Rapid Fire raises the maximum fire rate a bit. The MK14 has a low limit on how fast it's allowed to fire (to discourage spraying with such a powerful gun).

Normally its maximum fire rate is 545 RPM, which really isn't that fast. You would find some of your trigger pulls would be skipped. Rapid Fire raises the maximum to 681 RPM, and you'll find the gun faster, and skipping far fewer pulls.

this gun is a really beast... i was used to play type 95,but for some reasons,i didn´t get the OP!!!111!!11! part of this t95... But worth it ,my aiming got better. your wrong, a silencer does drop off the damage and range on every gun by atleast 20. its been proven, go on call of duty elite, look at a guns stats, then put a silencer on it, it will show u on the chart that the damage drops and range.

@LiveStrongandFail Nah damage doesn't drop just the range. Guns still kill with the same amount of bullets at close range and at the longest range the damage just drops off faster inbetween. That's pretty common knowledge.

@EpicCrunch13 Nope. The MK4 will always be 75/49 damage without or without a silencer. All a silencer does is cause the range to drop off sooner. The low end will always be 49 and a 3 hit kill no matter what attachment you use.

Focus + Red Dot OR Focus + Suppressor. Since precision aiming is required, Focus Profiency will assist you in keeping your ret on the target and landing shots if they get a shot on you before you kill them. This works very well for me. I was a attahments guy with Red Dot + Suppressor or Red Dot + Rapid Fire.

@Transpacity To add to that, I usually run Marksman with the class and a lot of my kills are longshots so I guess I might be noticing it a lot due to the higher fall-off...for midrange combat the silencer should be fine I'm guessing.

@Transpacity The silencer doesn't reduce the damage at all. The gun still does 75/49. It just causes the damage to drop off toward 49 at a shorter range. If most of your kills are long range that's even more of a reason to use the silencer. It's 3 bullets at long range no matter what. I actually just uploaded a FFA using it with the silencer if you want to see how it performs.

MK14 is the most underrated weapon in mw3 in my opinion. Only thing that is bad about MK14 is the hip fire. As long as you aim down the sight no matter how close the target is, you're good to go. My recommendation for this gun is attachments proficiency with red dot and silencer. It worked very well for me

I have been using the mk14 a lot and noticed the the under barrel shotgun attachment adds more recoil, or at least significantly more visual recoil compared to the standard iron sight recoil of this gun. Have you noticed this at all? I am not sure if the recoil changes with and under barrel and red dot, have only noticed with iron sights.

this is my favorite gun in mw3, i like to use the hybrid scope for long distance kills would you recommend using rapid fire for this in the 3 shot range or does it not make that much of a difference...great video btw

@mf0824 Rapid fire would probably help more at close range when you really have to get off two shot super fast. Long distance you have to be more precise so you probably wouldn't be shooting fast enough to hit the fire rate cap anyway.

@Amarestudimire Type95 mid to close range, MK14 mid to long. There's a little overlap in the mid range when the Type96 drops to a 3 bullet kill. After it starts taking 2 bursts the MK14 is the better option.

@ilovecacti Yeah I am planning on it. I have around 600 kills with on my account I use for testing weapons so I am starting to figure it out. I have had the most luck using it with kick and a suppressor thus far. Actually it's very good with that setup.

Good stuff, can't wait to try the gun. For the ROF stuff, probably better to cut out the pistol stuff, why have it right? And also, only one clip, drags on watching you empty 3 clips, twice. Could time how long takes to empty 1 clip each time and compare those to give another layer to it.

@MassNERDerer Like I said in the video the pistols are in there just to show what it sounds like without a fire rate cap (the shots are all consistent and come out faster). I did the entire clip with the MK14's to show the difference in time it takes to use all the ammo and because the fire rate caps makes the shots so erratic that you could literally have one clip that shoots flawlessly and the next has pauses all through it.
