For those who came late in the muzik business, Jimmy Cliff can be regarded as the John the Baptist of Reggae Music. Yes, Jimmy open the doors of reggae worldwide with the movie "The Harder they Come." Jimmy started touring with his music since 1964 & was making hits before then. At one point he was writting music to order. One of his very 1st songs for Producer Leslie Kong, "Oh Beverley" named after Leslie's Food Business actually got him to become a Producer(Ja 1st Millionair Produer).

I searched for this song all of my life. I heard it when I was a kid and spent the rest of my life trying to find out who did it. I had no idea it was Jimmy Cliff. I had been listening to the harder they come since 1979 so I was real surprised to find out he did this song which I finally found about 4 years ago. I asked every one who did this song and no one seemed to know. Now I know. I love it.

The track is off "I am the living" but I was only able to get a vinyl rip so there is a bit of crackle in the background. I dont think it was remastered on cd(?) or this track was itself remastered on any compilation/box set so I couldn't get an hq version.
