  • If you only know bits of history because of a game level just shut the fuck up

  • Huh! The animals took back what was theirs to begain with. To bad man had to come ruin the land.

  • WHat the fuck is this half of it is a fukin wild life documentary about bears.. if i wanted id watch animal planet for that shit

  • pooooooooooor cat

  • Tho whats happend was bad its made an epic wildlife sanctuary

  • Despite the atrocity of this disaster and the horrors the people that once lived there might have suffered, I find it kind of beautiful and reassuring to see how nature has thrived in the absence of humans. It is very encouraging to see that nature can take over and clean up even in these conditions. Maybe there is hope for our planet’s future after all, if not for us.

  • but if not even mankind can live in that environment, how can nature?

  • @st3phenJC plants are much simpler than animals and humans. you won't notice the changes by simply looking at it that much. if a plant mutates, it often dies very fast - you won't notice that (except for trees, they'll look ill). but if you look at the dna of plants you surely can detect many abnormalities. moreover, plants often have more cromosomes than humans. therefore if e.g. 1 cromosome mutates, the percentage of mutation in a plant is much lower than in an animal/human being.

  • @TheCarmacon Even if I didn't ask the question I must say that I find your answer very interesting. I guess in that case, the simpler the better... Nature is much stronger than us in its own way.

  • @guntherbladderburst thanks for your comment. i wasn't even sure whether it's comprehensible or not :D

  • 5:27 - Weeeeeeeeeeeeeee BALLS!!!!!

  • @binboyuk me 2 lol

  • Human life has ended but a new civilization is born.

  • 5:18 LOL i now love bears!

  • Finally something good is born out of the ashes.

  • Amazing how something so terrible could become so beautiful at the same time.

  • Yeh joe is telling us to kill ourselves when the nuclear reactors all over the world would be unattended they'd be fucked plus evolution takes millions of years and I doubt this planet will be here for that long. Good sport for calling me an idiot just because you need to let people hear you opinion.

  • life always finds a way.

  • Ok, so these animals seem normal. Oddly, Hiroshima and Nagasaki are again thriving cities. I guess that knocks down the deadliness of nuclear toxins, eh?

  • @57LouC wow, seriously...? "knocks down the headlines of nuclear toxins"?

both bombs together didnt emit as much radioactivity as the reactor here.... and the animals are ok? yeah, sure... because it's the same animals that where there 1986, right? or at least their kids, eh? totally couldnt be any animals from different areas who have migrated, right? it MUST be animals who live ONLY in the contaminated area, thus proving radioactivity to be A-OK!

    you best be trollin, dawg

  • @AnonMadara Chill dude! I'm just speculating. I know the critters do not have that long of a shelf life. Of course many have migrated in. I just keep remembering how deadly plutonium is, not to mention half life, etc...yet---??????? Agree about amount of radiation, definitely different, I'd not expect a plant or weed to grow around Chernobyl.

I'm not saying it's OK, I just find it odd...and don't call me "dawg" please.

  • @57LouC umm... sorry, came across a little more aggro than i wanted it to... and the "dawg" was also meant to sound more internet-ish, y'know? yeah - radiation is bad. but yeah - the animals could be from anywhere and could just have gotten lucky. we dunno. have a nice day

  • @AnonMadara No problemo! ;)

  • This is just fantastic, surprising and very hopeful, also done beautifully. How is it that animals can survive this, I wonder.

  • Why the hell did it have to be a preachy green movie? I'm more interested in the history of Prypiat/Chyrnobil itself.

  • Im and american and I hate the fact that we used a cheap horrible weapon that started it all and started the cold war and ended ww2 if we had war heads with just purified liquid 238 ( it would take a suicidal man to install) we would surely turn this earth into the sun for 250,000,000 years (if its an isetope) no joke that why people make movies and video games about it to scare you because in this case fear is your best friend

  • @epicpieho your an idiot

  • This study makes it so clear that humans are the main problem for life on earth.... even before nuclear disasters..... so ironic we got rid of ourselves, & life flourishes again...

  • your an idiot i bet you believe in evolution too so we humans should kill ourselves you first of course then nature can take back over and the monkeys can evolve again and destroy the earth once more think about it it may have already happened hundreds of times over anything is possible when you worship father time just throw a couple billion years at it and the possibilities are endless also look up the definition of ironic because your wrong there is nothing ironic about your statement

  • @joewadams4 Holy shit you're stupid.

  • amazing videos! great study of humans vs nature.

  • animal city =D

  • Find Strelok

    Kill Strelok

  • i read an article about how they arent able to touch a carcass with their hands because of radiation

  • You can get to and inside Chernobyl there are tours

  • how come radiation doesnt affect the animals like it would affect us? they breathe in the same air dont they.

  • @nobodehspurfect27 ...they said that their lifespans are too short to get any cancers or tumors...

  • @nobodehspurfect27 becuse this is from after the chernobyl cleanup, and this is 15 to 20 miles from the accident, but radiation did affect animals, they had to killl all pets in chernobyl to keep them from irradiating any soildiers they touched

  • Crazy init !?!

  • @xXMissPoodlePantsXx

    Ok, thanks for sharing!

  • its the promised land

  • When I say that the moonlanding was impossible due to the radiation outside our planet, radiation is peanuts! when i say radiation is not as lethal as they want us to believe, all of a sudden its mega lethal and I am asked to shut up?.... some people realy need to wake up......

  • radiation is a farce.....it's lethal but not as lethal as they want us to believe,,,see these animals? no problem...radiation is the biggest scare they throw upon us!!!!

  • @basmikiemike if you don't know anything about a subject, don't make up things please, people may believe the crap you are telling them.

  • @basmikiemike Yeah ok Mr Wizard

  • Aren't those apples full of radiation? Why aren't the animals born mutated?

  • @DBrofi They have a complete different immune system. Animals arent so affected by radiation

  • lol wht happens if u have no fridends or family. abd u are asleep when everyone leaves XD

  • cats from chernobyl 100 buks each!

  • The reason the animals aren't dying is bcauz they don't live long 4 the radiation 2 take effect even they do live long enuf they probably do just eventually just die from the radiation u just never see it

  • lol at 5:27

  • Just watch out for the bloodsuckers. :)

  • STALKER 2 gameplay footage.

  • if we cant go anywhere near it then how r they filming in there

  • @leafsownage They are allowing tours of certain parts of Pripyat but you can't get anywhere near Chernoyl.

  • poor cat :(

  • wtf this a documentary cat

  • The best part is 05:27 - 05:31

  • how come nobody takes shit.. its just gunna fuckin rot so why not take it home

  • @BubbaTiger1495

Do you want to have 5 armed Children? If yes...go collect some parts from there...especially the helicopters are valuable :>

  • Eventually not so long from now there will be no radation the whole city should become a memorial or park

  • Great video- I really enjoyed it.

  • @missmoll01 not as much as that bear enjoyed his apples

  • poor kitty

  • wel the cats are cute. and the mother cat was thinking "what the hell are you looking at??" and the kittens were like "oh,this is a good place to live."

  • poor cats :*(

  • For 1 it would be a crime seriously to take anything form there and 2 everything is so ridden with radiation. They would rather throw in jail for steal from here than to take excuses.

  • Comment removed

  • thumbs up if you dont mind nuclear powerplants being built!

  • cant the animal, somehow get radiation on them, maybe leave the area, pass it on?

  • Can they actually test those apples/plants and some of those animals to see the radioactive levels entrapped in their bodies? It shouldn't be that hard to test those cats. How come these mammals seem to live a seemingly normal life in the middle of all this contamination?

Are there genetically mutated animals and plants here?

  • You can only visit Pripyat for 2 hours because of the radioactivity

  • 5:29 FAIL xD!!

  • Guys after 25 years cleanup crews are still going and cleaning radiated things.

Thumbs up this comment if you think what happened at chernobyl was scary

  • ninja bear!

  • oh you gotta love the suicidal environmentalist attitude, "yeah its a horrible place where humans die and will die and its off limits for years because of radiation but look how cute these animals there are" fucking retarded shit

  • However happens, Slava Ukraini!!!!

  • radiation + despotism + folly - full disclosure = chernobyl

  • GET OUT OF HERE STALKER

  • Great video, but 10 minutes of saying the same thing over, and over, and over again, get's obnoxious, we get it, animals & nature taking over again where humans abandonded.........

  • Human + Technology + Mistake = Disaster

  • Get out of here stalker

  • BEAR WHY YOU NO KNOCK

  • @Gh0st420666 LOOOOL

  • Humans cause more destruction than any nuclear accident.

  • That's pretty neat!

  • they should never let people allout to live there.

    nice wildlifepark!

  • brown bear dont care, he dont give a shit!

  • thaose are pretty damn smart

  • i say that even when the radiation is gone, no one live here.... it would be nice to see a place that is 100% wildlife

  • Oh ! Paul McGann......!

  • how can they live there if they eat the grass and things like that they should be deformed to.

  • @jb55101 Radiation doesn't give deformation above genetic cellular levels, and even then you're just looking at cancerous changes.

  • amazing~

  • Kitties!!!!!

  • why is the volume so low

  • wow ghost town it was...

  • the idea of portal 2!

  • Pripyat is a prime example of what things would be like when humans are gone, very interesting to see. Look how fast nature is taking over, after only 25 years. Imagine 100, 200 years.

  • I have a question. So it is somewhat safe? You seem to be going around aimlessly and filming, which isn't a bad thing but it doesn't seem dangerous anymore.

  • @arrwade

It's safe depending on where you are standing. Moss and soil is where the radiation is usually higher then if you are standing on asphalt or concrete. The main dangerous thing with walking in the forests and stuff is inhaling dust containing radiactive particles.

  • i dont understand why radiation hasn't affected theses animals, yet it would kill us humans. would some one care to explain?

  • @susupoosa most animals have a higher tolerance of radiation that humans.

  • @susupoosa idk im just guessing that the animals only have a 10 year life span or so without radiation but with radiation im sure it does not help them at all it just shortens their life span they can still reproduce but they wont live as long, humans could live their but it would be unhealthy/unsafe, its like saying theirs fish in in a sewer yea their living but you dont wana do swim in the same water their in. and the radiation in chernobyl will not kill humans instantly or anything.

  • @atvrider312 They don't rely on us, but us relying on them damages them. They would react in the way that they would thrive. Dumbass.

  • @susupoosa animals have different chromosomes and some arent affected by radiations

  • Narrated by Doctor Who. Why didn't he stop this happening?

  • Why can trees, plants, insects and animals can safely live there, but not human???

Please tell me if you know the scienfic fact behind!!!

  • @applesweeter They are much tougher than us humans. If it werent for our technology, we would have died out rather quickly.

  • Amazing that so many beautiful animals can thrive through the death of so many people. Amazing Beauty from hardship. Thumbs up if you agree with this.

  • @skorafreestyle 33 people died, 15 from thyroid cancer.

"New Report on Health Effects due to Radiation from the Chernobyl Accident"

That's because the public in Ukraine was exposed to <100 mSv, no one has ever proved that such a low level of radiation causes cancer. It is assumed, without any evidence, that any dose of radiation is harmful no matter how small. This is contrary to growing medical evidence that cells and the immune system counteracts the effects of low level radiation.

  • This is the best documentary I've ever seen. Heartbreakingly beautiful.

  • nature is waiting for us to die. well some of us.

  • For Nature humanity is worse than radiation.

  • on alot of these videos I see "stalker". Why do people always put that? Im just wondering.

  • @jadeneverett Stalker is a game a PC Game, Based Off of the Chernobyl Accident

  • I'm glad to see that animals will do fine or even better without people.

  • wo, the wild animals are living so vividly over there!

    many variety!

  • After seeing all the videos on Chernobyl I wonder if anyone has took away anything from there, I mean look at all the old money and antiques sitting there..As long as a geiger counter don't go crazy when you pass it over something I suppose you could take it as a souvenir.

  • @PolizeiPaul That would be amazing honestly, but it's riddled with radiation. You can't take that stuff, it's not safe. Cancer would be well in that persons future if they dared.

  • @PolizeiPaul i dont think anyone would go there due to radiation even at this time i wouldnt go there in pripyat 50,000 people used to live there and now its a ghost town

  • @PolizeiPaul I thought that too, good luck getting past 3 military checkpoints.

Before you even enter need to fill out a request and get it approved by the government, one of the things they are particular about is not touching our radioactive shit.

There are locals there too who been looting for 20 years. I'm sure they can sell you something.

  • @welk0metohell: Seems like with coins or metal stuff it could be cleaned off but you're most likely right..If you have to be approved to enter than you can bet the local police will follow you around everywhere you go there XD.

  • @PolizeiPaul Yeah the place has been stripped by now. Alot of people go there.

  • @PolizeiPaul They did, some stupid people illegally took all the radiators from the buildings and now those radioactive radiators are somewhere in someones home..

  • @GTASA911 They wouldnt have taken the radiators to reuse them... they would most likely have taken them for the copper linings within them as you can sell them to your local scrap yard for a fair amount of money :)

  • @PolizeiPaul well if would stupid if they did I'd imagine if the money, china, and antiques would still be contaminated

  • @PolizeiPaul It's russia, go figure.

  • @PolizeiPaul They might as well nickname The Exclusion Zone as Looter Central, it's basically like S.T.A.L.K.E.R in real life, people make a living and steal everything and make a profit by selling it off as 'war artifacts'

  • @PolizeiPaul I wouldn't go anywhere near that place

  • S.T.A.L.K.E.R !

  • It's beautiful.

  • @i8hy6e3 Everyone ignore that troll!

  • @i8hy6e3 lol fag

  • @whosbluegrass I need the space to live alone seriously.

  • please. I'm 300km from Fukushima. This is not a warm fuzzy issue.

This program is about humans deserting an area. not a critical doco about the effects of high-dose radiation particle efffects on DNA.

External radiation poisoning you get from Bombs (gama rays (light)) and internal radiation poisoning (sucking in particles of Uranium and Plutonium -worst) from melt down is completely different process. The Hiroshima comparison is a no no if you ever talk to those effected this time.

  • 5:28 that looks fun.

  • @xXNoScOpEzXx1

Bears seem like funny guys that wanna try out everything.

  • who needs the door these days just jump out the window

  • dosent the radiation effect the animals...

  • Intresting!!!

  • GET OUT OF HERE,STALKER

  • Man it's beautiful there.

  • @wingsofhope2 Nature can overcome anything. Natural selection can have adaptation to tolerate any surrounding.

Perhaps the intelligence of man gets the better of man sometimes?

It is more than beautiful to see animals living where many scientists said only grass would grow for thousands of years. Some said even grass wouldn't grow.

    Mother nature is almost godlike.

  • @STOPTHEEU , excellent post. Mother Nature is God.

  • @nedthetoothpick With mother nature on ourside we can overcome anything! ? :-)

Look at Japan. Two Atomic attacks... Still here.

    Ukrainians/bBelarusians are still here! :-)

  • ah, fuck.. they look nothing like Stalkers..

my illusions are crumbling apart :((

  • HAHAHAHA LAUGHING MY ASS REALLY GOOD I SAW THIS NEVER NEVER NEVER KNOW THERE WHERE BEARS OVER THERE

  • @MPOEO

Those were mutated cats, not bears

  • @rungettothechoppa

OMG i am so sorry :(

  • @MPOEO

pray.. pray for Optimu Prime, my son. He died for our sins.

  • @EdTheBadass

    i... will!

  • @rungettothechoppa Perhaps a mutation is often adaptation?

  • @STOPTHEEU

Umm.. yea... except if it drags on for some.. uu, I don`t know.. few million years?

  • @MPOEO well.. duh there's tons of bears in that area;;

  • @LunaTemari

*sigh* another retard who is not getting it

  • @MPOEO talking about yourself here. thats sad.

  • @LunaTemari

very sad that you react like this what are you? 12?

  • @MPOEO haha go back to your first post and then ask yourself this question. the result may suprize you and maybe you'll finally realize its time to grow up.

  • @LunaTemari

So u do not realise i am just trolling? look at the other guy`s comment i have reacted on

    DUH! pothead

  • @MPOEO and? that doesnt make you look any less childish. lol

  • @LunaTemari

Ok kanye so u really do not get the joke? U REALLY DONT GET IT?

  • @LunaTemari how cute ^-^ , you have a friend called MPOEO!!!

  • @varilla111 hm?

  • @LunaTemari ignore me

  • People probably thought that there would be some mutated beasts but when an animal has a mutation it probably makes them weak and unable to do things by themselves their parents just leave them to die so animals are pretty much normal...

  • Poor cats. Poor fucking cats.

  • Fuck, It was NOT a meltdown, it was an explosion.

  • Meow?

  • The guides that take tourists around chernobyl says this is a complete fake made by a whiterussian idiot...there are only bords in chernobyl and not many of them either according to the guides.
