Just wanted to say youre awesome for this! I had the case first & just got the iKlip. I was JUST about to take it back to see if they had one for the iPad 2 but no need now! It works like a charm!
Took you two videos and almost 5 minutes just to say that the Ipad 2 fits in the Iklip using a targus case? Should have taken you 30 seconds tops. thanks though...
I like this idea I just purchased the targus case but have not purchased the iklip yet. My question is how sturdy is it? Should I purchase iklip. Or get the new mic stand from thegigeasy for 100 ? What would be more sturdy and more for the money?
@maroco620 The iKlip attachement is very sturdy, I have had no problems at all with it, and I use it all the time. The gigeasy looks nice, but it seems you would need a stand dedicated to the iPad and another for the microphone. An advantage of using the Targus case with the iKlip is I NEVER remove the iPad from the case. When I use the iKlip, I just slide it in, case and all. That's just my personal experience, it works out very well for me. Alos the iKlip is only $39.99. Less expensive.
@N4GW Well it is pricey, however, it is a multi-purpose solution. Most people with an Ipad would want to purchase a sturdy case to protect it from damage, the added bonus with buying the Targus case is that it fits into my pre-existing (purchased when I had the iPad 1st gen), iKlip. I use this combination all the time, even if I don't have a mic plugged in. I use it to hold my iPad2 as I play guitar (tabs, garrageband, etc). I have to say, it's pretty nice.
@sfcordova1975 Thanks for the reply. Another question regarding garage band. I currently have a mixing board running into my iMac to use with garage band. Is there way to send the audio outpuf from my mixer into the ipad 2 for garage band?

@N4GW Does your mixing board have a USB out as more modern boards do? If so, you might be able to use the Camera USB adapter for the iPad port to bring in the audio. I have seen people use MIDI devices and Keyboards throught he USB port adapter. I currently use it to bring in audio from a Blue Yeti Mic.
@esmeraldh It's called the Targus 360 Versavu. It is designed specifically for the iPad 2. I purchased it for 59.99 at Best Buy, not 69.99. You can google Targus 360, and you will find plenty of links. Good luck!
@cbaxter197 Not yet, however, as seen in the video, I purchased the Targus 360 faux leather case, and that solved the problem. With the case, it fits right into the IKlip. Another advantage is you can rotate it in it's case, versus having to dissamble the IKlip to rotate it. The Targus case was a great solution.
Thank you so much!!!

So it is $40 for the iKlip and $60 case the targus case, so $100 so you can attach it to a mic stand. A little pricey, but I guess it does the job

@sfcordova1975 Thanks. I just use the audio out into the line in on the iMac. I was hoping there was a similar way on the iPad 2

@esmeraldh I just looked up the Targus Truss Case, that case was made for the iPad 1st generation and will not work for the iPad2.
