i remember seeing Freddie and The Hartbeats at a school auditorium in Virginia near where i grew up in the mid 70's about the time this record was out. ;) i was just a kid, but the performance was spectacular! something i'll never forget.
singers to day could sing like this man but they don't have it in them all sound the same and the writer's don't know how to write a meaningful song with that passion in it.To me it is waste of time to listen to the pop stuff on the radio ..All think if they wear a cowboy hat and strum a starvation box they some kind star ...You can't fool a true country fan with this pop country junk..
I was so nervous meeting Freddie. He and all those of his era were truly radio heroes.Back then a lot of us growing up had lots of love but little cash on hand. The radio was a much more positive way to spend time with.
