  • The second Demo sounds sweet. Waldorf synths have their own unique sounds. Thanks for the Demo Morph....

  • @StudlyHero

    ;-)

  • nice machine was sold much too cheap

  • i wanna micro q !!

  • The second demo is probs the best demo on any synth, I mean it even talks to you ;-)

This wowed me enough in 2003 to make me buy one.

    Got a Micro Q and Blofeld..great synths

  • HI vinylJunkie,

What do you think of the Blofeld Vs. Micro Q ?

    How do they compare ?

    IttaiTal

  • @ittaital

micro q: warm sound, sharp and acid

    Blofeld: sound sharper and acid

    two machines very interesting

  • @ittaital Tome the mQ's oscillators are kinda rawer, heavier, with more bass, grittier.

  • multimode power!

    love it!

  • waldorf q sounds great but I think this demo is not something special.

  • ive been looking into getting a virus but this one sounds really nice... for making hard dance etc.

  • Too bad the Q's discontinued... :-(

  • The Owner has taste!!

Not only does he have the excellent Micro Q 'demo-ing', but if you look closely at the bottom of the screen, It is sitting above the Awesome & understated Yamaha AN1x !!!

  • ;-)

  • Exactly.

  • @xoio

I dont think the An1x was underrated - in Germany it sold decent - not as good as the Cs1x but good enough. It came out when the Roland JP8080 was selling hardcore - the first Virus and the Nord Lead were smashing the market. But Yamaha has a couple very underrated Synthesizer - the EX5 with its unique FDSP Synthesis. Or the Ultimate FM Synthesizer the Yamaha Fs1r with its Format Synthesis...the An1x is great but i own a Yamaha An200 - same thing but as a Beatbox. Check it out...

  • Does is still worth of buying one now, considering the new Blofeld desktop module has come (and have very very great sounds)?

    How do they compare?

  • Id also like to get a answer to this.

Cuz i can buy a used micro q for almost the same price as a new blofeld costs..

  • Aww, I don't understand... I thought The micro Q doesn't have a sequencer (like the Q rack or keyboard version). How do you play sequences please ?

  • The demo MicroQ, I Demo produced by waldorf and save on eprom! ;)

  • Thanks for your answer ! But, excuse me I just don't really understand : since it's a demo song saved on eprom, it must use synthesizer's specifications...

So, I refused to buy a Q rack since I can buy a preowned micro Q a lot cheaper : could you tell me if it's easy to sequence it via hardware sequencer ? (MPC, groovebox...)

    thanks mate !

  • yes

  • it's waldorf, that's why the yellow thing sounds so good!

  • Waldorf have those crazy momemts, the Q yellow and the Microwave XT orange, but the put back one the box to Korgs and Rolands.

  • ;)

    Morpheus

  • All by MicroQ? That is fantastic :).
