well im currently using Opera since almost a year, and i have to admit, that is superior and more lightweight than firefox, so im now agree with you, and the best option for browse the web in such hardware like the OLPC is definitely Opera :D.

Thanks for your comment. Even I used to think before that Firefox was better than Opera when I hadn't used it for enough time but later I found out that Opera was better so it also happened with me. Your english is quite good btw. :)

tonnes faster. My girlfriends old pc (celeron 900mhz 256mb ram)

could not handle just firefox with 3 tabs open, no other programs.

But opera had no problem with 5-10 tabs, while msn and winamp were running.

I absolutely love the shit out of opera, it's fast, has a tonne of features, and is customizable to the button.

LOL! I don't need to, I use iceweasel and can now stream youtube with my freedom compliant software. Amazing what you can do in a week! Opera is nice but it's no better than firefox. Free software for a free society
