The Royal Marines sing to this ,'In the cold North of Antartica , where the Yanks have never been , lies the body of a great white polar bear f***ed to death by a Royal Marine , and so on.
@tangywangyify Actually, the Adelaide Crows took this theme song and used it for themselves, but just put different words to it. They are a football team based somewhere in Australia.
Those guys in your first picture are US Army soldiers, and members of the 101st Airborne "Screaming Eagles". They're not Marines and couldn't be if they tried hard.
The "song" you play is the Marine Hymn. It is our official Hymn and has been since after WWI. It isn't just related to WWII. Every Marine today (Active, Retired or Former) knows it, and stands at Attention when ever it's played.
Not trying to bust your stones, just making sure you know the difference.
101st. Airborne in the pic .

Don't be nasty to the airborne, the only Tiger the Marines fought had stripes. ;-)
It was a hard war for all.

Haha, heard this in the game Civilization 4 and always wondered what it was. I'm an Aussie so didn't recognise it.
