  • I grew up in His church as a kid and i remember him like he was my father , There's songs he made when i was going to his church and one of them is ..Called( i got to make this journey for myself) and the other one ...Shall we gather at the river...would you happen to have these songs???   • Always have loved Bishop Robinson!!! I didn't know about him until later in my childhood, I bought "Keep The Faith" and had wondered why I hadn't heard of him or his church.. But you know when you are in CA you're kinda late with a lot of stuff! LOL

  • I was there the day this was recorded and I'm still there.

  • Also on drums was Danny James. This was the first live recording in the Cathedral.

  • The musicians at5 that time were Michael Powell on piano, Brad Pope on organ, the late Anthony Williams on organ, Dennis Wilson on drums. Brad Pope played the organ on this song. He has been the organist at Zion Cathedral COGIC in Freeport, NY for nearly 30 years. Bishop Robinson was his first musical mentor, followed by Dr. Frank Anthone White, who is now his pastor along with his father, senior pastor Bishop Frank O. White.

  • I gre up going to that church as well. had to be the 70's. I remember his face exactly as it was 30 years ago. He let us children record Oh Happy Day. It was a number one hit

  • I remember Bishop Billy Robinson and the Garden Of Prayer Family when they used to have the broadcast live every sunday nite, and believe they knew how to church.I did't know that he had went on to be with the Lord ,when did this happen.

  • He died July 23,2004, 4 years ago. Evang. Kennedy is still alive (woman who lead the song... and many of his songs)

  • Thank you he has been a big part of my life through music as well as his live broadcast back in the 70's
