  • what is Paul McCartney in lol

  • The Beatles all lived in America because of Kings like Elvis. Elvis rules and so does American Rock

  • The Big 4: Elvis, Beatles, ABBA, Shania

  • Elvis came back on The Beatles in 1969 and blew them away.

  • Elvis influenced the Beatles, the Beatles influenced MJ, MJ influenced ??? and the cycle continues.

  • @jlarsena Correction, Elvis influenced the Beatles and Elvis influenced MJ :)

  • Elvis and The Beatles were legends. Elvis is my number one singer of all time since I was 6 years old in 1971. I am 46 years old now.

  • Elvis and the Beatles were legends so cut out the crap and stop insulting Elvis. Like L:ennon said elvis was the inspiration.

  • James Brown inspired michael jackson

  • There's room for all of 'em. The Beatles had paid their dues and were seasoned performers by the time they laughed their way to Elvis's house. He was already sad and stuck with a bad movie contract. Neither was a threat to the other, as each was unique. He didn't care if he met them or not, nor they him. Too bad Elvis didn't just keep on doing his thing at that time; everyone would have loved it, including the Beatles. Whoever arranged that meeting anyway? Apples and an orange it was.

  • yeah thats right 555deal really?!! Elvis was a gloryfied club singer at best! thats it . yeah i know the truth does hirt a bit thats why you just insult!

  • @sac3691 You type a load of rubbish, Elvis was one of the greatest artists of the 20th century. Your spelling is like that of a 4 year old.

  • I love what George said about the reefer. LOL!

  • Comment removed

  • @sac3691 wow really?

    troll

  • Elvis was a wanker i never liked the twat.....!

you can tell in the Beatles Anthology clip when Paul and Ringo speak there don't have a lot to say about Elvis. you can tell it still bothers them what Elvis tried to do to them. when George Paul & Ringo are sitting round the table in anthology DVD talking about ELVIS its only George talking about him, if you notice Paul & Ringo don't have much to say on the subject..!!

  • @sac3691 So who do you think wrote the Beatles songs? The person who actually wrote all the Beatles songs was Theodor Adorno, a music professor from Frankfurt University. And none of there songs were original, Adorno, a genius on the subject of theoretical music cleverly adapted well-known classical partitures, to create the Beatles songs. Elvis inspired the Beatles especialy Jhon Lennon !

The Beatles and Frank Sinatra's music all sounded the same after a while even though they were great !

  • Ringo said at the end that Elvis was trying remove them from America. The point is Elvis didn't push through with that,...Let's judge Elvis by his actions not by his words.

  • I miss George :(

  • elvis was a tosser. FUCK YOU ELVOID!!

  • Elvis was a badge collector All elvis want to get The "Federal Agent-at-Large" badge if you have it you can carry your guns every state in US.

Elvis like Beatles he may afrait of their popularity if you are artist that normal he love and sung Beatles songs most Elvis Fans love Beatles...

Senator George Murphy and we have been discussing the problems that our country is faced with.

Sir, I am staying at the Washington Hotel, Room 505-506-507. I have two men who work with me by the name of Jerry Schilling and Sonny West. I am registered under the name of Jon Burrows. I will be here for as long as long as it takes to get the credentials of a Federal Agent. I have done an in-depth study of drug abuse and Communist brainwashing

So I wish not to be given a title or an appointed position. I can and will do more good if I were made a Federal Agent at Large and I will help out by doing it my way through my communications with people of all ages. First and foremost, I am an entertainer, but all I need is the Federal credentials. I am on this plane with

  • Elvis never said bad things to Nixon about The Beatles tnız is the letter to Nixon

    Dear Mr. President.

First, I would like to introduce myself. I am Elvis Presley and admire you and have great respect for your office. I talked to Vice President Agnew in Palm Springs three weeks ago and expressed my concern for our country. The drug culture, the hippie elements, the SDS, Black Panthers, etc. do not consider me as their enemy or as they call it the establishment. I call it America and

  • Funny how at the end it says you anit no friend of mine meaning the beatles aint no friend of elvis

  • 0:27 is hilarious

  • the beatles and led zeppelin both met elvis, they were both inspired by him, id say hes really important

  • Paul randomly driving a boat :D yes!

  • The Beatles sophisticated music made I, IV, V boring blues human-jukeboxes efforts irrelevant and meaningless.

of course those who made their fortuness making boring mindless music would hate what the Beatles were doing...it required a more engaged mind in the listener...and elvis felt threatened, as well he should have.

  • While Elvis is the King, the Beatles are gods. ;)

  • @barricade456 Nobody can touch the king of rock and roll

  • @barricade456 Elvis is king of gods.

  • @barricade456 no. Elvis individually stands on his own. The beatles need 4 to even compete with him.

  • @Sage80 That is true but Elvis needed other people to write his songs. The Beatles didn't. Let the debate continue................

  • @barricade456 Yes, but Elvis was GOD to them! Both of them were great, no discussion about that! :-)

  • does anyone know the song @ 0:25?

  • @awesomevids246 The song is "Mohair Sam" which was recorded by several artists in 65/66; Charlie Rich released the most popular version in 1965. a recording that Elvis admired.

  • It is quite clear from the video that the Beatles loved Elvis. They said it was a highlight of their life and I am sure it was for Elvis too. :)

  • bollocks what appened to the 2011 riot ,, fukin jokes

  • people wanted elvis out of music in the 50's. So hw the hell can that silly rumour be true???

  • I doubt elvis ever tried to keep the beattles out of america. Elvis and nixon just got on well. Just a rumour that cant be true. Simple fact is if it was true then why did elvis do a number of beattle songs. U beattles fans can slatter elvis all you like but if it wasnt for the king you wouldnt have the beattles so appreciate him

  • @Ipswich4evablue ...I don't mean to start a war, lol. I've heard, 'I know, hearsay' and read, Elvis hated and wanted the Bealtes, especially John, thrown out of the country, USA. Whether or not it's true is beyond me, but it's mentioned on DVD's, internet sites, and word of mouth. I asked because I wanted to read a legit site and decide for myself whether or not it's fact or fiction. I am in no way slandering or degrading Elvis. Thanks, Toni

  • According to videos Ive seen with some of Elvis' closest friends like Jerry Schilling and Joe Esposito they said that those were just "industry rumors" and were absolutely not true. Elvis always said there was room for everyone in the music business. Plus,in his '68 Comeback Special Elvis mentions the Beatles one of the new music groups he likes. Besides, if he hadnt liked 'em I highly doubt he wouldve recorded 6 of their songs, [well, 1 is just a jam]. (a few were:Yesterday,Something,Get Back)

  • @BirdsnBlooms1 It's true. Elvis was worried that the beatles would become bigger than him and used the excuse that they were 'bad' for USA's youth because they took drugs and had long hair etc. And yet there he was taking pills left and right. There will always be people who say this wasn't true, but it was. The Beatles didn't know this at the time- they found out some time later. And as for Nixon, look what a corrupt guy he was. They don't call him 'tricky dicky' for nothing.

  • Who can tell me or where can I find info about Elvis trying to deport the Beatles? Is it fact or fiction? I remember hearing Elvis was someone associated with the CIA or FBI, and 'budies' with Nixon. Since Nixon detested the Bealtes and liked Elvis, it'd make sense the two worked together attempting to keep The Beatles out of USA..Thanks, Toni

  • Why in most scenes in The Beatles anthology is Paul McCartney is the randomest places?

  • elvis was playing what on the jukebox?

  • @Sage80 yeah

  • He's the king even they admit it Elvis o wns all

  • @Witendofi Own All What? Toni

  • I didn't know paul was a boat captain

  • WHY WOULD ELVIS WANT THE BEATLES GONE:(

Why is paul on a boat?

  • The music I had known before Elvis was beautiful, too. But any music had never made me crazy until I met his music.

  • who the fuk does ringo starr think he is ..the pigs ear ..he was only a drummer for fuk sake i hate him la

  • @scattyballs just coz he was only a drummer he still did better than u ever will do and he will carry on doing so untill he dies

  • @scattyballs Who are you? You are a nobody. Only a drummer? Ringo is a name that will be carried on for years to come, throughout history. You, Mr. scattyballs will never be known for anything, except the one human? on earth who has less intelligence than Ringo's drumsticks. Toni

  • @BirdsnBlooms1 WE HATE RINGO STARR THE BASTARD AM FROM LIVERPOOL ,WE DONT WANT THE BASTARD IN ARE CITY NO MORE OK

  • @scattyballs . It's your opinion who you like or dislike, but there must be a reason. I am interested in opinions, good or bad. You can either ignore or respond, this too is up to you. Why would you hate Ringo? Has he done something to you, personally? Do you deem yourself a better drummer than he? Anyone can say they hate someone, (like I dislike Yoko Ono.) Toni

  • @BirdsnBlooms1 he slated liverpool his own home town wear i live ,,he forgets wear the little shit comes from ,, they made a tree in the shape of the beatles in are town of liverpool and someone cut his head of the tree and left the other 3 there dont u do news ,,

  • @BirdsnBlooms1 he slated liverpool his own home town wear i live ,,he forgets wear the little shit comes from ,, they made a tree in the shape of the beatles in are town of liverpool and someone cut his head of the tree and left the other 3 there dont u do news ,, if it was me i would of cut the cunts throat not the stupid tree

  • How was it that tom Jones was able to ge so close to Elvis then?

  • I thought Elvis died in 55??

  • @John37816 fuk off u tit ed

  • @John37816 Elvis died in 1977 age 42

  • 1966 Beatles release Sgt Pepper, what does Elvis put out ? Clam Bake Beach Party.

Clam Bake fu%$in Beach Party! Pffff!

  • IT'S JUST YOU

  • The Beatles were inspired and dearly Loved Elvis.. And its always nice to hear their Reflections on meeting him.

  • Ringo: Yeah...I played football with Elvis

  • Was the CIA thing realy true ?

  • Before Elvis there was certainly something there that influenced Elvis. He had lot's of musical influences and idols.

  • Oh i love Georges honesty lol 3:02

  • George is the shit

  • @slye1991

Whats that suppose to mean ?????

  • I love how they're all sitting in a place where they're showing off that they're rich.

  • "...a couple of cups of tea..." lol is that what it's called now?

  • Is it just me, or is George still overwhelmingly attractive at this age?

  • @YaroohPihPih he was very attractive until his death

  • min 1:37 What song does Paul say Elvis was listening to?

  • @RideMyBMW mohaired sam by charlie rich.

  • elvis lived in los angeles?

  • THEY'RE SO CUTE (Even now!!!)

  • Elvis met Nixon in Dec '70, Beatles split in May '70 and had announced it to the world. Elvis wasn't threated by them or anyone else on Earth. When he sold out 4 shows at MSG in '72 in record time, never done by anyone, had the fricking savage NYC press eating out of his hand, then "Aloha" in '73 to 1.5 billiion people and #1 album. I think that put it in stone. Elvis wanted to meet Nixon and get a narc badge to add to his badge collection. He added the Beatle part to get on Nixon's good side.

  • Great video thanks for sharing. They are Rock and Roll !!

  • How come no one comments on George's jacket!?

  • @llamawalrus IT'S WONDERFUL

  • id kill everyone on this commentboard to see lennon and elvis jam..

  • @assiconda so would i

  • UGHHHH WHY WAS THERE NO FOOTAGE OF THIS!

  • THANKS! My favorite band & Elvis is my favorite of all time. He sent a wire to Ed Sullivan welcoming the Beatles to America. I've heard that CIA thing before and if there is any truth to it I think old Tom Parker was behind it. Elvis liked the Beatles and had many of their recordings and covered some of their songs. John Lennon said in one of his last interviews about Double Fantasy he was getting back to his roots ...you know...ELVIS. It's on John's documentary.

  • Fascinating. Thanks for sharing!!

  • Paul is silly.

  • oooh louk at me, Im drivin me boat!

  • @yogurtmaster1 Thats exactly what i was thinking while watching this haha

  • elvis met the beatles, more like!

  • How sad they must have been about their idol, doing what he did with the CIA.

  • "Yeah, I played football with Elvis"

    Poor Ringo

  • Wow......

  • is paul mccartney in a boat doing this intwerview LOTG LOL!!!!!!!!

  • Bolgi

You say you've been a fan of Elvis since 1977?? So you were fans of him when he died? You must be an idiot!

  • @kassetter333 you can be a fan of someone even if there dead retard!

  • Elvis is the pioneer, he is the best of the best.

  • Before Elvis there was something: Boring music.

  • @MAGICO240 If you omit Bill haley, chuck berry and little richard as they were all around before Elvis.

  • @kevinturvy Both of them began with rock and roll in 1955, Elvis began in 1954.

Bill Haley probably was first but his music was too jazzy.

  • @MAGICO240 wo! wo!

Without rnb, gospel, country & jazz there would be no Elvis!

  • @MAGICO240 Boring ?

Fats Domino, Buddy, Louis Armstrong, Little Richard, Johnny Cash... boooorrriiiing ?

    You suck mate

  • I somehow doubt Elvis tried to have the Beatles banished. That seems like a crazy conspiracy theory. Leave it to Ringo to come up with that!

  • @Kickingit06

Nope, Elvis really did try that. It's pretty much the only thing I dislike about him.

"Presley told Richard Nixon [1970] that The Beatles, whose songs he regularly performed in concert during the era, exemplified what he saw as a trend of anti-Americanism and drug abuse in popular culture."

  • The real story guys was that John didn't want to go, he had to be dragged. He said to Elvis whats that? Referring to a lamp on the end table that said, "LBJ All the Way".

So now you support the war, a baby-killer? Elvis was pissed and walked out. But it was said they later jammed, but had no drums for Ringo. I wish those recording would re-surface. (From Paul's biography, "McCarney).

  • I know John asked Elvis what he thought about the Vietnam War and that pissed him off.I didnt know he said that or about the lamp.As they walked out,John said "Where's Elvis, that was like meeting Englebert Humperdink."Paul showed Elvis how to play bass better.John wanted to go at first but was disapointed with its results. The Beatles hung out with the Byrds that day and Roger McGuinn wanted to come but was told no.Mal Evans spent the night breaking spoons making picks.

  • The Beatles need each other to be the Beatles.

Elvis is just himself. He does not need anybody else to be Elvis.

  • @MAGICO240 Elvis didn't even know who Elvis was. He was lost from day one.

  • @MAGICO240 and it drove Elvis to death. The Beatles had each other to stay on track.

  • Elvis was resentful of The Beatles, that's very clear to me. Then again Frank Sinatra was resentful of Elvis for the same reasons. In the end though, I love Sinatra's, Elvis's and The Beatles music and that will never change.

  • everyone was stoned apparently so no one remembers very clearly :-/ wonder what really went on

  • who is that at 1:30?

  • @elitemx101 :

the late Apple corps manager, Neil Aspinall, a friend of The Beatles for more than 40 years.

  • @jagatinho

wasn't he the road manager too

  • @funnyjunkvmkman yes, road manager also.

  • I love George's story......"we all fell out of the car like a Beatles cartoon" and "I was just trying to get some reefer".........great hearing their recollections considering there are no photos or audio from this meeting. thanks for posting this!!!

  • "Why the fuck is Paul driving a boat during an interview??"

    Well why not?

  • @Spammy78 That was from Anthology. He was in a little boat, then sitting by a fire...different stuff.

  • Its called "We were there when Nixon met Elvis".

  • What Ringo says in the end has a different side to it. Elvis met with the president and he was aiming for that police badge. He said everything just to get that badge. Elvis really liked The Beatles, but he knew Nixon had problems with the anti war movement. So he said it. I just saw an hour long discussion about it on youtube. His friend explained that very well. Its a shame that everybody think Elvis was against The Beatles and didn`t like them. Its wrong.

  • Can you imagine what loneliness Elvis felt if not even the beatles could get close to him?

    Fame destroyed elvis, sadly.

  • why wasn't any photo's taken of this meeting?...anyone know!!

  • @johnlennon1970 this was arranged by both managers of elvis and beatles..no pics..no recordings..no press

  • Elvis did miss the concerts, thats why he demanded making movies and made the comeback, thats not true he wanted them banished because people wanted elvis banished in the 50s

  • id be with george. rollin joints in the kings bathroom lol

  • pauls ridin on a dolphin doin flips and s**t. Dolphin splashin' gettin' everybody all wet, but this aint' Sea World, its as real as it gets. Pauls on a boat m****r f****r dont you ever forget!

  • jejejejeje xDD George is a comedian in the anthology :DD

  • now i really lost respect for elvis

  • @IamAsi94 it is funny you would lose respect for someone without doing any research whatsoever...not having the true or complete picture. People who learn nothing and draw conclusions do so because they like the conclusion they've drawn.

  • @TrueLight55 you're totally right.....you should right a book or something

  • Who had the idea to interview Paul while he was driving a boat? lol.

On second thought....it could have very well been Paul who had the idea.

  • @ljcteehee haha most likely.

  • Wow!! Elvis tried to get rid of the beatles!!!! Craaaaazyyy!

  • @bjkatt7 I don't know what's worst, Elvis trying to get rid of the Beatles, or the Beatles themselves stabbing each others back in 1969/1970....cmon people!!!! Don't talk bad of others when you have glass roof (as we say in my country)

  • @qqsomething You don't get it at all. Have you ever heard of actually researching a subject? Do you think the SURFACE of a story is ever accurate or complete?? Elvis's involvement with law enforcement was real and a lifelong passion. He did believe that street drugs which the Beatles were becoming known for were corruptive to society. There is nothing strange about that view. He respected doctors highly &believed prescription drugs were okay..given to him in ARMY ETC. He also needed some of them

  • still though, fuk elvis

  • @DARK93MASTER no fuk you

  • Never ever will there be another Elvis or Beatles. He got rock - n-roll explosion off and running in the 50s. The fab four took the helm in the 60s and again changed music. I never compair these two like so many try to do. Long live the king and Beatles forever.......PEACE

  • lord. there both great musicans . elvis best singer ever. beatles best group ever.

  • Elvis felt threatened by the Beatles? Who wouldn't? I'm glad he did. He was high when he met the ultimate liar(Nixon) he was a hypocrite indeed.

  • @74TheJoker U are simply ignorant. "threatened" is a word you grabbed onto & don't understand at all. Elvis was heavily, heavily involved in law enforcement. Elvis absolutely thought street drugs were bad for society & youth. He was always involved in law enforcement...you blame him for thinking that way? He LIKED the Beatles as artists& covered a couple of their songs out of RESPECT...Get it? Elvis grew up poor, no access to doctors--he super respected them& thought doctor prescribed drugs okay

  • How cool to hear the Beatles talk candidly about meeting Elvis. This is soooooo great! I love the bit about the Beatles drinking cups of tea in the limo on the way to Presley's house -- so English of them! Elvis will always be America's King...can't believe he is gone as well as Lennon and Harrison. So sad... Hope they are all jamming together in Heaven.

  • lets just put it this way, he's the greatest performer and they're the greatest songwriting band. Elvis was from a different era where it wasn't as much about writing music. That was a profession in its own right. Not until the Beatles were bands playng their own instruments and writing their own music. Elvis gave up after his mother died and could care less. This is what makes him great. He was so good and he didn't even try. He was the Beatles hero, pretty impressive.

  • George's sunglasses are so sweet

  • Memphis mafia lol omg that was funny

  • lol ringo dosn't like elvis!

  • goerge has a clown jacket on,must be high

  • if this video is anythin 2 go by, elvis sounds like a right old git :/

  • Like I said before.... When youre the KING and on top of all the charts, now and forever, people will come after you. You can talk your talk, but you cannot walk the walk against what the KING of rock n roll has done. if you have visited the rock n roll hall of fame, this is written everywhere in stone. If you non ELVIS fans need to be educated further, let me know. LONG LIVE THE KING OF ROCK N ROLL........its funny how you non ELVIS fans are on this site listening to the KING.

  • @rusty692 This is a Beatles vid and Elvis didn't rule the charts after the Beatles came along. Elvis was busy making his shitty films.

  • lol "I think Ringo played football with elvis?" "Yeah i played with elvis football" lol made me laugh

  • Funny that anyone will even say the Beatles topped Elvis that's four against one still Elvis managed to out sell everybody including Led Zepplin who came into town to play that very night,Elvis sold out they didn't. Robert Plant came to his hotel to hang out with Elvis after their shows, Robert is a huge Elvis fan and couldn't stop talkin about the King same with the beatles! On Elvis's Madison Square show he was the only performer to have sold it out 4 consecutive times in a row,

  • @1ElsHon It's wonderful that you still support the dead drug addict fat hillbilly, even though the Beatles were bigger in the 60s. All Elvis did after the army was make shitty films with shitty soundtracks. Even Elvis hated his films.

  • I guess what was left of the Beatles at that point was they knew who the king was since John and George were in attendance cheering him on and that is a slap in the face!! The King will always reign over everyone who came and went even the Beatles do agree would have too...ask Plant!!.

  • I am pleased to see that REMEMBERONE LOVE 's account is now closed. thats what happens when you disrepect elvis. bad karma!

  • Comment removed

  • what kind of jacket is George wearing there? I'd like to get one. What is it called?

  • @EMAARDUBAI

    the beatles are something

they are the best selling artists ever to live and higher ranked than elvis

    i love em both anyways

  • their would not a be "The Beatles" without Elvis, fact asshole. though i love them both.

  • there can be NONE even close to Elvis face facts and stop airing opinions...who was king who was called or acclaimed by everyone and all greats??

Thanks lacy darlin for this share it makes me yawn when dealing with the deaf! Even one can't believe what their hero says then you must be deaf or very insercure..why should it affect one personally..but funny it does! :)

  • You're welcome Knowing. Even The Beatles knew Greatness!

  • @RememberOneLove Oh My dear, I Kiss No one's Ass. Is it not a fact that John Lennon, said and I quote him, "Before Elvis, there was nothing"!

  • @lace36

    forgive me then

it did look like you were starting to bend over though

okay i take it back so i was wrong for once, but you didnt finish John Lennon's quote

that after Elvis came out of the Army he became just a "thing" in music, later on a joke and then went out a loser in 1977

    "Before Elvis, there was nothing"!

    but i say this...

"After The Beatles, Elvis was nothing"!

btw honey, John Lennon said that they could very easily call rock & roll Chuck Berry
