avg is shit. avast is good. norton and kaspersky are good but they make your system too slow. use Eset Smart Security or Microsoft Security Essentials. Bit Defender is not bad too.

Every AVG I have seen so far did a bad job in finding viruses without scanning (=guard). The heuristic is also not as good as those from other antiviruses.

AVG did a result about "Average" in the antivirus-tests 2009.

After using almost all the antivirus on the market,i can say Eset Nod32 is the best one,its very light for the system with awesome detection.

Even kaspersky is getting more system hog,the last good version was kaspersky 7,the other versions now suck.

@kunal2045 Nope i had it when i first got my PC and it found nothing but when i got avast and malware byte's anti malware it found stuff also have you not read that mcaffe had a mistake saying scvhost.exe is a virus when it is an important windows process when it is not a virus.

avg isnt that great however its better than no protection against virus and threats it can detect. some are better than others such as anti vir and avast. each programme has its ups and down sides as long as you use one programme and update it youll be ok

I totally agree! AVG is truly the best anti-virus! I've even check it out by myself, it can detect tracking cookies and protects you in Google when there are results to web pages, an icon appears next to the page and tells you if this page i secure or not...
