the sights are off the left hand side of the barrell. google it and the rear sight (on mine anyway) are just rear of the magazine, it flips up and is like a micrometer for range and the peep hole is to the left of the magazine. Mines a Mk2 1944

Well every gun owner I know and in my videos have never killed anyone outside the military. Also which countries have the highest rising gun crime rates in the first world? Bren guns are one of the most gentile recoiling mag fed LMG there is. The 303 cartridge is not as powerful as some other full sized rifle rounds used in other machine guns either.
I would be willing to be like most people in WW2 , he is much smaller than people today so recoil would feel worse. Also if you are not familiar with shooting machine guns then the first one you shoot will feel like it kicks a lot.
What a peice of crap the m60 is, hard to beleive it was based on the mg42 (indeed there was a better one, more closely resembling the mg42 in US trials, but a draughtsman made the receiver like an inch too short and it fucked up big time, opening the door up for the m60, BREN rocks though!!!

No, i read interviews from actually gunners who used Brens, and they didn't complained about it apart from it doesn't carry much ammo; maybe becuase you have the Eastern Europe version as the pistons did not wear out over here in Britain.

The term militia did not, and does not mean National Guard either, it meant non-military male citizens between the ages of 18 and 45 bearing arms of current military usefulness, without pay or fixed term of service. Well every gun owner I know and in my videos have never killed anyone outside the military. Also which countries have the highest rising gun crime rates in the first world? England and Australia, both of which have banned almost all guns. Switzerland has the highest number of per capita gun in house holds in the world yet they have very low gun crime rates, so a country having guns or not obviously has nothing to do with gun crime.

i didn't say that was the only reason.. Look at the crime statistics all over the world.. and see how it is highest within the US... I'm a dutchman myself and my whole country is shocked when someone gets shot around here.. infact, it's national news.. and is it in the states like that? Didn't think so...

You don't have any guns to give! I bought mine. ANd, like most middle class white Americans over the age of say 30, don't commit anymore crimes with our gunbs than our cousins in Europe. I'm sure this is true for other US ethnic groups, but I've only looked at my own.

No, the Bren did not go into production until after 1933. I believe they were used up through the Falkland Island war by England.

Bren guns are one of the most gentile recoiling mag fed LMG there is. The 303 cartridge is not as powerful as some other full sized rifle rounds used in other machine guns either.

I would be willing to be like most people in WW2 , he is much smaller than people today so recoil would feel worse. Also if you are not familiar with shooting machine guns then the first one you shoot will feel like it kicks a lot.

What a peice of crap the m60 is, hard to beleive it was based on the mg42 (indeed there was a better one, more closely resembling the mg42 in US trials, but a draughtsman made the receiver like an inch too short and it fucked up big time, opening the door up for the m60, BREN rocks though!!!

The bren is considered the most accurate machine gun ever made, as it kept hitting one or two eneimes insetead of the whole gang of seven.

Really?Did you shoot one?Well I have.8mm BRENs were in servise in Bulgarian Czar army.There are still a lot of them in the army's store houses.They were specially fitted to shoot Manlicher ammo(8mm sounds awesome).However their pistons got worn-out just a little-BRENs stoped working,all of them,and needed serious repair.

No, i read interviews from actually gunners who used Brens, and they didn't complained about it apart from it doesn't carry much ammo; maybe becuase you have the Eastern Europe version as the pistons did not wear out over here in Britain.

Specially produced for Bulgaria in the late 30s,with the Czar crest on the receiver,8mm Manlicher.A had the opportunity to hear it shooting along with 7,62 DP and Maxim,and 7,92 MG34.They sounded like:Ta-Ta-Ta...;and 8mm BREN and Schwarzlose sounded like:Boo-Boo-Boo...-it was awesome.

wow, that's a vicker mg isn't it; Awesome collection. That kid at the end reminded me when I test fired an AK-47 on a trip to China. (I was around 9 then.. and yes, firing those weapons were part of the "entertainment package" offered by the local commie travel burea - it was in the early 80's..... ^_^;)
