I find the chipmunk voice great. The acceleration helps keep things moving in what is otherwise a pretty slow game from an observers stand point and it adds to the humour, at least for me.
At one point you said "(some guy) is doing pretty well with a rifle, I think I'll keep them on it." Is accuracy not a global modifier? Do they actually gain individual weapon proficiencies?
@HotaruZoku Nah, they don't. I kinda wish they did, but it won't. The main issue with X-COM is that when you find something that works by accident, you don't ever change it, even if your life depends on it. Paranoia is like that.
totally downloaded this off Steam, FYI if u blow up their engine u dont get elerium... altho im sure u figured that out later on in this video... -_-.
Games awesome btw, total blast from my past, i remmember when i was a kid getting my ass handed to me :(
Ethereals do fly, I'm afraid...and what version are you playing? I play the DOS version and the sounds are a bit different. Not just when you chipmunk it but in your other videos as well. Also on the DOS version Superhuman would reset to Beginner after the first mission due to a bug so I'm assuming this is the Amiga version?
I'm using the X-COM: Collector's Edition version that runs off of a Windows 95 executable - it was released after MicroProse got purchased by Hasbro, and it possesses the latest of DOS patches, which horrifically corrupted the audio.
The Amiga version had 3.5" floppy swapping, and a lot of it. The visuals were inferior, but the audio was vastly improved in a few areas, i.e. "Intercepting UFO" music.
Here's a link to a little bit of playing on the Amiga version (it's on an emulator):
i have the same 1 the game ps i made u 1 of them and necro and kiko it was halaryes necro killed you then kiko was under alian control and killed necro and i killed kiko lol
That little girl scream when the alien shoots down the kamikaze and "Die! muhahahaha" :D Don't know why, but it made laugh :D

Did the aliens ALREADY figure you out. Or do they think Antarctica has a population rivaling New York...
Sylasha 2 years ago
The aliens are programmed to have a particularly high chance of showing up near your first base, no matter where it is, during the first month...

I figured that out really quickly... I had no clue what I was doing when I started and got wiped out on normal within the first couple days.

It's Lord Finisher, our Lord and Master! He is the next Foamy.

Good luck getting Jonathan Ian Mathers to agree to it - I'm pretty certain he enjoys doing Foamy.
