  • Dick Anderson is so mofo'ng dreamy

  • There clearly mk1 Minis from the infamous greatest film of all time, The Italian Job, & the Macgyver Minis are clearly mk3 onwards. Epic fail but great choice in car.

  • Kind of says it all about MacGyver, doesn't it? They take footage from one of the most fun movies of the 1960s and manage to make it boring and lifeless just by adding some Richard Dean Anderson.

  • WTF...I heard people saying that this was "ripped off" from The Italian Job, but I didn't think they meant LITERALLY RIPPED OFF!!! That should be f-ing illegal, licensing fees or no. No creativity these days!

  • i just remembered seeing this travesty as a child.....so i thought i would look it up...

  • What the hell is this? Plagiarize a classic and overdub it with crap music and witless yank humour.. Bahh!

  • This is a complete fiasco, all or nearly all the scenes are from the film "The Italian Job" in 1969 by Peter Collinson and starring Sir Michael Caine, Nöel Coward, Benny Hill (RIP), Maggie Blye , Raf Vallone and Rossano Brazzi

  • @FantoonTV They did that in JAG too. With Clear and Present Danger

  • recycled material, some clips are from the 1969 movie

  • @richieuy88 Some? WTF? you mean all of them, fucking plagiarism!

  • Hey i found waldo 7:23

  • Hahaha Good point

  • Lmao what the hell xD waldo is right behaind a courner xD

  • Wowo they completely copied the italian job, every single scene. Absolutely homo.

  • this video was rubbish, how dare they copy such a brilliant british film, The Italian Job, and make a Yankee, probably strait to video film

  • No, the Italian job and MacGyver are owned by the same people, you can't steal from yourself.

  • really

  • yeah

  • 7:38 LOL Crash test dummies :DDD

  • 07:14 That's insane!

  • How to ruin a good car chase..

turn it into a macgyver and make it in to a real hash..

You can see the difference in the front grill and spot lamps and the rear lights, etc, etc

  • I like MacGyvers helmet and coveralls.

  • The whole idea is that they took the Italian Job scene and turned it MacGyver, which actually made it quite funny.

  • This is total plagerism! This is discusting! I have 0 respect for MacGyver shows now.

  • How is it plagerism when paramount owns the italian job AND macgyver?

    You can't steal from yourself.

  • Woah, what episode is this, I've never seen it!

  • The thief of Budapest

  • how come every foreigner in the movie can speak english?

  • AWESOME! first episode I ever saw

  • You can't really "steal" something you own. Paramount produced MacGyver so they have every right to use footage from a movie they made.

  • Why don't people do research before posting comments? The Italian Job was originally made in 1969. The 2003 version is a remake. So actually the Italian Job came first and the footage is indeed from the original Italian Job.

  • lol its the exact same footage as the italian job, the drain bit was filmed near me

  • the early episodes until 1987/88 where stupid, like these!

  • It's Turin not Budapest.

  • That would have been a cheep scene to make.

i recon about 50 seconds of it was original.

Stupid MacGuyver, ripping off such an awesome movie as the Italian Job

  • How do you know it would have been cheap?

  • What the fuck they stole half the the damn Italian Job

  • Is this realy a MacGyver episode? I seen the series many times, cant remember this chase scene.

    Then again:

    Italian Job: Paramont

    Mac Gyver: Paramont

  • It is, it's from the first season and is titled "Thief of Budapest". Episode 3 of Season 1 to be exact.

  • wow mini cooper drifting

  • I mean I think MacGuyver was a cool swiss-army branding dude... but I own a mini... and love Italian Job... and I don't quite see how they allowed them to use pretty much all of the scenes which had a mini in it! Blasphemy I say!

  • this is a spoof of the original italian job with michael caine

  • That was so bad, I think it gave me cancer...

  • this is no Budapest. :(

  • lololololol

  • It's mystic, wereever he is in the world, all he speaks with can speak English...

  • if there were aliens, the alien might have been able to speak english too..

  • Or if they didn't you could write "¡Hola, Aliens!" on the welcome-to-earth poster...XD

  • hehe so dodgy.. go macgyver

  • I think they wound down their sliding windows in a lot of those scenes ?!?

  • Mk2s magically change to MK1s - revin! :)

  • I too am astonished and amazed this was allowed happen but more so cause my elf like friend finds it so incredible to interrupt my day with this nonsense..bugger off mick.

  • Thanks for posting -I've been trying to track down this episode for a long time.I saw it back in the 80's and remember thinking it was copied from the Italian Job but didn't realise how much direct footage was used from the movie (about 40-50% as a rough guess). Quite astonishing really...

  • i can't believe the italian job allowed macgyver to use so much of the famous chase scene in an episode ::shakes head::

  • Here's a fun fact for you:

"A great deal of the chase sequence was used in the MacGyver episode 'The Thief of Budapest'."
