  • This video gives me the urge to get a second-hand VIC-20. Or at least play its games via emulation!

  • Sounds like a rendition of stairway to heaven along with Bob Dylans' 'Ballad of a Thin Man"

  • Oh God make the music stop! Make it stop! STOP!

  • Stairway to Maria?

  • @UKRetroGames Sounds quite likely. Strange how they were not credited on the title screen though. Few VIC games featured smooth bitmapped action like Perils did, cos it was so finicky too do. When C64 came along everyone thought: "Sprites..brilliant!"

  • music reminds me of stairway to heaven

  • creepy music in this version!

  • Oh my word - this was the first game I ever played! I had this as a toddler and little kid, me and my bro used to play this, those text adventures, that boming game - it was an ok little computer, I really wish I still had it.. I only recently discovered that Willy was MINER Willy - I had no idea that the games were connected! (I never owned a speccy or c64 - we jumped straight to the Amiga) ^_^

  • Nobody seems to know who wrote this game!

  • @Andyteetwo Well, whoever it was, they made a real good job of producing a Miner game on the humble VIC 20. I knew about this game back in the day but never saw it - didn't think it possible to be this close to the other Miner games.
