  • i am looking into a t500 from milehi but i read that i should stay away from turbo yeast because if you get any particals at all in your boiler the ethanol will tast like dog piss....is this true ????

  • Thanx mate feeling a bit more confident to do my own now!! Cheera

  • ive purchased a mr distiller, and tripple distilled tirbo yeast, i follwed all the directions, its been going 3 days now, it does smell like a brewery but it doesnt have a foam head like the video is it because your using 48 hr yeast or because i dont have a vaccum break or did i do something wrong

  • How can you make the proof of the alchol up to real moonshine proof? less copper?

  • where did you get your bucket?

  • Top man. Getting my first brew going. Your video sure gave me confidence.

A mad artist from little wales

  • excellent and simple. thanks.

  • Since you're making sugar shine, you could use your hydrometer to measure the sugar water first before adding the yeast, then as the fermentation progresses you could sample it again and do the math to determine how much alcohol percentage is in the solution. You'll know when it's done optimally then and not be wasting either time or materials to get the most alky from your run. Just a thought.

  • @penztoy if the rum burns its more than 100 proof when it doesnt burn then ill drink it i just dilute my rum after it is distilled

  • i wish i would have seen your video before i made the mash the first time! i didnt take the cap off the air lock and the house smelled like bread and there was a huge mess around the container!

  • thanks very helpful

  • I got one of your stills. It is one of the EASIEST units to work with! Craftsmanship is OUTSTANDING! Turbo yeast works great...so SIMPLE! Still also works great with other recipes. I did have to call on a question, I was impressed that Mike (the guy in the video) answered the phone. I will continue ordering as long as you guys keep up the great service!

    Thanks,

    Harry

  • Nice video!!!! But if you only get a gallon or two of fuel out of 17 lbs of sugar. looks like it would be better to just buy gas. Or am I missing something here?

  • Nice video!!!!

  • When and where do you use carbon?

  • Great for diabetics!

  • This guy is awesome.

  • i got a couple of questions

i bought a bag of turbo yeast power

how much of that do i have to use in a bucket of 26 lts

how many lts of alchol will this bucket due

  • Enjoyed your video, thanks for sharing.

  • Can you stack this product?

  • Why did you ad so much yeast? Does'nt it replicate rather fast?

  • That is some highly active yeast. Very informative video. Thanks for posting

  • He's not making whiskey or white lightning here people. He's making ethyl alcohol for fuel only because that's what his license gives him permission to do. You can switch out the ingredients and make whatever you like, but it's illegal to make distilled spirits for human consumption in the USA unless you have the correct license and pay taxes to the government. There are all kinds of recipes for moonshine and whiskey on the Internet.

  • an if you guys didnt watch the other video he has a licence to make the shit soo he knows what hes doing

  • Ps. These other people leaving feedback are idiots! Boil before drinking?! Skim off the foam!?!? I've got an idea for you, look up anaerobic fermentation and give the guy a break. Come to terms with your stupidity and shut up or educate yourself before offering your inbred feedback.

Pps. 1 gallon of 95% etoh from a 20L 18-20% solution seems like an unbelievable yield of an azeotropic distillation... I mean that's really pushing theoretical limits eh. But its possible and got me sold on a mile h

  • Good info! I like what you'll doing. I was surprised that the yeast doesn't need aerobic activation time. Looks like a wicked strong strain, I'll be ordering. Keep up the good work eh!

  • you need to boil it before you drink after fermentation !!!!!!!! sanitizing is very important for safety, hydrometer could help

  • No experience with alcohol, as of yet. So, ,,, did I get that right? You go through all that time, expenditure, and effort, to produce 1 gallon of 92+%?

    Is that right?

Looks like you've spent more on sugar, alone, --- not counting your equipment, yeast, & electric bill, than what the gallon of alcohol is worth.

  • Why so much yeast??? You could make that bag of yeast last a year. Yeast multiplies almost instantly right? And it keeps duplicating itself so really you can start off with just a little yeast and it will work the same right?

  • Great Video. Thanks alot.

  • 95% or 190 proof is too hot for running in an engine. 170 proof max.

  • now is that foam good for it, or should i skim it off

  • Very informative. I have exactly this type going right now.

  • most excelent

  • sweet

  • I would like to see how you distill it to see how you make the Wishkey

  • very helpful video thanks i learned a few things from watching you.

  • thanks ++++++

  • i love ur video it was really good

  • I'm looking forward to receiving my complete starter kit in the mail! I'm going to use spring water or filtered water though as our tap water is horrible!

  • I have been under the impression that the water that you use to make the mash needs to be distilled water as most "city water" contains chlorine which will kill the yeast. Is this not correct.

Also ..... would you happen to have a procedure for preparing a corn mash for use in the 8 gallon distiller? thanx!

  • With the 23% Alcobase there is a Liquid Charcoal, what do you do with that?

  • Awesome!!

  • Very informative- Thanks for posting. I currently homebrew beer and wine- looking into stepping up

  • "Fermentology" that's funny.

  • @DrMotorDude

    fermentology

a science that deals with ferments and fermentation, especially those concerned with the production of alcoholic beverages. — fermentologist, n.

  • @buggrs I pretty much know nothing about making moonshine but I would l ove to start

could you give me a list of all the stuff i would need to make moonshine?

  • Positive feedback. lol

  • Great demonstration. Lots of useful info.

    ... and I can't believe he's not a professional actor. Very talented!

  • when cooking that do u have to discard the first little bit of it becasue of methanol if so how much

  • If using a fractional still, the first 5ML per LITER

if using a POT still the first 20ML per LITER.

  • @The97tj about a shot glass full, its in his mr. distiller video

  • @The97tj methanol comes from the yeast fermenting pectin. There are pretty high amounts of pectin in fruits especially oranges, apples grapes and alot of other fruits. That's why cider gives you such a bad hangover. The only way you'll ever die or go blind from methanol is if you do it on purpose. Don't even worry about it at all especially in batches with no pectin like rum and beers

  • why no corn meal or malt?

  • Very helpful thanks. Have just bought a reflux still and am yet to fire it up. Have read about how to do this but was good to see it being done.

Gonna check out your other vids now.

    Cheers

  • awesome work! Keep it up!!

  • helpful thanks hope you make more vids

  • I recently bought one of their stills and some of the 24 hour turbo yeast and it works like a dream!

  • Im a homebrewer and we always have to be aware of sanitation. I have noticed that I haven't seen any type of sanitation in your videos or its just not part of your videos but are you sanitizing off camera or are you just not worried about it?

  • I wash the bucket with soapy water thats about it. Its going to be distilled so Im not to worried about it.

  • Yes. This was definitely useful.

  • That would make one hell of a batch of koolaid!
