runways, and Democrats have put money in people's pockets, and both unsophisticated tribes of people wait... and wait...

  • @grexample Yes thats exactly what its not

  • and still they wait...

  • @grexample

LOL are you seriously going around to every video about cargo cults posting the same message, this is about the fifth time I've seen this same post by you on a different video.

  • @OriginalRubberJesus - So, it appears you objec to others doing what you do? So even Atheists can be hypocrites! LOL!

  • @grexample

Both political parties try to revive the economy by giving people money, thats how it works in a SPENDING driven economy. The only difference is the republicans put money in the hands of the wealthy business owners in the hope that it will "trickle down" through the economy, which tends to leave the rich safe and sound while the majority of Americans have to live on the "trickle" a.k.a. table scraps from the rich.

republican philosophy = protect big business by screwing the poor

  • It's real. This is an Italian film, dubbed in English, entitled "Mondo Cane" (Dog World) made in 1962 by Paolo Cavara and Gualtiero Jacopetti.

  • Comment removed

  • Was this a real documentary. I pointed this out to a friend the other day, and he said it was fake. What is the original video called?

  • Those damn missionairies! Trapping these poor, gullible people with their awful doctrines!

  • @boomtao You have to understand, these people honestly believe they are saving them from damnation. They don't know any better. Simple minded religious freaks, and even though I am studying for engineering and am a scientific person, I still like to believe that some god exists just to have that comfort.

  • @vdub350 - Good for you vdub! The daemons believer there is a God and they tremble. You do the same but without the trembling. Hmmmmmmm.

  • what reaction would have been? like, cannibal holocaust
