  • sex should now be called the birds and the beetles

  • How do you do this? seriously asking, I'd like to do this.

  • Great job here!

  • the byrds !

  • Beatles looked better with the neato suits and ties. Certainly the 13 year old girls preferred the Beatles. But the Byrds were better musicians.

  • @mikedonn71

    ´xDDD

grwat jopke, you know, the byrds drummer walked out because the rythms were too much for him, the bass player was absolute average, only mcquinn had real instrumental talent.

but george still is much better, he had so many different sounds, roger only had his 12 string, which george had before him.

  • beautiful blend by mashup artist, CCC.

  • pretty

  • Comment removed

  • Makes you wish George played more Rickenbacker.

  • Ooooo, I think this is pretty cool. :D I would never have thought to put these songs together, but the result is great to listen to. Nice work!

  • The Beatles were AWFUL. Even Lennon and Harrison admitted that the praise was ridiculously overblown. Any other band that put out albums like theirs would have been considered garbage.

  • @rtghffdfdg by awful you mean awesome!

  • @HaWkBeAtLeSnElSoN That's whay my father--a BIG Beatles fan--was always telling me. A song or two of theirs might have made the grade, but on the whole, I wasn't impressed. IMAGE...that's what it was...image.

  • @rtghffdfdg

    shut the fuck up asshole.

they're the greatest, you know it, you don#t don't like it, you bitch around.

  • @OropherThranduil Why don't you make me, dip shit? Huh? Come on. Shut me up, faggot!

  • @rtghffdfdg

i would do the john lennon to you.

you know, lemmy told that story, when once he was at the cavern, a guy talked shit about lennon being gay, lennon stripped down his ricky, went offstage and punched the guy to the ground with a single solid blow, costing him 2 teeth.

  • @OropherThranduil Give it your best shot, boy. You know, he got worse back to him in 1980. BY THE WAY, John Lennon sang "All You Need is Love." It sounds to me like you're telling Lennon to F*** off!

  • @rtghffdfdg

No, for sure he sang it, but just because you sang that in 1967 doesn't mean you can't have a mean punch in your wild days, there are also some quite interesting hamburg storys, so much for the choir boy image and people thinking the stones were more badass.

The Stones badassness was all image, just like the beatles overniceness.

and i'm not trelling john to fuck off, he was human after all, so why shouldn#t he have his errors.

  • @rtghffdfdg I do think that a lot of the Beatles' songs are overplayed to this day, but admittedly I'm a pretty hardcore fan. They really didn't have a lot of control over the commercialization of their work, which is unfortunate. But there's no denying that they've inspired many, many other groups over the years.

  • @SaulespukuMeitene Yeah, I don't doubt it. They hugely inspired the Byrds too (and even received some inspiration back from the Byrds). I would submit, though, that because of the emotional attachment to the Beatles, their popularity among teens, and the image they conveyed, they got a lot of free passes with some pretty bad songs and albums. Anyone who personally likes Sgt. Pepper's, fine, but I can think of many albums from around that time period that were much more impressive.

  • @DanGaryTwins

they never got one free pass, they're the most analyzied abnd in msuic history, but still regarded as the alltime greatest of them all.

    that speaks volumes for itself.

  • The Byrds song was a few months before The Beatles one wasn't it? It was The Byrds who invented folk rock (country rock), not The Beatles and I say that as a Brit. In fact ,The Beatles never really did a good country song.

  • @Picnicl

    What goes on is awesome.

and i guess they neevr venutured much into that direction because ringo was the only one who really liked country, hence octopuss's garden (awesome too).

  • @OropherThranduil Yes, What goes on is good. And Blackbird could be regarded as a country song because of the theme.

  • @Picnicl

well, i don't know how many country sonfs in the 60s dealed with the black people's struggle in the southern states, and i think it's a pretty classic folk song, just like Mother Natures Son.

  • This is clever.

  • ooooooohhh... yes.

  • The Beatles obviamente

  • another cool mash!! both songs work well with each other. Melodies are almost the same!

  • That's pretty cool. Bizarre, but cool. Try morphing My Sweet Lord with He's so Fine. or how about Lucy in the Sky with Judy in Disguise. - that would be very interesting.

  • Nice job!

  • beatles are amazing obvs but the 12 string And harmonies in the byrds are Emotional

  • Beatles forever♥

  • BEATLES FOREVER♥

  • The Byrds all the way baaabbbby! :D

  • this great!! one of the best mashes so far!

    The Beatles!

    The Byrds!

  • This is horrible. Both songs are completely incompatible with each other. The Byrds' guitars are annoying in this joke of a mash-up. Horrid job!

  • @MikeMeldan Sorry but I disagree. The guitars work together surprisingly well. And since McGuinn was deeplu influenced by Harrison and then George returned the influence -- this works. Sorry you don't hear it.

  • Great! It clearly shows the musical inspiration for the Nowhere Man.

  • interesting mix...well done

  • This is awesome! You made a third song from two and it's actually very listenable. You added your own touch as well, good work.

  • This, and many other great tracks will be on The Peter Madison Show - on Atlantic Radio - this Sunday, 1200-1400z UTC!

  • creepy yet cool....

  • not much of a video - but quite the musical edit!!!

  • Excelente, dos temazos de los sesenta juntos, gran trabajo :)

  • this would sound better if i were high. but good job never the less

  • the byrds the best!

  • neat

  • pretty good. i would have never thought of that.

  • Spectacular ..I loved them both and both left way too soon

  • Well done...proper mash up...thanks for posting... : )

  • Se escucha bastante bien =D

le da un buen toque a nowherman, solo qe la guitarra esta un poco alta y hay partes donde no se reconoce bien la voz de lennon, aun asi es genial =D

  • Not too bad. Not as good as "Paperback Believer", but still good.

  • Never heard of them

  • Really nice

    Best wishes Wim vd Pol

  • this is really good!!!

  • Songs about boy who meets girl and the focus on fashion is what music buzz wanted. This crashed with the hipster revolution. I can sing in the same mood "For what is worth" than "Norwegian Wood". Even The Beatles changed the themes of their songs.

  • Oh Shama...¿ Do ya really think that anything of all of this will happen if The Byrds, Buffalo Springfield, Ken Kesey...? What´s the message of a Hard day´s night? No one. And of Turn, Turn, Turn? Read about George Harrison, pleas.

  • Incredible job on the mix! The isolated elements of Nowhere Man syncopate beautufully w/ the McGuinn guitar solo. The Byrdles mebbe?

  • George Harrison allways said that it was The Byrds who influenced The Beatles. Sorry for the british but american music is so much better.

  • George Harrison NEVER EVER said ANYTHING of the KIND - You Useless Fukn ARSEHOLE!!!! Bot h Roger McQuin and DAvid Crosby said the Biggest Influence in their lives was the Beatles movie A Hard Days Night !!!! Bring It On Piece of SHIT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @cozmicfolkfan I don't know if he did say that but George was probably being humble. Even McGuinn admitted the reason why he went out and brought matching suits and a rickenbacker was because of the Beatles. and as for American music being better? Silly statement! Without American 60s R&B some of the great brit bands wouldnt have started, without those brit bands music would have been dead. Did you not hear about the British invasion in the 60s?........

  • Spanish caps more than matching suits. Matching suits were wored by american music groups too before Beatles. What I try to say is that hipster counterculture, the beatniks, influenced first the Beatles, and that rock+folk+protest was the equation of Haight Ashbury Movement, and focusing on it Byrds are more determinant than Beatles. Byrds changed Dylan too.

  • The Byrds much better.

  • yeah. if your in OPPOSITE LAND!!

  • The tempos are perfect, but the bridges are a bit problematic. "A Time To Be Born, A Time To Die" consists of two major chords and "Nowhere Man, Don't Worry, Take Your Time Don't Hurry" consists of two minor chords, but I guess there's no way of getting around that. Not so coincidentally, the Byrd's "Turn Turn Turn" album and the Beatles' "Rubber Soul" were both released in December of 1965.

  • Sounds great. Remember that Roger McGuinn bought his first Rick 12 after hearing George playing one on a Beatles record.

  • Isn't it wonderful, the things we could get away with doing with computers these days. Just imagine how this would have sounded if done with a couple of 331/3 rd

players! Good job, rather cleverly envisioned!

  • Brillian. It's not as though Lennon ripped off McGuinn, but The Beatles listened to a lot of Byrds in 1965 and you tend to write in the general idiom you admire. This is why the Rolling Stones sounded more like The Beatles than the other way around, at least during 1966-67.

  • Great!

  • Fuck you! You gotta be kidding.

  • Pretty good!!

  • I wondered why you didn't combine the guitar lead breaks together. Must have been too clashing.

  • the beatles!

  • Insanity

  • Pretty Good. I've spent hundreds of hours in radio station production studios doing a many radio commercials...and this I must say is pretty good. You even hit all the posts with the vocals..not bad..I'll save it! :-)

  • Ha... Normally, I can't stand this sort of thing, but this is pretty cool.

  • nice concept MCRmauricio

you really pulled this off quite

    well.

  • Really interesting!

  • This is one of the most beautiful-sounding mashups I've ever encountered -- excellent job!

  • wow how the hell did you ever accmplish this this is grate!!! 2 of my fav songs in one dude you rock im down loading this and puting this on cd hey check out you silly doggie on youtube its a song i wrote sung by the orginal crazy dave

  • Ranks alongside the 'Paperback Believer' one. Well done.

  • Awesome.

  • Very interesting mix. Really well done!

  • This is just fuckin' brilliant mate.Well done

  • its really gooooooooooooooooood!!!

  • great mash up

  • muy buena cancion, excelente, la eh agregado a mis favoritos!!!!!!

  • I love it!

  • Please relay this suggestion to CCC:

A mash-up of "And Your Bird Can Sing" by the Beatles and "Hey Tonight" by Creedence Clearwater Revival.

  • By thunder---this actually works!

  • It's pretty good, the key is just off a little in a few parts. Other than that, perfect.

  • One of the best mash-ups ever! Nice job.

  • Excellant...!!!

  • I'd never think that these two songs can cling together so well! Both rhytmically and melodically. Although there are some moments in the transitions where you can tell it couldn't be one song.. interesting though. I think John wouldn't mind such a jam at that time :)

  • Comment removed

  • nowhere to turn sounds cool

but i think turn to nowhere sounds cooler

  • Very good .

  • this was awesome

  • Great work! Beautiful...I'd like to hear the byrds singing in it too

  • Awesome work!! thanks for posting such beautiful vid's like this one!!

  • Great work!

  • This is F******gn brilliant. I love the beautiful ricky sound amd the blend o0f the beatles, byrds and dylan.

  • Whoever it was that suggested 'And Your Byrd Can Sing' - I bow down in gratitude!

Please get in touch when I'm struggling for titles on my White Album project.

Best - and thanks for the interest.

    ccc

  • very creative!!!

  • I love the Beatles and dig the Byrds too. This is pure magic.

God bless John Lennon Roger McGuinn and whoever put this together.

    Hippy with attitude.

  • The best mash up I've heard.

  • Wow what a nice blend to put together here, may I ask what programs or programs were used in your creating this mix, perfect I must say, totally surprised me when I heard this mix, very find piece of work. ^5

  • You might be able to find the information you're looking for, in the video description, for I am not the maker, just the uploader

    Cheers :)

  • Well its nice to know your Byrd can sing, anyway! All Peace, More Love!

  • Gran montaje!! Gracias por el homenaje a los dos mejores grupos de los ´60 ;-)

  • Gracias por el commentario positivo! Es lo que se necesita en este lugar, jaja.

  • Impressive... :)

  • This is one of my favorite videos ever!Thank you so much!

  • Thanks for the comment :)

  • wow, that's amazing!

  • Really good man. I like it.

Can you do a reverse, with beatle as background and byrds sing?

  • Haha, I wish I could, but i do not make these videos

  • I don't this would be possible, because I've never heard a freely available recording of 'just' the byrds vocals for tambourine man. Even the backing for this track mostly comes from looping the vocal less guitar solo part in tambourine man.

  • Very clever and very well put together ! Now can you match the Chiffons "He's so fine" with George Harrison's "Something" ? Despite George being fined a fortune I still cannot see the similarity between the songs.

  • Sorry, not Something but My Sweet Lord. Question was rhetorical as I note you don't do match ups, just a question that has nagged me for years.

  • do u do requests for mash-ups?

  • I don't do mash-ups at all buddy.

  • then what is this?

  • Read the video description, everything you need to know is there.

  • This is really, really interesting stuff. Rubber Soul was the Beatles' folkiest album but Pet Sounds and Younger than Yesterday wouldn't have existed without it - everything from McCartney's bass to the percussion to the variety of the songs was picked up. This mash up shows just how much the Byrds moved the Beatles along. I never really thought that Gene Clark's songwriting might have influenced Lennon.

  • I couldn't agree more!

    Thanks for commenting :)

  • wew. i cant believe it match. genius...

  • Thanks for the comment :)

  • Very cool! :)

  • Thank you!

and I bet it took the maker a while!!
