Dude I love this guitar and have no problem with peavey at all, I just cannot believe fender did custom shops of various artist's that imo are not any where near Jerry's caliber and the dent he made in music. Peavey rules, I don't care if it has your name on it autodane if it plays and feels well.
Fender had released 2 different Jerry Donahue Teles in the past: a Jerry Donahue signature model and a lower-priced JD model, both were made in the early to mid '90s. I demoed them both at Guitar Center Sherman Oaks back-in-the-day. Great guitars, but not made for too many years.
Did Fender just not offer a JD custom shop tele or did they do something to piss of jerry?, I cannot seem him not playing his fender teles, Peavey looks real nice and I would love one but come on JD and a fender tele are like bread/butter
Whats wrong with peavey guitars??? They make some good amps and basses. Fender is many years ahead of them. Give a them a chance! They atleast put some duncans in there.

i would assume it would be hard to get a custom from gibson or fender. no matter how big you are

They're about $1600, too high for me. But no doubt great quality.
