the ps1 version. the music was totally crap. sprites were WAY too blocky. it also felt too loose and not "strider type" controls.

i bought it from funcoland in the 90s. the game was awful although i did like strider's graphics. the gameplay stunk it up. i couldn't play it for more than a few minutes.

but the game was awsome. not as perfect as the first, but it was a great sequal.... unlike the genesis version that sucked complete balls. definitley prefer the ps1 version.

What version is this? I'm playing it on SNK Classics collection on PS2, and it's quite a bit harder then the sugarcoated version this guy is playing.

8:00 mark, on that climb up 3 robot things fly up and knock you off. Where are they? They're what makes that part of the game so insanely difficult(outright impossible from my experiences thus far).

Strider is voiced in Japanese, Mandarin Chinese, Russian and english ! Great for a coin op game from 1989 :D !

Whoever said the Genesis was arcade perfect, smoking crack, the arcade showed so much stuff such as missing voice effects, parallel effects, colors and animatioN!

For the time, Genesis had the best conversion standard of Arcade to Console, barnone. That was Strider. The arcade version is of course better and features a lot of subtle effects and incidentals not included in the Genesis version. But their have been FAR FAR worse arcade to console translations... and you know it!

Very true, I feel the Genesis was ahead of its time at the time, I have this game on the Genesis still and play it still. I would have to say this was the best made, but the cover has a white guy on it with blond hair.
