When I was a young Christian, I used to listen to this song over and over and over. A few years ago I was listening to a Keith Green compilation CD where he talked about this song as an intro to playing it. He said something like he didn't even take credit for writing it b/c once when he was discouraged God sang it to him. This is a favorite Christian song of mine. It deals with a major struggle of Christians. Am I good enough? A resounding YES b/c God is good and He is more than enough!

Absolutely beautiful. When I first saw these I thought it really was Keith Green (with short hair). You sound like Keith and actually bear a strong physical resemblance to him. Thank you for sharing your gift of music with us. Keith's music was a major influence in bringing me to Christ years ago. I saw Keith in concert in St. Louis back in 1982 -- an amazing experience I will never forget.

I pressed play on pink floyd "the wall" and it would not play. No matter what I did. So I reached in my pocket and grabbed the other tape. I put it in and press play. The first words I hear as I am crying and still shivering are "my son my son why are you weeping? You will not have to wait forever" It was this song. I listened to it three times and then I was feeling fine. Total Peace. I never got "high" again and it has been almost 13 years. Praise Jesus! YEJAY thanks for doing this song.

Back in 96 I had been struggling with drug addiction(marijuanna)and I had pleaded with God to heal me of it. I kept saying just once more then I will stop. Well one night he allowed me to get a batch of "pot" laced with something. I woke up shivering and shaking and sweating and crying and I thought I was going to lose it. Is it me or are you singing a few notes below Keith Green's original version? You have a competent playing style, and a not too annoying voice, but singing a few notes below that of Keith makes your rendition a little tepid. I'm not criticizing you. Bottom line: better Piano Player than KG, but not quite the same voice. You did an awesome job, and thanks for your cover.

Wow. That was awesome, brother. What a blessing it was to hear it. The song always brings tears to my eyes. You darn near nail Keith's piano style too. Another two cups of coffee and you would have it down pat. I met Keith in 1978 when he came to Sioux Falls College. I bought his first album and have always been a supporter.

It stirs something in me.... faith in love and grace. I can't quite define literally it in the Christian way but it is real to me, none-the-less.

Love and Grace are pretty much Christian attributes - the Muslims serve an angry god, the buddhists teach that you need to become an island to yourself which disregards feelings toward other people...The Christian faith is pretty much the only item on the shelf if you want love and grace. If you are searching spiritually, I believe that the True God will reveal Himself to you though

Logically, the truth is very narrow, you know. A doctor performing heart surgery has to be very precise, an architect must be exact about his measurements, 2+2 will always equal 4. Jesus claimed to be the only way to get to heaven. Either He was or wasn't.

Yes I use to agree with the christian message, and Keiths music was such an inspiration for me in my christian life. The first ever song of his I heard was 'Asleep in the light', that made me delve deeper into christianity.

I now sing to my kids, myself and my wife.
