No carriers sell it in Canada but you can always buy an unlocked one off of Ebay, and then get a SIM card for it with your preferred carrier.

The N900 is not a smartphone. It's a miniature linux computer with a mobile calling application. If you want a mini computer get the N900 if you want a smart phone do the X2.

thetakerhenry is outright lying on it's speed, there's a video of it running 28 apps at the same time.

i went for the n900 but nokia has some problems delivering them in holland so i've been waiting for a month and still no phone :(

yeah that's very nice it is capable for that, but how often have you got 28 apps open? and it probably wouldn't be very fast with that much apps opened up.

It was actually shockingly fast with that many apps opened, which basically means that you will be able to run the smaller amount with ease.

I wonder should I get this or HTC Touch Pro 2? I was told that hangs a lot.. I had a Nokia N97 i wanna sell it... :( it hangs way too many times.. what is a guy to do?

The thing is that I think that you should get htc hd2. It has a large screen where typing is near as good as a keyboard. Though if you REALLY need keyboard then go fot the x2 because it's newer. But it is absolutely not better. The x2 is though smaller that the tp2 which makes it a little bit better.
