we did a massive Fosse Section in DAMMUUS (a professional dance company in UK)!! We did fosses world, bye bye blackbird, sing sing sing, steam heat, big spender, nowadays and hot honey rag!! BEST DANCE I'VE EVER DONE!!

This is deffinatly my favorite Fosse number. It has so much great energy. I learned the major dance part at Steps On Broadway with Kathryn Mowat Murphy who was in the Fosse Tour. Once you do it, you get a whole new appreciation for these dancers. Fosse may look easy but it's really not... at all! and every single step has to be at the correct angle and all together.

The one in Liza with A Z was better, of course they also benefitted from having Fosse himself to guide and coreograph them. There are also alterations. But it was lovely still..

i'm trying very hard to dismiss the fact that Ben Vereen can't do the moves of Fosse to fully appreciate this number, but I just can't.

Then you obviously haven't seen Ben Vereen when he's performing... because if you did you'd understand that he has his own style of dancing.. when it comes to any choreography...

So actually he's doing all the correct moves but with his own style.. which is what makes him so unique as a performer.. : )

The synchronization and the overall feeling of this adaptation is very, very different from Liza with a Z, which is a little strange, because I thought the Fosse revue was supposed to celebrate the spirit of 'Fosse.'

In the "Liza" version, every single dancer seemed to move with a purpose, and they had a little flair with the little subtle steps. In this one, I just don't feel the energy coming from the dancers or singers =/
