Nice dude. I like how you actually show your hammers as you play too. So many people with ekits post "OLOLOL INSANE 2MILLION BPM DRUMMING" but never dare show us what their bass pedals are doing. ;) Kudos man.
@DethMetalDrums Really now? I have still have yet to see an actual sped up drum video. No real drummer will put that amount of time into video editing. It doesn't happen. It's pointless to do so.
Aborted fetuses are a small mammal and we all know from Jon Petrucci's Psycho Exercises videos that small mammals are great for the hands and apparently the feet.
im 18 years old i use my iron cobra double pass pedals, i use only my socks im not comfy wearing any type of shoes and fastest ive gone is 270. that speed you got there is just intense lol 300? damn
@DethMetalDrums Dude how about playing 16th triplets:D?joking:P....About the tapping I agree ...It's almost kinda imposible to play at fucking 300 tempo 16th with heel ups or what ever normal technique you use...Btw I have a question do you have any tips to increase the speed?I am stuck at 230 bpm and don't know why i can't get over...
@SlayerAddicted i find for myself that 220-230 is my limit using heel up technique. After that i need the swival technique, im still working on it, but, when i do get it i've clocked my self at 290. Also at about 250 i find most people start to loose power using heel up, which doesnt really matter for electric kits, where as swival keeps some of the power there.
@hktmdrums Yup, that's how e-drums produce their sound. All the drum and cymbal pads have triggers in them, and you can adjust the sensitivity. You can set them to respond like a real drum; so if you hit them softer, it comes out of the amp softer.
@DethMetalDrums Also though, you can adjust the velocity on the brain to make it where the softest hits are equally as loud as the loud hits. Which is where kids get the idea triggers are "cheating." And in that way, it kind of is. But is no different than a mic'd up kick drum with and killer equalization and compression setting.
Well, I must say, your pedals looked like jello at 300 BPM's, haha. I wish i had those skills. And the rest of your drumming was very clean, may i add. Good job man
Dude, kudos on the speed and control. Fuck the haters, they're just jealous. Those who criticize wantonly clearly have little grasp of really mastering an art, whatever your taste or 'opinion.'
Are those double strokes or single strokes? If they're single then big :) that's even more impressive!!!!!!!!! If that's real legit 300 bpm then you technically are faster then George kollias!! But I kinda doubt it.
to be honest, i saw the title and i expected to laugh at someone failing at a 300bpm attempt, or to hear triplets when they thought 16ths. My God sir im a fully impressed, very very impressive control. your feet looks like its just floating.
It's tapping, but still well done. You obviously have control over your feet, and as said, not many people in the world can play loud at 300 bpm without triggers. Kollias can do at least 280, and still has power, but he uses triggers to improve the sound further. I wonder how fast he really can go.. :/
@str84ever I would disagree. Playing at very slow speeds simply requires good timing, which can easily be accomplished through subdividing. Playing fast requires good timing as well, but also a much higher caliber of physical capability.
@DethMetalDrums Don't get me wrong, your video is really quite impressive. I also agree that it requires a lot physical capabilities as well. However i see a lot of players who play very sloppy double kick and you can get away with it at mid-high tempos. With playing slow like 30bpm there is very little room for error. What i am saying is that playing fast is playing fast but playing slow you really need to think about it. I suppose i was wrong, they are both equally impressive!
Ironically, the only complaint i have is the sound of your hat, or maybe how staccato you're hitting it. Back off on it a tad on those 32nd's, and the kicks will have even more clarity. I say again though, good job!!!
What trigger set up are you using! My drummer is getting really good at double strokes and now I need a different set up to record his speed! I'm going to buy a triggering set up for acoustic drums and was wondering what you were using for a triggering brain?? Sounds fucking sweet BTW!!!
