  • Hungarian genius...25 years old..

  • Do a youtube search for LEOCAPTURE

    You'll see a video demonstrating how this is done.

  • It needs some Hans Zimmer!

  • presumably the camera shooting the video has a 3d position/orientation sensor on it in order to do the overlay so well

  • @hop52hj ur fake

  • At all the dumbass saying this is a fake:

    the guy at work sees the 3D model (it has the glasses etc). The video is obviously a RECONSTRUCTION of what he sees.

  • @jop52hj

    "At all the dumbass saying this is a fake:"

    First you might try being polite, particularly because you are dead wrong.

    No it isn't a reconstruction of what an operator sees. With a shutter glasses system you (obviously) can't perceive anything outside the screen boundaries. (which they are clearly "portraying" making it seem MUCH cooler than it is (like a hologram)) It is just a tracked stylus & head position with conventional shutter glasses (strobed RL) 3D display.

  • My my, to think this program is 2 years old, but never heard about it. Awesome stuff.

  • We teach a class using this software. I assure you that it is very real. What you are seeing in this video is a production made using LeoCapture. A person holding a webcam is recoding the artist. The webcam is sync'd up with the sensors on the computer and in the glasses and it is projecting the digital model into the frames. The artist is seeing what we are seeing. But a person just watching without glasses won't see this type of display. The software is truly amazing. Do your research.

  • @adderall5

    BS, the model appearing outside the screen boundaries (WRT the camera's perspective) is impossible with the current shutter or polarized glasses tech(and those look like shutter glasses)

    This is nothing but a "hollywood effect" a clever composite (a 3D image tracked onto a live video image) not what anyone could be seeing (glasses or no) if they were standing in place of the camera.

    For them not to put a "simulated display for maximum marketing effect" disclaimer is just dishonest.

  • Obviously fake. The lighting of the 3D model is different from the rest of the environment. Also where is the light from the hologram coming from? It's was obviously filmed with the guy sitting infront of a computer that wasnt even on and the 3D object was added in afterwards by after effects.

  • I have been researching many technologies that could benefit our industry. I'm slightly insulted by the side-view shots that show geometry existing in front of your screen. Part of me wants to hug you and the other part wants to smack you sideways.

    Nonetheless I am responsible for new ways of working, and would like to speak with you further about development. We might have a few ideas in common.

  • I'd have to see it in person to believe it

  • Fake. The model can't leave the frame of the display.

  • @W4rI0ck Your comment shows the level of your education. Google it and drop your jaw.

  • they will probably find a way how to make porn out of this :D

  • zbrush 3d format )

  • definately not fake, I'm gonna participate in a biological competition and the first price is a Leonar3Do

    meg kell nyernünk ! :DDDD

  • stop repeating the fakes

    this is a promotional video, but with the glasses you can see the 3d as this video shows

  • Hungarian talent >world :)

  • Arizona, Phoenix May 2005, Intel–ISEF: at the world competition of young scientists and inventors, with 1447 participants, the international jury awarded Leonar3Do's prototype with the following six first prizes:

    IEEE Computer Society, First Award;

    Patent and Trademark Office Society, First Award;

    Intel Foundation Achievement Award;

    Computer Science - Presented by Intel Foundation, Best of Category;

    Computer Science - Presented by Intel Foundation, First Award;

    Seaborg SIYSS Award

  • what is the price??

  • @halfmumi around a 1000 euros, apparently. And NO, it is not fake, it's a real piece of tech

    quase hein champs!

  • fake, poe no 0:58 segundos q vc vai ver q parte da ferramenta some

  • @sanzijs verdade.. o bico dela some.. tem algo maligno naquele monitor.. ahahahah

  • Augmented Reality is where its at... There's so many uses for it

  • now you need to work on your bycepses to be in artist :)

  • It's a real thing. I have tried it in the home of the inventor in Budapest, and it is fantastic!

  • incredible.

  • I have no idea how the camera is capturing this!?

  • @brandoncharleschew There is a video of that too, search for LeoCapture.

  • This is the first real 3D graphic in the world! In the movies and games you can see only so-called stereoscopic picture with 1 fix angle. With this technology, you can pass around the 3D objects!!! It is the real 3D!!!

  • PUTZ...

  • Only real issue I can see, aside from what appears to be a slight lack of control currently, is that your arm would get excessively tired for the first few months of working with it. And in overtime and with how fast veteran modelers work, it's a little impractical unless a system were developed with hand gestures like Minority Report for various actions. Very good to see this technology coming into existence, but still very impractical from a workflow standpoint.

  • It's like those amazing multi-touch screens that get your hands in the way of what you are looking at.

  • @Aelfuu The screen is blue because the screen itself is used in the recording, as seen on their video called LeoCapture, thus it appears "transparent" for the camera. But I may be wrong.

  • No, it's real. Follow the link in the description.

    Christ, have you really never seen a 3D movie?

  • the next level in 3dsmax :D

  • nicht schlecht o.O

  • it´s not fake. it´s real. This is a modelling software 3d in 3d glasses.

  • @ssiry Yeh, so how is the camera seeing this in 3D? That part is put in later.

  • pretty sick stuff

  • Hajrá magyarok! Mindég is királyok voltunk, és ti sem cáfoltatok erre rá!

  • amazing!

  • This is simply fantastic...
