Just in case you guys hadn't had the chance to check it out, there are about 7 Seige tunes from what looks like a performance long ago on a local acess show on Youtube. Also take a look at a similier showcase performance by a very young Die Kruizen...sorry about the spelling.
Dri were bindle carrying hicks compared to Septic Death who were straight out of Hell Raiser. DRI blasted too, but these guys from Idaho...fuckin IDAHO! Was there are reactor leak? I don't think these guys did drugs, thats scary.
Forgetaboutit! Man, in the day (mid-eighties) I was way into S.Death, it was all I listened to (almost) Had all the vinyl including the live "10" that sounded like shit. DRI were way more high profile, you could see em when they rolled through town and buy thier vids and thier fans knew all the members of the band. Septic Death on the other hand sounded like a nightmare, had very few photos and no vids and wrote songs few understood. Weird thing: DRI's mentors were Slayer S.D's Metallica
I saw a flyer online for a show that happened long ago it was in headlining order: The Misfits, Poison Idea, oddly enough Seven Seconds and Sptic Death. Man, all those heavey hitting bands in one gig. After the early years of hardcore 80-83 Detroit saw a fraction of the touring bands that other cities enjoyed.
Septic Death were amongst America's fisrt grindcore bands (Genocide/Repulsion, Siege, etc...)
