  • Gary Busey

  • FAKE AND GAY

  • This is MMA

  • im red belt teakwondo and thats not teakwondo. it is mixed martial arts

  • this film bulshet real bulshet!

  • conditioning is better than skills.

  • damn how is the movie called

  • Looks pretty stupid -.-

  • pqp

  • i feel kinda weak...=_=

  • How do you do the tornado kick aghhh!

  • @MrSkarz19 you spin around after your facing the direction you were facing orginally bring your left knee up jump do a round kick and put your left foot down for a landing

  • @VictorMLight Thanks man

  • @MrSkarz19 any time

  • god i want tto see this movie

  • usually we go hiking bare foot to harden our feet and increase our muscles kinda like the conditioning in muay thai with the shins o-o

  • was wondering when they'd come out with an MMA movie

  • looks like afro ninja

  • I know, except allot cooler.

  • @TDotAznZ

no, this guy looks way stronger than afro ninja plus afro ninja is lame

  • Dude, this isn't just TKD but obviously MMA

If you want to respect the Brazilian arts - and I do, make no mistake - respect KARATE more than TKD. Kyokushin kai - to which the Brazilians have made an AWESOME contribution - kicks the SHIT outta TKD!

  • thats only the intro man, this is a pure tkd video.

  • I Train Kyokushin, but its nothin to do with that.

TKD looks good, yeah, It is fast and If u dont know much about self defence thats your end with tkd guy, but Kyokushin is much brutal and powerfull, in tkd centre of gravity is really high and theyre throwing a lot of combinations and flying kicks, and In kyokushin we are waiting to launch one pig punch and concentrating on low kicks;)

Both are great but on the street Kyokushin is the best;) OSU!

  • yes, the tournament is MMA, but the guy practises TKD

  • is movie??how can i found the movie??

  • its a fake of the movie UNDERGROUND ... but Underground was much better i think..

    but i'll watch this too

  • why the fuck is it called taekwondo when it is obvioulsy more about mixed martial arts?

  • haha for real. plus this guys taekwondo is garbage. hes too big and slow. his body is conditioned for mma, if he fought a real taekwondo master under wtf or itf rules he'd get owned.

  • @madworld4 becuz teh staar has a 9th degree taekwondo belt

  • @madworld4

Coz TKD you see.. is not really TKD.. like look at the TKD competition?? thats not it..

TKD includes many things that they do not teach in the TKD you see with so much flashy kicks

and no defense or take downs at all..

  • when this movie come out????

  • is out in the US, but i don't know about Europe

  • @bjjsubmission what about CANADA ....? XD

  • what is the name of this movie???

  • "BEYOND THE RING"

    It's a nice movie!

  • Interesting! thank you!

  • sorry. warriors came first, then honour. samurai were once mercenary thugs, after a while they developed bushido. think about it, morality is always developed to create order, order only is desired after experiencing chaos. its all about survival. but thats a complex idea im throwing at u.

  • I don't want to argue about this, but I will leave with this comment. The samurai were not "mercenary thugs" they were the trained soliders whose purpose was to protect the island of Japan. They were not "mercenary thugs" they were not hired for money.

  • please watch this:

    watch?v=M0AGbjJMoDc&feature=related

at around 3 minutes it starts to give a brief history of the samurai. from another source, it says the samurai were initially servants, not considered actual soldiers until several centuries after the term was coined. sorry man, reality isnt a dojo brochure. dont get me wrong though, i like ideas of honor and discipline as much as the next guy.

  • hes right the samurai were didn't show any mercy to ninjas and why now....../

  • GARY BUSEYYYY!!!!!!!!

  • Interesting conversesion, i can actually learn more stuff here than on wikipedia..

BTW the black guy is a beast.. Anyone seen this movie? Any good?

  • Beyond The Ring = good movie

  • Oh i see..

    I check it out then!

  • Well, I practice TKD to. It's GTF taekwondo and our practice room we mostly train patterns, self-defense technics, movements,... Fighting is more like, we can fight if we want to, you know...

  • traditional TKD that i learn from my master was for the army and i was only a 2nd brown belt, when i came to Australia i kicked as a 2nd dan black belt, new style teakwondo for getting point sucks.

  • Tkd dosent have brown belts what i know.

  • Red or whatever mate!

  • Oh man....it depends on in witch association u r. Some wear red belts, some wear brown belts. But a 2nd Brown belt doesn´t exist. Tht would be brown-black belt.

  • oh wow, you so great arent ya? :D

  • Tae kwon do is a martial art or an olympic sport? I mean, I see a lot of tkd, but I dont see its effectiveness... or its just because the way of tkd coaching in West?

  • It's both. I've did TKD for 11 years, and it wasn't very practical when I got into fights. I've been training in Muay Thai for the past 2 years, and it's way more practical and effective than TKD.

  • I am training MT too, and I have similar feelings about practicability

  • it all depends on wht kinda TKD you learn if you are learning the amerianized style like most form of it around here then i isnt very useful in a real life situation. But if you are learning the more traditional version of it its more usful. Because it somewhat resembles Muay Thai.

  • No no no! You misunderstood me! I wrote about Muay thai ("I have similar feelings about practicability")!

And this was my feelings only: "I see a lot of tkd, but I dont see its effectiveness".

I don't know anything about americanized style. What are the main differences between these styles?

  • For tournaments, you get points based on how many times you hit someone. Thus, a lot of power is sacrificed for speed, and head shots are worth more points - thus, you win with rapid kicks to the head. More traditional TKD focuses almost entirely on power. Kicks seldom go above the waist and are designed to hit hard with the hip as the main pivot point. You don't see a lot of it here, mainly because traditionalist know that, next to the flashy stuff, it just doesn't look that impressive.

  • What you see now days of Tae Kwon Do (more like Take your Doe) is crap. Everyone is a black belt mill. If you want to see what old tae kwon do was like, Watch some of the old ROC Soldiers from Korea. Unfortunatly many of the old school tkd ROC soldiers have walked away from the WTF ITF ect because it sickentd them to see what happened to the art

  • I think what your saying is a load of crap! You can look at any martial arts form and say their black belts aren't as good as yours or that they are just pushing people through. Everyone picks on American TKD becuase they took the initiative and made some money on it, not to mention the fact that they created one the largest martial arts organizations in the world. I don't care how wimpy you think modern TKD is, it's been proven that it is still one of the deadliest and most powerful art forms.

  • You talk about old styles,do you know what they stressed? Being good people, self-control,etc. We've strayed from that.Star sheets are used with younger kids. Their purpose is to teach manners,self-control, respect, confidence, etc. You can teach a 10 year old kid to do some flying kick butt kick, but that's not what's important. These kids need to learn manners. That's why we use those. Our focus is to help people, kicking butt comes second. If you have a problem with that, that's your own issue

  • actually what the real "old styles" stressed was survival. Before the Do. Obviously you are clueless.

  • i've been doing mma for a few months now, its nothing but muay thai with spinkicks and elbow round twirls up tha a** its pretty good though, i've been doing muay thai for 9 years so this is like a small extension of my training

  • Yeah, except CMA = Chinese Martial Arts

  • HxCkid3 is onto something. Let's change MMA to CMA it so different and way cooler. Mix vs. combo! tomatoe vs. tomato

  • no, im saying that it isnt a thing. its things. he said, a mma.

  • In the Veeeery first clip, is the white guy in the black clothing a Capoeirista?

  • One Question: wtf is Gary Busey doing in all these martial arts movies? First Blizhniy Boy and now this? Not that I have a problem with it, but it's almost a juxtaposition in and of itself.

  • it's so sad that so many instructors butchered this martial art charging money for a belt.

  • Haha. The Cobra Kai instructor is in this film.

  • It looks more like a UFC type style. Karate, Tae Kwon Do, Jiu Jitsu, Ninjitsu, Pankration, a little Muay Thai, etc.

  • No its Taekwondo. I think u been mistaken by Olympic WTF Taekwondo where they dont really allow the punching to head so nobody punches.. wbut welcome to real TKD :D

  • no. chopper is right. didnt u see the arm bar?

  • im in a mma

  • haha. there is no such things as "a mma" lol. its diff combos of diff martial arts.

  • thats correct and incorrect mma is a style made from bjj, muay thai, shoot fighting etc but lots of individual styles are allowed in their fights

  • jeet kun do is how it all started :P

  • I agree with cowofdeath. Bruce Lee got the MMA stuff really going.

  • Not exactly, the current form of MMA, well UFC MMA, is not directly based on JKD or Jun Fan Gung Fu but on the subset of BJJ known as Vale Tudo(anything goes)which arguably started in the 1920's. But don't take this to mean that I don't have the highest respect for JKD. I trained at an Inosanto certified academy for over 3 years in JKD, this is just a clarification.

  • yes there is ... you take some attributes from one martial art and some from another which would be mixing or combing them aka mma

  • It's not Taekwondo overall. MMA (Mixed Martial Arts). The main guy is played by Andre Lima who is a 6th Dan in Taekwondo under WTF (World Taekwondo Federation). However, he also has 13 years experience of BJJ (Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu).

  • that's badass

  • i'm a tae kwon do junior black belt also and thats more of jujitsu than tae kwon do......it rather be called jujitsu or something and i mean the title of the video.....

  • It is not taekwondo. It looks like jujutsi......

  • Well then you need to see more Jiu Jitsu matches. Jiu Jitsu is all about the submission holds, or almost all about them.

  • Ok. But taekwondo Is not like that. It is olmost only kicks. And i have learn a litel jujutsi and i remember som grabs. And the vas in the movie....

  • I would so watch that

but the whole kid has cancer seems odd.

  • what tha? when he fought he didnt use teakwondo... looks more like jiu jitsu

  • yeah im a junior black belt in taekwondo and thats more jujitsu added in

  • lol love the music

  • seriously?

  • GARY PATRICK BUSEY!!!!!!

  • looks ok considering its a B movie

  • lol, TKD to the rescue!

Btw, was that sensei Kreese I saw at 1:26?

*checks imdb* ... it is! awesome.

  • Too strange..

  • The star (Andre Lima) is a Taekwondo champion and Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu under Rigan Machado in California. He also competed in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.

  • LOL he looks mexican and is in California, i know hw is not but funny lol

  • Exactly what we need... More bad publicity...

"This is a blood sport! Oh god!"

  • Holy shit the Hummer H2 weighs like 10,000 lbs.

  • I thought I saw Jean Claud Van Dam in that preview

  • hahaha and chuck morris

  • His insurance won't pay for his daughter's life-saving operation? Maybe he should see Michael Moore's "SiCKO" instead. If we had universal healthcare, more people would be free to train in Martial Arts, without having to worry about paying through the nose (or worse) to have the occasional broken bone set.

  • you dont have to pay to much to study martial arts though... i mean alot of poor people do martial arts.

  • TES! great idea! he can waste time watching a movie that will do nothing for him but wish there was universal health care...... or he can just move to Canada. but watching a movie wont do shit for you

  • yep, you gotta get active. Martial Arts and sports participation in general could experience a lot more youth participation in the US if parents weren't scared to death of how they'd pay for hospital bills if/when their kids break and arm or leg in real training.

But thanks for phrasing your comment like a braindead little sheep f*cker from Saskatoon, you little jerk.

  • i agree universal health care should be a top priority. it is a human right. but the way you phrased your comment was the stupidest shit ive ever heard. "His insurance won't pay for his daughter's life-saving operation? Maybe he should see Michael Moore's "SiCKO" instead".......what the hell is that gunna do for him?

  • I don't know, what's it 'gunna' do. Go piss up a rope.

Why don't you go stare lovingly at your cellmate's nuts as they draw closer to your face.

  • then why would you make that comment you fucking idiot. how did you last 44 years bieng that stupid.

  • bieng that stupid

good mother of christ you're an idiot

  • michael moore's "SiCKO" is a great movie and everyone should see it.

But it leaves one thing out, apparently they DON'T have traumatic brain injury treatment in saskatoon, because jnana87 is a complete f*cking retard.

  • Nice...thats Andre Lima a TKD and BJJ black belt, his wife Chris, and their daughter! Awesome!

    -B
