I've never played LOTRO but I would love to play it, can anyone give me a brief description of what you can do on it?

@TheSouljaProductions Basically you are a either a prison broken out by strider (As a human) or captured by brigands and then freed by strider (As a hobbit), you are part of the incident with the Dourhand Dwarf Lord Skorgrim (as a elf or dwarf). You aid the people of Middle Earth against Sauron's evil plot to dominate middle earth, and aid the Fellowship of the Ring destroy the One Ring to ultimately stop Sauron's plot.

@TheSouljaProductions If you don't know the actual story of Lord of the Rings, go read the book. The game is like, imagine yourself in the story helping Middle Earth fight against Sauron and aiding the Fellowship of the Ring. But yet you are not mentioned the slightest.

hell the achievements have rewards point you can spend in the item shop to unlock stuff

in game and there not you have killed first enemy or you have completed you first quest achievements crap most game have now

the story is not boring to me like wow's or not all over the place like runescape's

@davidwie Moria looks nothing like what the book and movie described, in the movie it was this old and jagged rock carved city that looks really dangerous to go through. But in LOTRO it looks the fucking City of Ironforge.

Very good game,but there is only one problem.If you don't pay to be VIP member,I mean if you play as a free member,you play the DEMO (not literarly). I mean,no all classes,no all quest zones,no max lvl cap and that stuff...So,is there any change made on this question,or not? peace :)

Awesome game, sucky GM's. If they weren't as vigilant as they are, I'd still be there. Not that I was kicked, I just didn't want to keep working on a character that could get banned if I had told someone to "fuck off".. Which isn't entirely unlikely in an MMO.

@elfmann243 what do you mean? i kinda think it's fun they made it free to play :D it's not really restricted, since you can earn the "Turbine Points" by doing deeds. It's fun grinding since you get seomthing in return finally :D

@Centration Just me personally but i just think if you want to be competetive and stand out in the large MMO market you need to pay by month otherwise you get lost in the many F2P MMO's just means LOTRO fades into the crowd a little. Again just my opinon, though i am aware a few F2P games like Runescape do well for themselfs but the others... they just get lost in the crowd.

@rayqildor Sauron made the rings for Men/Dwarves and forged the One Ring in secret to dominate the others. The Elvish rings are related but kind of a different thing. The men succumbed instantly, the Dwarves resisted domination, and the Elves just did what they do.

I loved the trial! It have been 'enslaved', because every time I hear the 'Concerning Hobbits' theme, I have to think about my Elf walking through the Shire. I still remember the scene. I just installed the trial and I had made my character. In the first 'real' village of the elves, a dwarf gave me a lot of money, told me I had to follow him to Bree. And I followed him. And then the magic moment. Elf and Dwarf, walking into the sunset as friends, with Concerning Hobbits playing in the background
