Thomas Jane is twice the actor Ray Stevenson is, though that is not to say that I didn't enjoy this movie. At least with the 2004 version of The Punisher, people could feel sympathy for him losing his family. This one used over the top violence to make up for what it lacked in story and I still cannot understand why most people view Ray Stevenson as the "ULTIMATE PUNISHER"...

thomas was good playing Frank Castle, not Punisher persona. He did a good job making the transiton from a retired goverment service guy to an anti-hero. Ray gave that edgy, dark, merceless personality into Punisher. so, Jane pull off Frank Castle well, Stevenson pull off Punisher.

yeah the classic Punisher.. I've heard that and I've seen some covers with Punishers on it that kind of look like Thomas Jane, but he doesn't look intimidating like the comic drawings
