here is the secret: first cut one side of match box and apply double sided tape there if u want to remove match box keep ur hands upon that and remove. thumbs up so that every one can see that
You have second match box top that is over the real one the ribbon is between the fake one and the real one and when you put your hand over top you are getting a grip on the fake one and when you pick your hand off and the fake one is still in your hand so it looks like it's going through the top

My suspicion is that there was a false side to the outer sleeve of the matchbox that was palmed, hence revealing the ribbon. It was probably adhered light adhesive.

You have second match box top that is over the real one the ribbon is between the fake one and the real one and when you put your hand over top you are getting a grip on the fake one and when you pick your hand off and the fake one is still in your hand so it looks like it's going through the top
