  • a new mac and a new toneport? Someone is clearly spoilt

  • what about when you playing a song and you want to switch between effects during the song ? do you have any suggestions?

  • Through which output would you connect it to your Mac?

  • hey i have been using my Ux2 on a windows desktop, but i want to buy a mac book pro soon and get pro tools for it. Will my Ux2 still work for that? or do i need some other device for it?

  • @crazycatproductions1 for mac's AND windows. both. great product.

  • i hate the sound of plastic when you unboxing x(

  • can i use podfarm with this device? (the one with red cover not black)

  • You can afford a mac but you can't afford a decent ipod? tsk tsk. jkdonthateme.

  • ▋▋84.817 Tones POD XT LIVE line6 2.0 Pocket X3 STUDIO▋▋

    web --- > myworld.ebay.es/paradisses/

  • @crazycatproductions1 Windows as well. I have one and it's pretty awesome.

  • do these tone ports work on other models of amp such as mines a fender mustang????

  • does it feel cheap or does it have a solid&strong feel to it

  • Yea I got a new one aswell how do you connect it with GarageBand

  • @theLTLMNTshow Preferences, input, Line 6 Pod, apply ... etc

  • hey i just got the UX2 but i can't get it to work with garage band, what did you do for it to work?

  • It looks huge.

  • hey does it come with a driver for pod farm or does pod farm come up once you plug it in via usb? im just worried cause i got one of the ux1s off ebay and idk if its going to have all the drivers and such

  • the mic preamp is big shit

  • now what I'm curious is, how stable is the unit as simply a line in, because quite honestly I'm not interested in the vst software or pod farm shit it has to offer :P I just need a Hi-Z input that allows me to monitor with headphones. Your take on it?

  • Just ordered one of these for my new Macbook. Can't wait to gt it up and running.

  • no power cord?

  • @paboy4 It uses USB power

  • So its a usb audio interface. How to use it properly if i wanted to do a recording with a guitar? Do i plug it in into a laptop line in or plug it to the usb??

  • @JohnTeoCH Yes and then after you install the software which is awesome you can get a enormous amount of amps and effects to play around and then with a recording software you can start creating.

  • I'm thinking about buying an E-Drumkit and connect it with my computer and use VST to put in custom sound (...and record :o)). I've got a Soundcard with MIDI input and output (to be exact X-Fi Platinum with that Frontpanel-thing), would there be any "serious" difference between using my Soundcard's stuff and this nice and handy tool? like "input-lag"/latency ?

  • dude i cant wait to get my ux 1 tomorow

  • How much ? :P

  • can you use it on a PC or is it mac only?

  • @ctjoao You can use it for PC, because I have one, too. Works great.

  • can you plug it into your amp or is it mad for computer

  • @nebilmetalhead11 for computer only, but with that you don't need and amp just really good speakers.

  • do u even play guitar?

  • lol, for 9 years now. what makes you question if i even play or not?

  • idk i was just wondering b/c u can use that for diff suff

  • @applemaster405 9 years and you sound like ur 8..

  • @applemaster405 9 years? that would mean u have been playing guitar sense you were born

  • @jaimiecurrie yeah, pretty fucking amazing hey!

  • @applemaster405 lol im 17 and ive been playing for 14 yrs bud i remember my dad handing me my guitar and me wanting to play it so desperately but i could not fully reach around the neck for my hands were too small

  • @jaimiecurrie Lol come on cut him some slack. Unlike most people his age (by the sounds of it) he's actually posted something decent and worth watching.

  • @applemaster405 ur mac and annoying voice

  • So what does it do exactly? i

  • its an interface you use to get sounds from say a mic or guitar into your computer.

  • so you can make various sounds on your guitar?

  • no its so you can get the sounds your guitar is making into your computer so you can record it.

  • how much was it>?

  • doesnt matter.. he didnt pay for it and i doubt he paid for that mac

  • @rockstarmyles Spoken like a true hater.

  • excellent video!

is it possible to play 2 guitars at the same time? and to have them sounding with different presets?

  • if you use gearbox then you might be able to but im not exactly sure.

  • Wow thanks man!

so is it possible to use the line 6 ux2 with another software than the gear box?

maybe guitar rig or amplitube? that would rock!!! thanks!

  • yes you can

  • hey thanks for posting this

  • hey what's up, just one question what's the difference between this one and the black one? is it only the color?

  • the black one is the line 6 studio ux2 and this one is the line 6 toneport ux2, a friend told me the only difference is the color, but it's possible that the black one has some new features ;)

  • What kind of tool posts a video of HERself opening a box?

  • One with 1887 subscribers! Cute emphasis on the her too, but obviously you know im a guy.

  • Did you have a problem connecting your ux2 to your mac?

my mac tells me to turn off when its plugged in :(

  • I have a crate flexwave cab with a line6 hd150 head, you can always mic up the cabinet or just run the cable instead to your cab to the ux2.

  • Wha's the actual price on it?

    anybody knows

  • @22bryant ever heard of google

  • $199.99

  • It is not a stuff for girl !

  • haha lol

  • @antoineapa59 its not a girl, its one of those annyoing little reviewer kids. who somehow got partnered :S

  • heyy i have a question can u answer it asa ok do u need pod farm if u have a line 6 toneport ux2????

  • software comes with it

  • pod farm is just guitar modeling software.

No, but you will need the drivers for your computer.

  • Man you have a shitload of electronic equipment. Nice HV30 camera, this Toneport, new Mac, Wii.

  • Comment removed

  • how much does that cost

  • hey any one can help me on this problem. i have lay down 5 track i record on the first track is cool after that i try to record on track 5 than it will go to track 2 if i try to record on track 2 it will go to trck 5. why won't it let me record on the track i want? do i have to set a setting? thanks

  • omg shut up , who cares , anyway thanks for letting me see how to open a box. anything useful to add here ?? kinda a joke

  • actually its quite useful to get an idea of how big it is..apart from that yeah :P

  • sure if someone didnt know what size that would be good to know i guess, didnt mean to seem rude. guess everything is useful to someone. thanks for posting the video anyway.

  • No usb cable?

  • That's a stupid statement. And what makes you think he's a rich kid?

I've got alot of exspensive gear, but I'm not rich. I work hard to buy it

  • oh really you don't think hes a rich kid look he has a mac that's probably over a thousand dollars and that tone port is 200 since he looks like he younger than 14 he cant get a job also and rich kid only get stuff handed to them i dought he will work hard for anything so its not a stupid statement

  • I know poor people who have a mac.

And maybe it's his parents computar and saves his alowance to buy the toneport .I don't have a job but still have some guitars a pc and soon a toneport .

Don't you get money with christmas and birthdats?

  • actually all i got for my birthday was 10 dollars

  • 10 dollars ? that is not really a lot but someone who gets a bit more isn't necessarily a rich kid

  • were did i say ten dollars were

  • I HATE HIM ;)

  • do play an instrument?

  • Does anyone know if these are good for synths/keyboards???

  • toneports r only good until if u record drums with a vst plugin, the ux8 is really good, but the ones below it have like no inputs and it doesn't even have midi in/out

  • Although this may sound like an idiotic question, but does it work on a PC?

  • Yeah

  • Thank you for the response. Good god. I thought it was only for Mac. Because everyone that has the Toneport, seems to have a Mac Computer.

  • haha whata noob you have only got an ipod shuffle haha BTW ur sad 4 recording urself opening a box

  • Haha, dude, you're an idiot, I have so many subscribers because of my videos on how to jailbreak iPod touches and iPhones, which I have both off. Look how many views this video has, I'd say it was a good choice to film myself opening it.

  • You missed the part about the fact trg10y actually watched the video of you "opening a box" then calls YOU sad, what a tool.

    Good video too

  • can you record multi track with this interface

  • Depends. With my recording software, I can't. I use sequel.

  • thanks man, i'm looking into interfaces and every answer is very welcome!

  • sorry just...so much envy and so many little cash...sorry

  • are you canadian?

  • fuck you wealthy motherfucker

  • don't be like that man, really

  • i love it!!!!

  • hi everybody!!! what is the difference between tone port and studio ux2?? help plz!

  • the studio is a newer version, the toneport doens't create's anymore...i think

  • Hey, im thinking of buying one of those to record my vocals, i already have a peavey pv6 mixer and a shure sm58 mic, will i need the mixer or just this to record my vocals? thanks

  • just this :)

  • Ads*

  • Og my fucking god how I hate those "Adds by google" It makes me nuts! :@...

  • how much did you pay for that bro? thinkin of gettin one

  • the line 6 pod ux2 is $200

  • Nice, looks pretty sweet.

  • When you plug it in through USB, does the sound go through your computer speakers? If not, does it come with a cord to hook it up to your computer speakers, stereo, or amp ?

  • i love my pod studio ux2

  • who knows what kind of footswitch one might use with this toneport?

  • i think its just like the guitar rig one you can load any midi to usb pedal. ill have to check it out

  • i just bought one of these and when i hook it up and i hooked up to garageband and everything but when i play its always crackiling and shit making noises and its not the chord ive tried like 6 differen't chords anyone no?

  • on the spftware screen to the left there is a noise/hun canceler, hit learn and then follow the instructions.

  • it makes perfect metal tones. just customize your own with the line 6 insane amp mod that comes with it

  • sweet, that spinal puppet is sposed to be pretty badass too right?

  • i get the hang of this interface..it have really a good balance for some acoustic demo.. i've make one and it impress mojority of the listerners..i may recommend u this ux2

  • does the ux1 have footswitch entrance to ? .... can you play 2 guitars at the same time with this one ? ........

  • dude... your voice sucks!

  • your voice is so depressing

  • wow your one spoilt boy, im jealous ;p

  • nice vid. it does look pretty much more useful than the ux1!

(by the way, this also works with PCs, not just with Macs. remember 92% of the population uses Windows PCs, so it would be a good idea to mention it in the video ;)

  • wat does that do Ampify sound?

  • its a soundcard enabling you to record into your pc.

  • lol that stupid windows has a program to that un usefull shit

  • Youre both wrong. It's a soundcard enabling you to record to your computer with a package of many amp models. Tones that don't come with "windows".

  • dude windows will own mac in ever direction youl spin so fast your head will fall off

  • dude i own a windows and the only thing they beat mac in is pricing. if macs sucked so much why would basically all pro video and audio editors use them. windows is great for every day things but when you editing real video or audio it does a such bad job managing resources you just slow right down. the only macs that truly suck are the mini(or just the ones iv used) the air and the emac(you know the shitty all in one schools buy)

  • does this work with any software?

  • Can this record drums too? or how about my own equipment (in case I want to use my own stuff)? Thanks

  • you can record anything through it. its built specifically for vocals, guitar or bass but in 'gearbox' you can set it up for a clean sound so you can record pretty much anything through it. ive got one and have recorded drums off it as well as keys and others

  • if you mic up your drum kit with only two microphones then yeah

  • I have that exact same computer :)

  • Do you even play guitar dude? That stuff is manufactured for guitar recording, as the software will show.

  • hey wt's up, is UX-2 compatible with intel based Mac's ? ? I want one of these for mobile recording, I use Presonus gear with LogicStudio8 and it's just great, but I think this could be great for my macbook Intel core 2 duo ............ cheers and thanx :D

  • works fine!!!

  • Macs are Amazing............ly bad

    :P

  • Hey Applemaster i have been watching your videos for ages but i really want a review on your ux2 and gearbox please also kl iphone dude lol

  • Hey Gilbertson, You hit the nail on the head my friend,Guitar center only cater to peopl;e who fit into there fake, wanna be rock star image.I go in there all the time to get strings because its convenient and they talk down to you because im not rock enough. I also know most of the staff at my GI center know shit about anything and just want to hang out and look cool, i now buy mostly from sweetwater and zzounds, these guys know their s*#t.

  • so they decided to sell him faulty shit that they decided to ring up for themselves, spend the week playing with, then returning it the next day they came into work. The people working at Guitar Center are a disgrace to all musicians, because apparently to them, you have to have sweet tattoos and awesome rock star clothes to be a musician. So that's my rant, and once again, thank you for this video.

  • Dude, this video helped me out a lot! So I received this for my 21st birthday and after hours in front of the computer having issues with drivers and installation; etc, I found this video and realized that the cardboard boxing and plastic wrap wasn't included with mine, then came the conclusion that Guitar Center took advantage of my step-dad, knowing full and well that his clean-cut image suggested he had no idea what he was purchasing,

  • whats the latency like on the ux2?

  • virtually non existent.

  • what is it better? pod 2.0 or this or the line 6 GX port?

  • can i use my keyboard in that?

  • How much is that?

  • "more warrinty crap..." it can save your life one day that crap, hope u dont need it =)

  • lol, you dont even need to fill it out i already had it replaced under warranty, i guess the just throw that stuff in for shits and giggles.

  • spoiled bitch

  • no actually working bitch.

  • yeah working on dick bitch

  • love me some dick, dude just because i got this doesnt mean you have to be a douche.

  • @some stupid figure

Get a job dumbass. Toneports are cheap.

  • does the UX2 work well with Garage Band?

  • OMG...

maybe someday i'll post "idiot guide : how to enter utube by using your own computer"

  • Nice product. Let me ask you something??? How Much does it weight approximately??? How wide is it??? Thank you very much.

  • Dude you so have not hit puberty yet.

And I'm not trying to be mean, its just really funny.

It's like, here's this kid, with a Toneport, and a frickin awesome Mac. I actually hate you a little bit.

    Thats just not fair.

    I want a Mac.

    I already have the toneport

  • agreed, i hate it

  • himynameisknox:" Dude you so have not hit puberty yet.

Well seems you haven't passed puberty either. What a childish comment.

  • Puberty is a time of physical maturity. Some people never mentally mature.

  • Do you know if this also works well with Windows XP??

  • yes it works my friend got one of this

  • u fag I am waiting on mine to get here and now i feel like i been cheated!! lol haha

    I want it now!!!! fuck!!!

  • I have no clue why people post these 'unboxing videos', they're just silly.....

but I find myself watching them anyway haha

  • me too.

    hahaha.

  • Try 'Reaper' instead of Audacity, its free, easy to use, much nicer and more flexible.

The heavier/distorted guitar tones on Toneports sound super shitty and fake, total highschool bedroom shredder tones. but the clean tones are passable enough. The best thing about these are the mic preamp models imho. Really handy for doing acoustic/vocal demo's or getting anything analog onto your tracks but the amp sim stuff is fake as hell.

  • you gonna make some vids with guitar?

  • i also have a line 6 toneport ux2. i just use audacity for recording. and yes, the sound is amazing. one thing i do not like about it though is i get these weird gltichy beeping sounds when trying to record over a track. very annoying

  • does anyone know how to fix that?

  • is that audacity or the toneport you think??

  • it is definetelly the toneport. because one time i connected the tone port to my amp and played while mp3 plays on computer... and it still did the same shit

  • I think it's better if you plug an MP3 player into the line in on the UX2 (it's got one right? :P)... i can't really help you on this, since I haven't gotten the TonePort yet, and won't be 'till I go to the US (I live in Norway) in a little less than a month ;)

  • how much did u pay for that?

  • i agree with the strong recommendation of toneports. i use a toneport KB37.

however, i do have one problem with the toneports. you have to register them to a specific computer and if you want to use it on another computer you have to re-register it with that computer. its just quite irritating.

what software do you use to record?
