I'm sick of people. This was demo'd in Japan/Korea years ago and was cancelled. Now I hear it's coming back. I swear, this is going to crash and burn once again and disappoint several fans. Although my favourite of the series was the DC one (2 I think).
Ive heard nothing about this game untill just now, can anyone give me a quick summary of whats going on? Same music as grandia 1, got my hopes up for a remake for a sec there
Well, just to bring some hope to ya guys who think it was canceled, Gungho is hosting some conference thing for it and letting some 60 people play the game on May 20, 2009 in Japan. If you want some more info or proof, go to Gungho's Japanese site and they have some info there, if you can read it. (Translation works alright...)

Gung-Ho sold Grandia Online, which they renamed Grandia Zero, to some Game Revolution company. It was supposed to have been released in September 2006. We've had next to no news on it since then :(
I still have Grandia to play through, but that won't last forever like an MMO does :(
i agree i love the grandia series but they've been making this game for 3 years i know it takes long to make an mmorpg but they were supposed to release a BETA for it in 2006 but they pushed the date back so much it never came i really hope it'll compe out soon no where has any news on it not even game arts
If you, or anyone else wants to talk to other Grandia fans, just type Grandia in Google and the third result should be for a 'The Vast Lands of Grandia'. It's an awesome fansite with some active members, some nice forums and also some fan work and projects going on every now and then :)
i wonder if this will hapen. i love the grandia game series. it would be awesome online. if they do this, i hope the keep the awesome grandia battle system (is there even a name for it). and i hope for the battle music u can use the songs from the previous grandia games. it would be perfect.

Fuck I would hate if this came out, MMO's always suck. I don't think they could put the turn based battles into it very well. I miss Grandia 2 on the Dreamcast.
you know the battle system of the normal playstation 1 and 2 grandia's the special turn based system, thats what made grandia unique i think, so i wonder what they'll do with this games battle system.

Grandia Online will have the same Art animation as the First one. Anyways, that wont be making this game suck. Its cool and i choose it over Final fantasy !
If this game is ever released (apparently there are rumours that it has been cancelled) I will buy it purely for the fact that it seems to be using the original soundtrack. BEST GAME SOUNDTRACK EVER.

2 was on both the PS2 and the DC. two was my favorite game play wise, but grandia 1 had better characters / story. But that's just my opinion.

Grandia 1 had classic graphics but the game was actually BIG! and Bigger than grandia 2 and had a deeper story. Grandia means BIG.

Hi, there was just news of the game.
Grandia was released on the japanese ps3 network to hype Grandia Online.
Though honestly, I would of preferred a Grandia remake :(
