First, the reason it takes a couple seconds to get the name of the song is because the radio has to lock onto the HD signal. I have the same issue with my JVC radio. It's normal.
Second, for iTunes tagging to work, you have to have your iPod plugged in. Was it plugged in for the video?

actually the Itunes tagging feature isnt available on the F-series...at all, it sucks
