  • Lots of thanks

  • Glover knows what he is doing.....Great!

  • Enchanting. What a sad fate this beautiful poet fell into. Often times when someone his so much to give to the world, the world consumes what was given. Perhaps God lent them to us for just a short period of time to make a mark on the world and especially upon our souls. A sad fate definitely for his beloved.

  • come live with me and be my love

  • omg this is great

  • @sotrlmml I found the song "come live with me and be my love" in a book of plays from the library. I can't remember the tittle of the book now...sorry!

  • The version of the poem I've read has a slightly different first stanza. It goes: "Come live with me and be my love/And we will all the pleasures prove/That valleys, groves, hills and fields/Or woods, and steepy mountain yields." Can anyone explain?

By the way, the reciter is the villain in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade!

  • wish it was Gielgud reading the poems

  • Rarely does anyone recite a poem as beautifully as this.THANKS a MILLION !!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • The soundtrack of the film Richard III features Stacey Kent singing 'Come Live With Me and be my Love' accomp. by the band 'Vile Bodies' Performed in a 1930s dance band style as a foxtrot, it is lovely.

Hard to find but well worth trying. xxx
