he was not high sticking it at 0:18 you can see it was not high at all. just the drag was wound up to much and his hand was not further up the rod. 0:19 shows how it broke at the reel seat area that is all..!!!!

@DoubleCaffeine You are completely right. He was high sticking and his drag was mad. At the spur of the moment I don't blame him though, that thing took off like a rocket.

It does not mean that his rod is not good; in fact. It is great. And this by no means shows down this rod in anyway if you ask me.
