Good battle scene, but I've never understood how these schoolchildren could suddenly become badass warriors after just in time for the big fight. There was a short scene of them training beforehand, but that couldn't have been more than a few days

haha yes, it is a little like andrew adamson is trying to emulate peter jackson moreso than lewis. the film itself is pretty good, though, if you can ignore the (numerous) LotR overtones.

@UnoriginalJess92 But you have to remember, Tolkien and Lewis were good friends as well as contemporaries. That might explain the similarities.

@schap711 Tolkien and Lewis were friends, but one difference in their works is that Lewis shied away from describing battle scenes. The battle in LWW is literally about half a page before Aslan leaps in and kills the witch. Here it's drawn out and obviously influenced by Peter Jackson more than Lewis attempted to emulate Tolkien when describing battle scenes.

@burfoot69 Not at all C.S. Lewis Has a great series here. It might seem like LOTR but it isn't. C.S. Lewis, and Tolkein and George Lucas are all christians. C.S. Lewis in this series shows his christianity mostly in this Book because, simply Aslan SACRIFICED himself and ROSE again. Sounds kind of liek christ eh'? And it's a proven fact they are all christians Tolkein made LOTR and George Lucas Star wars
