Since I heard this song by Susannah McCorkle, I am in love with it. After hearing the song, I couhgt the title, so I went to youtube & surched it. Many people sang the song, but I didn't like it. It was missing something, even when their voices sounded better, I didn't like the song sang by them. Finally I found one sang by Susannah & said "That's the singer". I think it ties in quite nicely with the tune, with the duality in many of the things mentioned in it, with this version as it sits with others, even with some of the more fiery comments.

it reminds me of É uma cobra, é um pau - I study perception and neuroscience and it's neat how even the same person can see the same thing and get two different perceptions

so it is with music (Deutsch UCSD studies this particularly)

It's not so much that it's "possibly one of the greatest songs ever written" (but it is), this is so great because she BELIEVES it's one of the greatest songs ever written.

This performance is easily the *least* technically proficient of this song for which I've ever heard. The guitar playing was basic, and the singing was "ok".

Yet from the start, I had a grin, ear to ear... and I wanted to thank her for making me smile.

Then as the song went on (a song I've heard hundreds of times), I started to cry.

It's that beautiful.
