gorgeous beardy, im sorry for your loss, it seems like he was very well taken care of and all of the symptoms point to old age based on my experience with dragons. Im glad he had someone willing to put an effort into making him comfortable in his last days.
at first i thought it could have been burmation sounded like it but because he passed it could be impaction from the mice fur most probably if he wasnt pooping then it was impaction warm baths could help that. could be old age. scratching continously all the time not just at shedding would be paricites. erm.. might have been temperatures but because you own lots of other reptiles that wouldnt be it i know you know how to look after a reptile. :o all i can think of. sorry for your loss :/ x
well I can tell you that he looks old, when they get to a certain age they dont hunt and they get extremely tamed. I saw your videos and I can see that they sold you an old one. good luck with the next one, if you decide to get one !!, get a hyper one.and tame it yourself ,,also do some research on the internet with your next reptile. The real reason he died was because when you first got him you were feeding him like crazy. he didn't get to finish the first cricket. and when you shook the bowl he thought you were going to take em away so he shoved them all down. next time make sure you just feed him one by one AND MAKE SURE HE FINISHES THEM BEFORE YOU OFFER ANOTHER. hope it helped. sorry for your loss. it made me cry

Did you dust Baloo's crickets and other food with calcium powder? Did you keep his cage temp up to at least 100 degrees and use a UVB bulb on him? The calcium stimulates his appetite and the heat and uvb helps him to digest his food. Without these elements he would stop eating. It is also quite possible that he had something wrong with him when you got him besides the eye infection. People can be very dishonest sometimes. They could have been trying to unload him. I'm sorry for your loss.
I'm sorry about Baloo. I've raised dragons for almost 5 years now. I lost one right around the time Baloo died and it hurt like hell. I had her cremated and I keep her little box beside my bed. I have a dragon named Daisy that I got from a guy in WA state. He lied and said she was between 2 and 3 when she's alot older. She's got health issues and I have to hand feed her too. Been doing it for 2 years now. You should raise your own baby dragons. Thats what I do. Better chance for healthy dragons.
I know this is a while ago and out of respect i don't own a lizard at all but i am getting a water dragon eventually so i do a lot of research. I was thinking since you were feeding him and giving him water i was thinking impaction. Sorry to hear sometimes pets are more family then some people. He was the coolest little dragon one day and then he got sick, eventually he started getting better and we thought he'd recover but one night i went to switch off his lights for the night, and there he was laying on his favorite basking spot, gone to a better place. There's really no way to get inside the mind of a lizard or any animal to see what's going on. It's hard enough to do that with humans. Doctors are constantly prescribing the wrong stuff to patients because they have a notion of what their problems might be. You did the best that a human could do and that was admirable. But don't feel helpless, there's still much we can learn about lizards.

baloo may have had a late stage of diabetes and he wasnt moving because of his pancreas was pushing up against his liver making it so that he thought he was full and wouldnteat. he was lathargic because his insulin want producing sugar.

this is sooo sad :( My beard dragon quigley became impacted which cause him not to eat or drink. He became dehydrated and I bathed him evey day and gave him water through a syringe, he looked soo much beter, then when i wen to turn off his light... :( he was gone... i am still crushed and altough he died, i'm glad he isn't suffering. just think about that. im sure your a lot better now, that baloo died a year ago but quigley died last tuesday. we love our pets and it sucks when they die... :(
feel bad for ya man...........if you had sand in the cage then it might of been compaction cuz my beardie was compacted and didnt eat or barely move but i fixed it by giving him a nice warm bath and stroking his stomach. but if it wasnt from compaction then i'd say probably parisites or old age..... He was a precious boy and he knows you loved him and you did your best to care for him. Could have been a parasite, genetic disorder, or just got sick (live food or even green veggies could be contaminated or parasitic - you just don't know).
The most important thing is to give them a good life, no matter how long it is.

baloo may have had a late stage of diabetes and he wasnt moving because of his pancreas was pushing up against his liver making it so that he thought he was full and wouldnteat. he was lathargic because his insulin want producing sugar.

I am so sorry for u I know how it fells I lost my most favorite cat Prissy, I just could not stop crying, because she was like a sister to me and my dog Fido he had to get put to sleep, because he was so sick. And my school pet a breaded dragon like yours, but they had one died it was a girl, it died beacuse it was very sick. But I always think they are visting us. Like my cat prisssy she visted me after she died sbout two times and one time in a bad dream, but i know she was visiting me.

I know this is an old video but I'm sorry for your loss
I recently lost my 11 week old bearded dragon who had the same problem.
was perfectly healthy and eating, i went away for a day and a half. He lost lots of weight and was really dopey/sleepy.
I force fed him but he passed away.
I'm not sure why he died, i'm thinking impaction :(
Pepper on the other hand is healthy, and eating home bred crickets which I recently started thanks to your videos

that's aweful... i'm so sorry for you. I have a beardy (Zues) who's a year and 3 months. i couldn't imagine how bad that hurts. I love mine so much. this vid makes me wanna go hug n hold mine right now. my heart goes out to you for your loss.

this is sooo sad :( My beard dragon quigley became impacted which cause him not to eat or drink. He became dehydrated and I bathed him evey day and gave him water through a syringe, he looked soo much beter, then when i wen to turn off his light... :( he was gone... i am still crushed and altough he died, i'm glad he isn't suffering. just think about that. im sure your a lot better now, that baloo died a year ago but quigley died last tuesday. we love our pets and it sucks when they die... :(

feel bad for ya man...........if you had sand in the cage then it might of been compaction cuz my beardie was compacted and didnt eat or barely move but i fixed it by giving him a nice warm bath and stroking his stomach. but if it wasnt from compaction then i'd say probably parisites or old age..... Been there.
He was a precious boy and he knows you loved him and you did your best to care for him. Could have been a parasite, genetic disorder, or just got sick (live food or even green veggies could be contaminated or parasitic - you just don't know).
The most important thing is to give them a good life, no matter how long it is.

The part before he got better might have been dehydration then when he got better he got better from the dehydration but died of old age.
