i very much doubt william holden would have gone straight from "bridge on the river kwai" to this, unless his agent had suddenly gone completely hatstand!
(see what you mean, though, the bloke does look a bit like him)
Dear Norris, you're certainly correct, and I definitely got my dates wrong. It's highly unlikely that W.H. would have been in this film. But it certainly was fun thinking that it could have been him (rather on a par with Robert Duval, who played Boo Radley in "To Kill a Mockingbird". He went on to such great acting acheivements, that he winced when anyone mentioned that role)!
Thanks for your response and may we all enjoy the "so awful they're funny" classics. Carrie :>
@Tareltonlives Funny side-note... the "Monster" is only original in part. Mr. Corman actually recycle the costum from Night of the Blood Beast. (An earlier shlock film!) Even though it was badly damaged during filming. I guess he thought the damage gave it character! Never saw the Mistie version... bet its a Hoot!
@dukes0916 Yeah, that's definitely the same costume. I've seen both films. The MST edition is one of my favorites
"He's inventing swimming!" "Looks like he's inventing drowning"

Cavemen speaking English. No difference than any other historical drama (ancient Romans, ancient Greeks, WW2 Germans). Now how aliens on all those sci-fi films knew English, that's another thing.
even back then ....BLONDES!!!yes!!!!nice job fightin that job too, dont it know how to bite?or wuz it just fukin around and they 4got to tell vaughn?ahahhaah
it actually takes place in the future

cheers, carrie!
i didn't know robert duval was embarrassed about having played boo radley- he needn't have been, i thought he was great!
and i agree, this film stands among the immortals- long live the Teenage Caveman from Uncle (the last survivor of "the magnificent seven")!

A pretty good drive in movie of the day...dialogue good in places...good twist at the end.

The MST3k version is great.
Robert Vaughn is personally ashamed of this film. I don't blame him.
All the dinosaurs are from One Million BC. The only original stuff is the dog and the "monster".
Watch One Million Years BC instead.

For a bunch of teenage cavemen, they must've discovered the marvels of Brylcreem even way back then

This is the classic 1950s and 1960s voice-over guy on the trailer narration too. Gotta love it. "Superama?" More like "Sufferama."

See footage lifted from Irwin Allens Lost World.
See hoe deceptive this promotion is.There not really Cavemen-certainly not of our past.
