    I have never cut up a chicken before and was a bit dawnted at the task, but after seeing this vid clip had no problem doing it.

  • you did a good job but you holding knife cut with thigh backwards. Watch my video. there are many ways, but I can cut up a case of chickens in less than 3 minutes, so I thought a NYC butcher could give you a hint or two, but great job.

  • @Mr Peter .... 10 pieces is the same as 8ths, but you cut each half breast again.

  • When you cut the legs off, the bone should have the white ball on it....fail

  • Man, you take forever to cut that bird up. In additon, you should never hold the knife and cut backwards!

  • Thanks for the great video. I have heard recipes call for chicken cut up into quarters (4 pieces) and eigths (8 pieces). I have also heard of chicken recipes call for a chicken to be cut up into ten pieces. Can someone tell me what are the two pieces of the chicken that I'm missing? Thanks a lot.

  • @cha0tic -- I think what you are hearing is him cutting thru the wishbone. and that's a small easily broken bone.
