BSF was first classified and released into cinemas in 1983 by Blake Films, so the poster is from that year. The old Palace Explosive home video was released 26 March 1984 to be completely exact, along with I Spit on your Grave and the Killing of America. All on the same day!
Troma's pretty well known for creating misleading posters for their movies. It's some sort of inside joke that only Troma buffs get.
