  • Wow, I am becoming sentimental, all those tracks we floated through space with...

  • Chris Farlowe was a great singer, but he ruined Atomic Rooster for me.

  • LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL definitely not getting youtube raped as we speak

  • That's classic! ...peanut butter and jelly sandwich while singing. Guess he couldn't have waited 7 minutes

  • cheese sandwich.

  • Tiny Tim?

  • My Love

  • i am seeing " the munchies" here. Haha

  • I will never eat a sandwich again.

  • at 0.59 looks like he was gunna puke up his acid trip, i nearly had to turn me head,,yuuck

  • This is a great song and this performance is soooooooo funny!!!!!!

Everytime I will be be depressed I'll go see this again, gives me a lot of positive energy.by laughing

Thank you for uploading verry much

love and peace from the Netherlands.

    I

  • el cantante es manuk

  • WOW!!!

  • holy fuck when he went high it was awesome. awesome.

  • @cuntsgab

yes it was, also his face, loved it

  • Love it! But........ I'm not an animal, I'm a human being.

  • gracias a dios no había full HD.

  • lead singer kinda looks like Tiny Tim

  • @Mustachhe I thought the same thing. Body double for Tiny Tim.

  • Chris Farlowe. What a voice! What a charismatic personality!

  • Awesome music!! I hope that sandwich was good :)

  • @TheLadyBugg8

I think so, because he was looking that way, while he was singing, he did not finish eating it yet!

  • What's with every dropkick commenting on their image? Like it fucking matters what the hell they looked like, there's music there, too, you know? Which should override any and all other facets of the band.

  • @Naraath yeah but the first thing i thought when i saw this video was how the lead singer looked like steve coogan if steve coogan did lsd and smoked pot for 12 years

  • hope the drummer didn't die after playing with spinal tap, he's good! :D

  • I like this, I suppose you guys look like Johnny Depp????? great song......Huichol53........ Your Sound is real nice, like it a lot......

  • one fuckin legend band love it love d art the song still lives

  • 02:54 "Sorry guys, i forgot to eat before we started making a music video"

  • Chris Farlowe does a pretty good version of Handbags and Gladrags later covered by Rod Stewart. Don't know if he did it first, but worth checking out.

  • this is like the shitty half of the 70s let get real homies

  • @MrDNANDA Thats yer opinion,which doesn't matter here......homie.

  • @progjazzfusion every genre has true artists and also posers. I don't believe you can isolate disco and punk. (I'm not even that particular to them) It's the wrong kind of dumb party-people who just want noise to drown out the blaring silence of their own minds and will accept anything some beady eyed pushy little pusher pushes on them that taints music. that's all it's ever been. Access to sound-systems should be regulated like the third Reich. so people don't all kill each other.

  • The singer could hit higher notes than Mariah Carey! Impressive.

  • He starts out by chompin on a BPandJ Samich. Still chewing it through the beginning of the song.

  • This raw music in its crude form. unadulterated, uncooked. just raw. and im lovin it. cant say the same about 99.99% of music.

  • The singer, Chris Farlowe, is pretty cool because he crossed so many genres. He started as a skiffle singer, then was marketed as a soul singer. Later the Rolling Stones managed him and he did some straight 'pop' records, including a Number one. He also did prog rock, R 'n' B, Blues, Jazz, Jazz rock, both with big name groups and in his own right. One problem of this is he gets a lot of negativity from 'pidgeon holers' who can always find something he did that they hate! :-)

  • The lead singer is kind of hot

I think it's what counts on the inside!

  • @PokaHauntsUs - you got it! music and feeling and soul over image. that's what the 70s had that got lost.

  • @progjazzfusion Thanks for recognizing!

    thats the way i am!

this music is so soul stripping makes me want to rewrite my life and live to the fullest

live free and positive vibrations! with anyone to be my soul mate

  • @PokaHauntsUs The lead singer is actually Mr Chris farlowe - having played with many 60 bands - including The Thunderbirds - do you remember - Out of time

  • @PokaHauntsUs The Lead singer is Chris Farlowe - Legendary singer - do you remember Out of time also played loads of stuff with Jimmy Page

  • Who eats a sandwich in the middle of a song?! The funny part is that then next song they play in an instramental so he coul've eaten all the sandwiches he wanted. This is my new favorite video on youtube.

  • Pretty ugly guy. I think.

  • this song is awesome. We listen me and my father and we love his voise

  • shampoo

  • Munchies can't wait for this working class hero ...even for the vid haha. Probably some Nepalese temple ball or Paki .What a time ....for music ,girls and smoke.

  • that sandwich was laced with LSD

  • @avor haha indeed!

  • @progjazzfusion Fantastic

  • RIP Vincent Crane ! Organ Virtuoso !

  • @baldassaredegenes - sorry but i disagree. zep wore basic jeans and t's except for occasional eccentric zoso jacket. nothing pretty. they were sweaty scruffy dudes just like rooster and the rest. prove to me on some video link that zep looked nicey nice clean and sharp

  • These hippies fucking rule. I want a piece of that soul sandwich he keeps grubbing on. Black snake!!!!

  • not the most impressive vocals, not the most impressive guitar, not the most impressive drums or melody.........but DAMN these guys made it work! amazing music! true talent!

  • Their first album is my favorite

  • Such a kick ass band

  • would love this if i had not heard the album version, the drumming is nowhere near as good.

  • I want some PB and J

  • He's good singer

  • @bonesamy Vincent Crane is dead

  • Does anyone think the lead guitarist looks kind of like Hillary Swank?

  • my favorite atomic rooster lineup, he was my favorite singer.

  • These were REAL Musicians.

Some guys say this band is the best or some other band is.But i think they were all great Quartz,Cactus,Bang,Wishbone Ash,Yes,Rush,Mott the Hoople,Ted Nugent,Nazareth,Status Quo,Kansas,Rush,Spooky Tooth,Riot,Rory Gallagher,Mannfred Mann's EB and some many others, great music.

  • GOD thank god for youtube!!! it's the only way to find good music!!!

  • 60s 70s garage/psych, down to Earth, no fad music. Everyone mastered their parts and didn't live off hype, prepackaged prettyface bullshit. Makes today look sick, and I mean real, sick.

  • love that sandwhich... he's eating like ... oh man i have to eat damn drugs haha XD great band!

  • great music by ugly people.. the way it should be!

  • Damn they are fugly! Funky music tho

  • @Sectoidzor they are awesome though right

  • @bonesamy Vince died quite a few years ago Feb 14 189 to be exact.

  • i recon it was a cheese and ham sandwhich

  • @progjazzfusion thanks for the heads up, very sad, he was a good friend, just sent Jean an email, I understand Paul also died, not too suprized about that, he was a room mate for a short time, very interesting....

  • @bonesamy suicide in 89

  • @tme13 @bonesamy definetly not. hes working for some record company, remastering and what not.

  • @dailygrime1 If we're talking about Vincent Crane it is public knowledge he had problems with depression and overdosed on pain meds in '89. Maybe there is another Vincent Crane working for a record company but its not Atomic Rooster's Vincent Crane.

  • @tme13 oh wow, i read that as du cann

  • @tme13 Yes it was Atomic Vince I was wondering about, Just found a bunch of pictures from '80 , it might be 20 years ago he died ,but it's news to me, obviously I lost touch when I moved to US , but I feel badly about this , always meant to get back in touch and say thanks , I worked hard back in those days but he had a deffinate influence on me, I was only 21 back then.

  • LiKe WoW mAn?

  • this singer looks like a gay tiny tim

  • @deaththrasherlou1983 or a slightly corpulent roger waters

  • Rocky Dennis on vocals!

  • steve bolton is teaching me guitar

  • The fuck happened at 4:10 ? all the shrooms in that sandwich musta kicked in.

  • that organ player realy feels what he plays

fekin wicked tune tho init (that means sick to the young ones)

  • a fine example of music surpassing image. i find the fact they don't look like tv pretty-boys to make them all the more intriguing.

  • close your eyes and enjoy this fucking beatiful song.

  • we would never see again, someone who can eat some bread and sing some blues so well as Mr Farlowe did!!!

  • Anybody else think Chris Farlowe looks like Tiny Tim?

  • @mrowsan Yeah, i guess there is a slight resemblance.

  • Chris Farlowe is Funny and crazy

  • I'm still listening to Chris on Jimmy Page's Outrider album!!!!!

  • Lady GaGa looks like Chris Farlowe...

  • Crud, I just downloaded this elsewhere and didn't realize Chris Farlowe's not doing the vocals on it. What a difference :S The band is super tight but his beautiful voice MAKES IT. Everybody taking stabs at his looks can suck it. Imma go eat a sandwich and b ugly and talented.

  • @progjazzfusion thanks for that, I'll have a little search and see what I can find. I will go to america one day, and understand how much music is understood compared to the uk.

  • Is there ANYWHERE, or any way I can get the mp3 file for this? I prefer it so much to the original, Mr. Farlowe is incredible

  • @jdstrings84

It's available on cd, I have it. If you give me an email I can send it to you if you want?

  • @DANizDAN Theres no doubting the guy has talent.

  • One things for sure, Chris Farlowe didn't get any better looking since 1972....talented guy though. Anybody notice that the guitarist has no strings? LOL!

  • @Stratboy999 - he's got strings! just hard to see them. they are all playing for real, not lipsyncing.

  • Chris Farlowe, se him whith Colleseum, Amazing.

  • @MrRonnie54 - yes i agree, chris is way better in colosseum. gets to do way more. with rooster he's limited to simpler blues rock, but as colosseum just broke up before this, i guess he needed a gig...money. he's been back with colo in the 90s, 00s and presently too i think.

  • Chris Farlowe: I say! Its absolutely smashing that you chaps would invite me over for your recital! But before I sing I think I shall have another bite of one of these deleeshoos watercress and tomahto sandwiches!

  • fucking love how the singer is casualy eating a sandwhich:P

  • Great song. Better live than on record.

  • How does the keyboardist play with all the histrionics? Looks like he belongs on the Muppet Show or something.

  • @slupdawg - yeah, in the 70s people played with real feeling and didnt care how they looked.

  • @progjazzfusion Yeah, no arguments there. I'm a fan. Just never knew how keyboardists in particular kept control over the instrument when flailing about. Small motor skills and such. Used to think the same thing about Jon Lord when I'd see him play, too!

  • @slupdawg - most 70s rock organists playing style is rooted in simple blues based pentatonic and minor scale shapes and related chords used over and over in every song, so they have fingered these same key patterns over and over nightly for years and it becomes second nature. More amazing to me are some jazz organists who often play with their eyes closed and play many more scales and chords, while also doing walking bass pedal lines with their foot pedals or left hand...many vids of that on yt

  • @progjazzfusion

That was the time where they took more care of music than money!

  • 5:04 incredible vokal !

  • This is superb... just look how into the music they are.... man, this is what I call music... Now I'm going for a sandwich...

  • crystal meth at its finest

  • drums and key bords best of both

  • Ugly people eating sandwiches & being funky rule!

  • Great video of this band.

  • @Aptitude hey friend thank you, i ll looking for more songs with chris farlow thank you

  • i gather there was no mirrors in the studio that day

  • the singer looks like my grandma

  • this song is my addiction!!!

  • hey folks, i was only surprised, how they look.

rooster was a total flop though the music was great.

most people use their eyes, not their ears. their fault. and a big prob.

listen to "ugly" by the stranglers 1976.

same today. times don´t change that way you expect.

and be sure there have been tons of popular goodlooking idiots in 1971 too

  • @Myrna4Loy ok ok i was thinkin' that you've heard 60s music for the 1st time (apart from the usual fat radio old hits) ... so you don't came from the Rihanna page ? ...

I don't really like my previous commentary... i have wrote as a XIVth century german recently arrived in the so friendly county of Nottingham ...

  • mmmmmm Hayman Drums!!!!

  • pooh...they are really ugly

  • @Myrna4Loy

and now we have lots of pretty people making music that sucks. I vote for ugly people making incredible music.

  • @Myrna4Loy

and now we have lots of pretty people making music that sucks. I vote for ugly people making incredible music.

  • Comment removed

  • @Myrna4Loy Yes they are but Chris Farlowe is an awesome singer & eating a sandwich mid tune is about the coolest thing I've ever seen a singer do!

  • @stretchmorgan

    hehe, yo.

for me their 72 record made in england was the only real gem,

but this new black snake version even tops it

chris is so much better than the guy before, whose name i forgot

  • Cool guys,love that band.

  • This singer is much better than the guy who recorded the album! I love this version

  • yearbook caption "most ugly dude in a band" Tiny Tim should sue his ass off

  • 0:19 hahah when he bites the sandwich

  • a los 18..... que se laven ese rabo...........

  • eating....singing.....rocking!!!!! Yeah!!!!!

  • SOMEONE'S GOT THE MUNCHIES!

  • It would have been great had he busted out a milkshake and chilli cheese fries to go along with that sandwich.

  • hands down this fn song cranks. My 5 year old loves it we sing it all of the time before we read books before bed time. Hats off to this band.

  • A.M.A.Z.I.N.G. !!!!!!

  • The expressions on the singers face, are well worth watching this video. and to top it all off , he is casually eating a sandwich!!!! great voice indeed!!!!!

  • Looks like Kyle Bush is a singer...

  • Vincent Crane sung this so much better than Chris Farlowe

  • Thanks for sharing yes this would be say Mk4 72 lineup V. Crane keys,Chris Farlowe vocals, Steve Bolton Guitars, Ric Parnell drums

    very cool

  • It's so mind blowing I had to eat a sandwich.

  • the singer is chris farlowe. saw him live with john hiseman' s colosseum just three months ago.. he looked wasted and had to sit down several times during his performance.. good singer, too much tremolo sometimes, though

  • @skinnynorris85 Maybe being 70 years old had something to do with him having to sit down. Just a thought.

  • @wsoul1

wow you're something like a smartass? the kind of guy nobody could stand in school because he used too say too much, when he'd ought to be quiet? just a thought.

  • The lead singer looks like Wallace from Wallace and Grommit.

  • HAHAHA i thought it looked more like a peanut butter & jelly sandwich..and then i thought maybe he used it somehow to create these full sounding vocals...

  • I love YouTube, because you discover cool vids like this. Cool music as well!

  • @WoodRatGirl Hidden jems everywhere! gotta love it

  • the singer is Chris Farlowe,

Crane then recruited Chris Farlowe, at that time in Colosseum, to take the place of French. They went on tour and recorded another album in spring 1972. They released the album Made In England along with the single "Stand by Me",

  • the singer is peter french yeh?

  • Eat that sandwich

  • This was awesome, but I cracked the fuck up at "CREEPA-CRAWLY! CREEPA-CRAWLY! CREEPA-CRAWLY!"

Somebody has to do an edit job on that

  • I never knew Lon Chaney had such a nice singing voice

  • Dammit, now I want a peanut butter sandwich.

  • wow that is one bunch of ugly bastards!

  • the singer is a monster..whoa

  • is the singer chris Farlowe???I think he has the same voice.........

  • there is music that exceeds being merely a harmonious arrangement ...

damn,if this is not the supreme example of it...

  • these dudes are RIIPPPEEDD

  • Did the In Hearing Of lineup do any live work or promotion for that album at all? Farlow's a great singer, just prefered everyone that came before him especially Pete French.

  • Курят и пьют на сцене тысячу раз, но,что-бы с бутербродом... Но это фасад, а музыка то какая!? Класс!

  • Thats music

    Chris Farlowe forever!

    Only the best!

  • Saw the band in germany 1972.

Rick Parnell on a double bass Hayman Drumset, was a killer drummer...

  • Has anyone ever noticed how baked Chris Farlowe is in this video? I mean, its obvious. Hes laughing hysterically between songs, making hilarious faces during songs, has the munchies, and has chinch eyes. Pretty awesome song, btw...

  • the key board guy lol

  • Whole Lotta Whole Wheat

  • Hey, this by far is the best version of this song. I hate the high pitcehd version. This sounds more earthy and soulful.

  • WTF?....0:18

  • @Doudinet41 Yep... Sure is!!

  • Tiny Tim doing blues rock?

  • When i heard this the first time I understood 'bathroom' and I thought he was singin about his shit.....

Now that would be hard "Black snke lining in the bathroom, waiting for the flush"

  • 2:07 : best drumming ever!

  • @bronenalladin - yeah and this is the spinal tap drummer!

  • @progjazzfusion what is his name?
