The dark spots you see in the larvae is their poo poo.

To purge them you have to dunk them in boiling water using a cheese cloth while they are still alive.

@franalam lol - we call her cute at home. This girl telling me this was from Laos - northeast Thailand area - and they're really hardcore about superstitions.

I loved playing with those ants when I was little. I ate many of their eggs. The eggs were bigger than the ones you had in the video.

I put one live ant such as the one in the video in my mouth one time. It did not bite me but I felt something sour, I'm not sure what it was. Lol. I was about 9 years old when I did it.
