I remember always thinking it was weird that this game put Storm under water, until I actually read the X-Men's first encounter with Arcade, in which he actually dumped her into an underwater trap. So, it was an idea taken right from the comic.

From what I've heard, apparently all the stages are based on each of the heroes' fear and weaknesses. Its an almost common knowledge that Storm is claustophobia iirc, hence an enclosed underwater stage. Whereas Spiderman's stage had those things that made it hard to climb up walls.

I remember watching this commercial on a VHS for the X-Men cartoon series. Good lord, was that game insanely hard to beat. And why couldn't Spider-Man shoot his webs when in mid-air? Fail! Still, the music was excellent and the game's story was pretty good. I still think it would've been better if the story and characters to "Arcade's Revenge" was featured as a multi-part story on either the Spider-Man or X-Men cartoon series, not as a game.

Hey, I loved Storm's levels! I enjoy taking a patient, calculating approach, and Storm's stages had a bit of a survival-horror feel to them (particularly when you consider her claustrophobia) as well.

Maybe the Sentinel didn't mention Storm because it couldn't handle so many oppressed minority groups in one person.... ;)

I have this ad on my X-MEN "Come the Apocalypse" VHS tape. I never got to play the game, but I always thought the instrumental used in this promo was so kick ass & it's still HOT all these years later! This is how you're suppose to advertise. Thanks for posting!

Oh man! Gambit's first level is a nightmare and so is Storm's second and Wolverine's second... Spidey's is a piece of cake for me. Cyclops is second easiest.

Indeed hard, but I've beaten all of Spidey's and Cyclops' levels aswell as half of Storm's and Logan's. Gambit's is impossible. -_-
