The music of jazz pianists has always fascinated me and this chap's music is no exception to this "rule". Somebody mentioned "Gaga" in comparison! One cannot state the names of con artists such as "Gaga" (what a ridiculous handle that is - "Gaga"!) in one breath with a name like Legrand. If you're still performing Mr. Legrand, keep up the good work.

These cats must have been jammin' in the green room to come out and play like this. I agree with Jukebox Tenor, a stellar jazz pianist, didn't realize it until this clip. They slide into that bossa nova rhythm and burn it UP. Would love to know the sidemen. If you're into sidemen, would also love to know who "Ray" the pianist is (and the percussionist for that matter) on Casey Abrams' great version of Nature Boy here on Youtube.

The really amazing thing is he's not just a guy playing the song on the piano. He composed this song! So the interpretations and riff changes all fit the theme, and completely change the mood of the piece. Fantastic....
