most of ur stuff is unbelievable, but this is probably one of your lower quality things, if just because of the low quality texture that you scaled up too much and the duck and plane compositing. Other than that, it looks almost perfect.
@TheFXGuy Thanks again. Yes, the last image was very low res :-( I might have a nice solution for a future update though - using a full 3D city environment. I'll not only be able to zoom into ground level without loss of quality, but I can continue to pan, tilt, zoom etc once I get there. Could make an interesting sequence - if I ever get the time to do it.
I think you should make the PlanetMirth logo on the bottom of a rooftop pool in the beginning. It would lend to the diffusion effect, and seem more realistic.
I'm sure one could spend a lifetime getting everything perfect. The world, nature, is not easy to imitate. That's why a lot of artists prefer to use a more cartoon-like animation type to cover their mistakes up. Good job, m8. Ambitious.
I think the motion blur would've helped any blending issues with the moving elements (plane, birds, etc) and perhaps some easy-ease for the motion would've looked nice :)
Thanks for the comment. It looks like I might have to do a similar effect in another project, so I'll definitely experiment with motion blur and keyframes as suggested.
Finally created a new, and hopefully improved version of my PlanetmirthEarthZoom
I added a few cars that no-one - except possibly GmuesFilm will see ;-)
I've substituted a helicopter for the glider and a new Jet with the correct perspective. I've also tried to improve the timings so that they appear at better intervals.
The only other change was to remove the motion blur - not sure if that was a good idea or not. Let me know what you think.
where did u source the images to make this??

@tardiselliot Google Earth for the closeups - it required a lot of stitching together and NASA for the higher altitude shots.

For an intro/ad tho it's freakin' amazing!
It needs music/sound.

Thanks ShogaNinja.
I'm not sure anyone would be believe a rooftop pool in Belfast though ;-)
I agree that music would help a lot.

Cheers gmüs. I knew you'd spot the cars. You must have a really good monitor (and eyes).
Re. the birds! DOH! Does that mean I have to do a version 3!!?? Can we just pretend they're a rare breed of "Sidewinder" Duck? ;o)
Thanks again for taking an interest.
