I still play and re-play this game, I never get bored of it, it is so much fun. The mighty Congar is my favorite, I really like the second costume, looks like a yeti. It makes me feel so good when I stomp my friend in War of the Monsters after he owns me on Smackdown vs Raw. I wish they released this for the next gen consoles, I would love a sequel, but the game is just so much fun that I wouldn't mind re-playing it for the next gen, online battles would be great.

This game was so awesome! I wish they make a sequel or at least a remake with online features my favorite monster was some badass dragon that can fly for long periods like for 3 min or more if you know how to control him I forgot his name but he's the only flying dragon.

THIS GAME RULED!! The sheer destruction alone was worth the price of admission!! It's like all my giant robot/ monster fantasies come to life! SOOOO cool you picked Ultra-V as your character for this game sample! He was my favorite too! A copy of this game would run you 60 dollars USED in Dallas, but where I live now I picked it up a month ago for 8 bucks!! Thanks for posting!

@Nixielang7 I used to play this so much when I was little. I remember playing free for all for like hours litterally in one level (my fave being the one you fight congar in) I played it until every building was destroyed from constant fighting XD

Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee was decent, but War of the Monsters actually does it better. The controls are fluid and everything is destructible thanks to the Twisted Metal: Black engine.

@alvieao2 But this game looks like a game for kids that crap that shit their pants every 2 seconds. If you are going to make a giant monster game, make one that has blood and gore. This game does not have that.

@alvieao2 Gonna have to disagree on that one. Destroy All Monsters had plenty of destruction going on, the graphics were better, and besides that....dude, it's Godzilla. And if you really want to go that route, then Godzilla Unleashed (on Wii) was better than both of them, by virtue of the fact that it had a lot more stuff, AND the environments were pretty much entirely destructible. War of the Monsters is a good game. But Godzilla is king.

War of the Monsters is a fun fighting game developed by Incognito, formed by ex-Singletrac members who made the first two games in both the Twisted Metal and Jet Moto series. In fact, Sweet tooth from Twisted Metal is hidden in the game if you have a saved file of TM: Black. The game was published in Japan by Capcom, under the name Kaiju Daigekisen.
