Its eerie because the actual dialog (in German) could have been in Malay, and by changing a few words, it wouldn't change the actual scenario! I am impressed how fazli could put in some interesting and similar words like Pangkor (Pankow, a borough of Berlin), and when he says "Das war ein Befehl!", the translation was spot on!!! I speak German, so the effect is not that dramatic for me, but a superb effort nevertheless!
@MrGangeticus And not only that, there's a great similarity between the original "Years in the academy, learning only to use knives and forks" and "Bertahun-tahun dalam kabinet...." plus many other lines, right to the end where he expresses his wish to die rather than let go of his post.
